Thanks Mateus - I bought this a few days ago and I love it. I immediately replaced the Pentatonics section of my practice routine with the things you teach in this masterclass. So excited for the day that my pentatonic visualization is so seamless that I become free on the fretboard!

I just wanted to say thank you for that and please don't stop uploading videos

Sounds like Buckethead! Rhythm n blues double stops’. This guy plays some of best double stops I ever seen. Three words describe ‘double stops’ AXIS BOLD LOVE’
Tuning adjustment maybe not an intonation adjustment. Plus it barely any pressure. G string tends to go out of tune first so a pinch on it couldn’t hurt most times. Not a showy thing.
Intonation adjustments are done at the bridge .. that was just a touch of tuning correction. Beautiful playing Mateus! Amazing how that simple scale became so beautiful in your hands
@@Patrick-ij8bl let's say you have a guitar where the intonation is slightly off. If you're in a portion of the song that you know to goes higher on the fretboard, you could make a tuning adjustment. I doubt that's what's happening, but just saying intonation adjustments happen at the bridge is missing some details. You can also change the intonation by the nut or maybe even fret shaving
@@Patrick-ij8bl I do realise about bridge intonation, but to expand on what @colton3507 explained in this thread, I play a lot of classical guitar which has practically no bridge intonation adjustment capability, and often, when playing a piece higher up the neck, I have to 'sweeten' the open tuning to cater for certain frets on certain strings up the neck that are a few cents out, so basically adjusting the intonation for the position I am primarily playing in. Same if I am using a capo above the 6th fret on my acoustic or electrics - I always have to play with the tuners to get certain strings to intonate accurately. But aside from these semantics, big props to Mateus for being able to hear that slight tuning issue even on top of the existing looped riffs he was playing over.
I've been a fan of your playing for almost a decade and unbelievably I think this is the first time I've ever heard you speak! Lol. But you have such a calming voice, matches your playing!
Nice perspective. I always point people to Eric Johnson’s playing when they dismiss the pentatonic as “beginner” or “basic”. Now I can show them this video as well.
Bro, I've been jamming on your JTC licks for years, but this asatonic scale is just hitting different lately! Crazy that it's been almost a decade, and I’m only now hearing you speak-your voice is so chill, just like your playing.
Pentatonic scale was my first scale too. My friend's mother showed me how I could use it to improvise with a blues pattern. The Chinese have 10,000 uses of pentatonics in beuatiful ways the West does not imagine.
I’ve always admired your playing, so I was really excited to dive into the course. However, I felt that the content didn’t fully reflect the value of the $119 price. There were some transcription errors, and the lessons seemed a bit basic compared to what I was expecting from someone with your skill level. I just wanted to share this feedback, hoping it helps in refining future content. I know you’ve got so much more to offer!
obrigado pelos seus videos Mateus, fui num show em que você participou como guitarrista e sempre te admirei muito, maior guitarrista do Brasil atual !!!!!
I’ve always said that the pentatonic scale is the best place to start on guitar. It gives you a perfect skeleton to start with and eventually add to and branch away from

What an insight! I'm enlightened.. i play guitar for almost 17yrs now sadly i'm stock, and i'm only playing acoustic guitar and playing easy songs and sing. But today i decided to buy an electric guitar so that i can improve more going forward.. and i realize i'm suck at playing electric guitar lol.. i hope i can learn more eventhough i can't play that much because of work
The pentatonic scale is the sound of humanity....I challenge anyone to find out how old it actually is - its unknown - they did find a bone flute in a cave in Germany radiocarbon dated over 15,000 yrs old- pentatonic scale. Then add two notes - steps 4 and 7 to the pentatonic and you get the major diatonic - dated apx 1200s
Hey Mateus I am interested in purchasing this guitar and I'm wondering what your impressions of it are? I love that it's Japanese made, and it's just gorgeous
