The screen is more than bright and vibrant enough. I just finished Aria of Sorrow and have about 10 or so hours on the device in total. I was going to mod my GBA but this came out and is a way better value for what you get. It's almost like these TH-camrs are looking for any criticism they can find. It's a really good device, especially if you focus solely on playing GBA games on it.
I completely agree, this is great for GBA games. But when it comes down to it the screen isn’t bright enough for me for outside use. If you’re on a sunny bus with no direct shade on the screen it’s like the original GBA all over again. I do like the device, but for indoor use mostly. I’d recommend the Anbernic RGSP for travel.
Just to clarify, this console doez not have a 4:3 screen, it has a 3:2 screen, just like the the original gba. That's the biggest selling point, since it's a rare screen aspect ratio. 4:3 is the norm for emulated games, not 1:1 (thats only some consoles like gb and gbc).
I can't imagine the backlight is that big of a deal unless you're playing in direct sunlight. The 3:2 aspect ratio and perfect 3x integer upscale is a major selling point. The one real flaw is the dpad, it fails the contra test making platformers like Sonic Advance difficult and the dpad should be a bit further left of the screen.
i absolutely love the idea of this handheld. i am such a big fan of the gba and have one myself but its all beat up and modding it just seems a bit out of my league at this moment but this device seems so perfect. i am usually not a fan of Anbernic due to them just pushing out handheld after handheld without really changing much but i think this one is really worth it!
I want this but the price is steep for what will ultimately be a device I'd only play GBA on, especially when I already have a RG35XX SP. The aspect ratio is perfect for that but I don't think I'd use it for any other systems. If I could get the RG34XX for around $50 that'd be ideal.
I’m loving my powkiddy v10 it’s so cheap and plays and feels great! I’m only using it for gameboy advance games haha. And I’m enjoying it way too much! Tho this 34xx is definitely going to come in this household haha. Great video!!!
I've always wanted a gba that could play, gb, gbc, gba, nes and snes all in one package. Dream has come true lol. And it can do more than that. Fortunately, I'm not an aspect ratio snob so other systems will work just fine for me. I'll blow it up to full screen on this one because correct aspect ratios on this particular device are relatively small with big bezels.
im calling it by the end of the year we will get an anbernic ds copy device or 3ds style device and price point will be around $80 ds / $120 3ds style anbernic device
My estimates are more like 160 for DS/3DS cause it wouldn't make sense to have two different ones. Though not making sense makes sense sometimes with anbernic
@@AnimeGamerCorner I know, I phrases mine weird ig. I meant looking at how T820 devices are priced, my guess would be around 180 cause even if they keep the same chip, a flip is likely to cost just a bit more. Plus I don't think they're gonna keep the same one necessarily since T820 can't do full 3DS
I picked up 2 of these 34XX one in indigo and one in glacier. 100% worth getting the 34XX. Display is more than bright enough for me during daytime use and too bright for me during night time use. Plenty of PS1 and PSP games you can play on the 34XX with just the dpad.
Not a clone. Calling it a "clone" suggests it emulates on a hardware level and is capable of playing original cartridges. The Analogue NT is a clone. The Retron 5 is a clone. This is an emulation handheld running Linux on an ARM CPU that only plays roms, also known as an SBC handheld. And it will in no way "beat" Nintendo. This isn't even in the same market as Nintendo's consoles.
Fair point. I agree it's not a clone in the sense that an FPGBC is. But the form factor *is* cloned, so I don't think it's a big deal. That being said- for a lot of people yea it's beating nintendo for how pricey and cumbersome it is to get a modded and modernized GBA.
The RG34XX is the handheld Nintendo *WISHES* it released in 2024.
Dude I know, if they actually did this it would go bananas! I might have to make a video about this...

What's your opinion on the dpad for Metroid and Castlevania?
I agree on the TH-camrs, I typically like small channels
Also do you feel like the dpad is too close to the screen, I noticed some people thumbs hitting it

Yes this is correct, in the section about screens the pixel count are right. But I misspoke on the ratios, good catch!
Anbernic is becoming the king of clones, they made gaming easier!
The gba is my favorite retro console/library. So many memories
Yeah but Nintendon't

I’m definitely buying this but the trim ui brick is next on my list
What stand is that at 0:45?

I like this one too, and the OS is actually to a point I wouldn't swap it out for something else.
Which ps1 game It is 5:53?
Its remind me of Jazz Jackrabbits 2

Yes this system is awesome. I have one and I am Glad I did Jump on it and Buy in. It's amazing
Anbernic really nailed the design of this.
I think so too

Thanks and if you find a comparable battery you can fit a larger on in the V10

I'm too happy with my Anbernic RG35XXSP to swap tbh. The SP in general holds more nostalgia for me.
You still look 12 though bro. ROCK IT!
What's your favorite GBA games to play?
I just went through emrald rogue, and going back through Metroid fusion again. Just fantastic games.
What is the game at 10:10?
LocoRoco PSP
You're crazy. The screen is beautiful
Great review, mate!!
Where to get a lanyard like the one you have on your modded GBA?
rest peacefully Tendo switch2 ⚰️
Want to ask where you got the stand for the TrimUI Brick, TIA! :)
I made it, I'll update the description with the Holo stand files later today.
Can we have this with a good dpad pls?
Looks amazing!
I'd wait for the 34xx plus

I was just thinking that ever since I got my SP.
Not for $80, it'll be way more than that. I guess too much. Maybe 180
My estimates are more like 160 for DS/3DS cause it wouldn't make sense to have two different ones. Though not making sense makes sense sometimes with anbernic
@goovindnarula6470 i was saying it they go the ds right it would be $80 but if they go the 3ds right $120

Anbernic program works 4 at least 1 month and then stop working. PC games Emulator still top.
I hope they 'clone' PSP Go next lol
That would be cool
does he realize that there are hotkeys that turn up the brightness quite a bit
It was maxed...
Maybe the screen is just dim then huh...

Why will it might beat Nintendo? At what? The title is confusing.

alright calm down. nobody claimed all that mess, he only called it a clone because it looks like a gba jeez.
