- Based on the system of SWAT, Blue Swat is formed as “Special-Selected-Service for Aliens Revolters and Monsters”.
Blue Swat consists of 3 young men. They are requested to take action in one united body by backing up each other. Their basic tactics consists of vanguard and rear guard in coping with the enemy as occasion may demand.
The way they carry out their task make this series dynamic with tension and realism. Their invasion is carried out so deftly and tactfully that it doesn’t come under our notice. A horrific invasion which surpasses all imagination progresses in our daily living. This is a thrilling action series filled with startling reality and suspense you have never seen before !
in 2012 a friend lent me a copy of Blue Swat's first Japanese dvd. Since then I have always been curious to watch. Unfortunately it was not shown in Brazil in the 90s. But now in 2020 I am having the opportunity to watch legally by Toei himself.

I watch this series in my childhood. Now I understand why I love g-old series like this.
The villains are way smarter than late tokusatsu final bosses. Instead conquering something unrealistic in flashy way, these aliens brought real terror by invading critical sector in humanity. Also human technologies in this series looks worthy in a battle. I personally love this kind of series, Blue Swat also what cames in my mind when I see KR G-3/G-3X and somewhat Faiz in early episodes. I love how they struggle without overpowered device or else. Dammit! Thanks TOEI.
They do try to make a tokusatsu series for adults.

Mostly Brazil and Peru. From the late 80s through the early 90s those shows took our TVs by storm.

@@Primevals33 Dubbed, all of them. As for the reasons behind it, well, it would be a very complex and time consuming answer, so let me just say it's was a case of right people doing the right at the right time and place.
@@leonardotube I remember seeing a lot of these films in the late 70's in the San Francisco bay area. It was quite a treat, considering the rest of the country in small markets would not book them. NY and Los Angeles was the other place to see them back then.
@@Primevals33 I know that some of those shows were broadcast in Hawaii in the late 70s and early 80s. And some cable channel aired a comedy version of a Super Sentai called Dynaman in 1987.

Me and my friends used to joke in a Japanese superhero show the music in the opening like this would be playing when a character is being killed and as he is dying, he will be remembering all the good times he had with his team.

Here's a fun fact. This toku was meant to be the 3rd season for VR Troopers but for some reason,Saban decided to back down on that. :/
That was a bitch move. I would actually love to see how Blue Swat would be adapted as the VR Troopers.
A pity, it would have been the first time that all three troopers would have fought a monster side by side. They could have added some visual effect to stock footage fight scene to make their pistols look like laser pistols to pass the censors.
