That Mateus-solo was probably one of the best i've heard in a long long time. Melodic, mature and choppy!
Mature is a great word for it. Sometimes highly technical guitarists can sound overbearing. Not only was this performance technical, but it showed a sense of feel and poise that very few could pull off.

Joe Satriani sued Coldplay back in 2009, I think, because of similarities between this song and Satriani's "If I Could Fly." The case was dismissed and, though the details were never released, it's thought that Coldplay had to pay a settlement to Satriani.

Can't seem to stop watching this. The guitar work is incredible, and so is all the other musicianship, including the singing. And maybe most incredible-it's a real, live recording. The problem with popular music is that most folks don't have a clue about what goes into it and they only respond to the "radio version". This is vastly superior. Thanks guys, it's inspiring!
