    this has got to be the most detailed, well-made, and easy to understand badminton footwork tutorial I have ever seen.
    Awesome!

    This is the most clearest tutorial on the around the head at the backhand corner I've seen so far specially the Left Left Right Left Right thingy. Looking forward to other footwork tutorial you will create. Please make more footwork tutorials like this. Thank you!
    Request:
    Please make a footwork tutorial near the net and then going back all the way to the backcourt using forehand and backhand. And from backcourt all the way to the net. Straight and Diagonal (ex: from the net backhand corner up to the backcourt forehand side corner and vice versa). Thanks again! Much appreciated!

      你早拜托 thank I will make these. Have you subscribed? I have a Footwork video on my channel called « Footwork ALL CORNERS & ALL VARIATIONS » which goes over every footwork around the court moving from the centre. But I will be making individual footwork videos to add detail to each corner including one that cover footwork from back to front as you suggested.

      Yes I'm already subscribed. :) Yes I already watched that video. Thank you. Yes please, because I can't find that kind of tutorial here in TH-cam where your starting position is near the net not in the center as we normally see. This usually happens always in singles when you are countering net drop (near the net forehand corner) your opponent and then he decided to lift it back to the court (backcourt backhand corner). You need to cover the long diagonal of the court to get the shuttle. Sorry for my English but I know you get what I am trying to say. Thank you! :)

    I was wondering why and when you should use this footwork vs using a backhand stroke of you have consistency with it. You often see pro players like Chen Long taking casual backhands. While I am not at that level, a clear or drop doesn't require much power and will save me energy. Is it about the recovery speed?

    • @PritPachu
      @PritPachu  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Neel Dhebar it’s about recovery but also options, power, control of rally etc etc. CL May play a casual backhand but so can a lot of players. It doesn’t mean it’s better than a forehand. And it has not much to do with nrg efficiency. The level of fitness at that level is so high that playing it on the backhand and berg one saves is negligible. Also, count the number of times any player including CL win a point or set up for winning point off a Bachand shot. It may save you energy but that’s not really what badminton is about at its core. It’s about winning points. So although you may have a decent backhand, it doesn’t and never will trump a Forehand in the same corner. A backhand will always be weaker and less effective. It could easily keep you in a rally but it rarely put you in a winning position. Also, count the number of times a portages it in the backhand vs. a forehand in this corner. It will always result in a disproportionate ratio in the favour of forehand. For a reason.

      @@PritPachu You are right but I meant for a situation where I intend to play a non-pressuring shot. This is useful to jump into the corner and smash the shuttle but if I want to cross-court drop, why not do it the easy way?

    • @PritPachu
      @PritPachu  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Neel Dhebar sure I agree. It all depends on your motive. But again the footwork is easy once you get it and it allows you to recover to the centre better. Forehand is still better but again it all depends on you and what you want to do in the rally.

      @@PritPachu So is it better even in the situation I described? I do take overheads and I know how to do this pivot footwork but I don't really use it in my game too often, not enough practice. I usually go for running steps, but I know that the footwork you have shown is better in many situations.
