Both masters in their spaces but let's acknowledge this is the best Shampoo commercial I've ever seen.
Based comment lmao
😂
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
And btw I'm a huge UAFX fan. 4 UAFX pedals on my board right now.
This is the best interview of Mateus on TH-cam, especially for someone who wants to learn his style. I like how Nahre has Mateus walk us through his method and how he thinks about his playing. It *almost* feels approachable broken down like this.
i've been waiting years for this lol
Western classical compositions tend not to leave room for improvisation as the spaces are integral to the composition. The blues have huge holes where the musician can improvise. They are similar to the "raga" which is a melodic framework for improvisation and composition in classical Indian music. Nahre perhaps is finding it difficult to reconcile the two understandably bc they are 2 different animals so to speak.
The interviewer skillfully made him feel at ease, allowing him to delve into his approach in great detail, something I haven't witnessed him do with others.
his dry signal SOUNDS SO GOOD ALREADY DAMN
Can we imagine how much practicing is behind that playing. Like he explained, may be he feel it like exploring harmonies and possibilities not practicing. But still sometimes in the past he was beginner, like everybody else.
We are so lucky to be in a time where we can watch the creative magic unfold in realtime!!!
I love the way that Nahre drew out so many insights from Mateus. This conversation is like a window into the mind of a musical genius.
I like his chill personality. The great hair and the stoned chill vibe is probably the best combination on the YT circuit of guitarists.
Love how Nahre lets him express his approach without trying to coach him (she's a few levels up from him, speaking in harmonic vocabulary and developmental sense). Great conversation!
No matter what this guy is the guitar and not the other way around. The control is out of this world
man all love mateus 💙 from Nepal...Asia
What a guitar player …. Goosebumps.
"you're so good its frustrating" lol me when i watch every guitarist that are good
Damn...this is like Spiderman meets Batman.
14:24 This is the first time I see Paul's name mentioned in a context like this to a non-guitar player.
Man, this is the best video I've seen of Mateus breaking down his playing. The man's a freaking legend!
Im brazilian and never seen Mateus getting the opportunity to be cherished so well into his craft like this, you both suits a very natural ambient for introspective insights to come out. Thank you guys! Love both of your sweet souls/music.
best interview of mateus, rick beato did a great job but the depth of the thought process in this is next level
Yeah Rick beato is pretty nutshellish character in music. his lesson, critics and praise (interview) is sounded like the music that he called garbage in the chart. Shallow
The villain from Across the Spiderverse is a good interviewer!
Mateus plays like ive always wanted to play. even since before i started playing guitar 20 years ago. organic shapeless free beautiful
The whole time I can only sense their connected chakra lol.
They have such a chemistry😂
same!!
His neck thumb bass movement/use, especially when its higher on the neck than the diade/or triad /or extended chord is the extraordinary technique IMHO. Cause he even says he has small hands, but his 'thumb joint and rotation is amazing/not easy and I'd love more about that.
What he's just pulling off after deactivating his effects at the end of the video is just the sweetest stuff I've ever heard on a guitar.
This guy is just incredible.
Mateus is a such a special player. One of the best of the new generation there is.
Nari is just there holding the space …masterfull interviewing
Best guitarist of this generation and its not even close
Dear mateus, thats not normal.
And that, kids, is how I met your mother!
One of the best guitarists, I ‘ve ever listened
This was great! Mateus knowledge of the fretboard and his feel for music are out of this world!
They are both so nice, cute and chill. it's delightful. Wonderful artists.
Brilliant. I love Mateus’ command of the fretboard. Everything sounds so fluid, clear and correct. His embelishments are incredible. Such a chill dude for being so good at the guitar
This interview the other way around would/will be awesome specially with Mateus learning how to play piano.
Mateus Asato is so very musical and the analysis from Nahre Sol is so very interesting as the her classical brain tries to drop in a language to describe what he is doing without thinking...following his ears down the melody line and adding passing notes and even chordal melodic ideas that appear to flow without effort as glides up and down in his very laid back way...almost breathing out the music from his fingers...
We need a part 2 of this interview soon.
30:18 , yeah nahre, we all had the same level of frustration because of him..
Maju deve morrer de orgulho
Top demais!
Mateus´s playing never get boring to listen too, such a good taste, phrasing, tone. When I watched him playing for the first time I was so amazed, and still am.
Thank you Nahre and Mateus for a wonderful experience we had listening and learning from both of you 🙏🏼🎶🎹🎸! Thank you Universal Audio ❤
Mateus Asato é um monstro demais!!!
Nahre is magnificent.

Great interview ❤
27:23 its Instagram filters. Everyone uses the most nutty filter at first, but over time, you find out whats a subtle touch, and when its appropriate to use any at all
Beautiful video
Nice interview ✌️
merci pour cette video , quelle chance nous avons .
Amazing !!! You seems friends so musical ! ;-)
Yeah I would agree the flowing hair and the flicking it back is so very much like a shampoo commercial
RECORDING WHIT VOLT 176 JEJE SOUNS COOL and lindo
finally full session is here.... mateus is just the best of this era !
Crazy
They gonna loved by there fiancé 😊so much of a happy sound.

Ok. I think these two are going on a date after this one.
😂😂😂they should
Whew! 🔥 Match made in heaven right there.
👏👏👏👏👏👏
I know it has nothing to do with the interview but anyone know what kind of lights those are in the back. The strobe hexagon ones
I watched the video yesterday and there were tabs which I cannot find anymore today?! Is that the case?
This was wonderful!
29:46 for practice
❤
Neve 33609 in Spark please.
It would be awesome to know what the pedals and the recording chain are, anyone? This way UAD would take more customers interested in the tones from those pedals
You can find more info about the UAFX pedals Mateus used in our blog: www.uaudio.com/blog/learn-how-to-create-compelling-cover-song/
He is such a complete musician. Does anyone know what he is using to give him that beautiful stereo , reverb , delay sound?
UAFX pedals. www.uaudio.com/guitar-pedals.html
Haha ya uad hosted event and a full uad pedal board at his feet …
Brasil

All i have to say is Damn, this dude is an alien!!
Brazilian So Fun much
Como não estou entendendo porra nenhuma, rsrs, vamos passando o vide até que ele toque de novo!!!!
Playing gitar just like how we try to understand the mighty space..
Head n Shoulders 😂
Why is the audio panned so much to the left?
Man he bring Paul Gilbert..
Pablo Gilberto 🎉
A Musician! (with a capital M)
"It's frustrating" Did she talk about how Mateus plays that melody at lightning speed? Okay, it's just me frustrated translating it
Everytime i watch him makes me wanna quit play guitar 😂😂
A quick note to aspiring guitar players watching this: Buying the exact same gear as Mateus, won't make you a good guitar player.
🤍
If he doesn’t get her number, he is blind, she’s so into him. What a potential power couple.
he is married
he married like 1 week ago lmao
@@TheRixcardo it's a shame bc non musical spouses don't know how to deal with pro musicians after 6 months of infatuation before hearing "Can you turn that down or play a different song?" while mixing. Then, "Can we do something today that doesn't include music?"
The inerview is too short !!!! 😂
Amazingly skilled guitarist, but I don’t get this comment coming from the phenomenal Nahre Sol - as a beginner guitarist and pianist, I feel much more frustrated looking at Nahre Sol. Even in 10 lightyears I will never come close to her skill level.
29:55 - just reinforces the idea that a good player is a good player with or without effects.. and that effects enhances you.. so if you're a poor player, then it enhances your poor playing.
