Been loving my rg406v. Taken some tinkering to get all I want, but that was part of the fun.
Any tips on how to add games? I can get them on the gamelist but they fail to load

I have it, it's a great device. Black looks way cooler, mine is the gray one...
I ordered the gray one because I don’t like that the black comes transparent.
I’m not sure why they constantly change the plastic color options.
Anbernic is becoming the king of the emulation community
The purple Anbernic 353V was my first emulation device. The battery literally blew up in my hands, nobody mentions that with these devices. That being said, the 406V looks like a much beefier version of that device and I hope they figured out the battery situation because I really want to get my hands on one

Uhhh.... you gotta use the charger it comes with man you can't use just any charger with it
Had mine for over a month and so far no issues!
Its because its a li-po battery (batterirs used in RC cars back in the day)
Very high output, but you cannot overcharge it and you cannot use fast chargers because...well, you found out lol

This one, specifically, irks me because if ANY vertical handheld would/should've featured linear analog triggers, it should've been this chonky bastard. Sure, it can run GC, but you're SOL when it comes to titles that used the analog triggers, since unlike the DC (which you'd just map the analog triggers to the unused right stick), the right stick is gonna already be mapped to an existing input (C-stick). Well, at least Anbernic finally got their shit together in regard to sticks, starting with this device, though it'd be nice if they'd put them in RG556, since the sticks IT has are why I don't own one...
We need that GameCube emulator and this would be a hit. Soon I hope.
Dose this play GameCube games?
Im really torn between this and the 406h… while I love the vertical form factor, I don’t know if it’s comfortable enough for long gaming sessions, and the triggers seem better on the 406h… idk people, help me. This one is drawing me in bc playing gameboy games on this probably feels so good. Plus the sticks for 3d games…
The v is not comfortable. My h hasn’t arrived yet but I kept my RG cube longer than I kept any other handheld (except Odin 2). Was so comfortable, only sold in anticipation of this. Short Switch style sticks really let the cube down.
Once I review the 406h I can say, but as of now I like the sticks on the 406V for usability they just look odd. But they are way better than switch style ones.

i want exactly this but square corners and retro looking, this looks like a rc controller and the actual retro looking consoles are either $700 (you know which one) or too small

I would buy it but it needs just a tiny bit of more performance and more case color options . `Probably the next gen chip set would be enough then I would buy it for a gift.
Some games are in Japanese/another language other than english. Do you know if we can change that to Eng?

trying to find a full list of consoles it can support? Looking for more odd ball ones like Panasonic 3Do, Atari Jaguar, also very disappointed to not see ancient consoles like various ataris not included. I bought mine off amazon with 128gb and was really disappointed with the lame batch of games included.
I'm no expert but I would think as long as there's an Android emulator app for those consoles then they should work?

My S24 Ultra has a far better screen and runs Switch upscaled perfectly. The Razer Kishi I use with it has better buttons too.

When I play a modern iteration of the classic Game Boy, the first thing it needs to be is retro, as in look similar to the Game Boy. These colour options aren't retro and that's a fail. I may as well play something else (that's horizontal so can include the more powerful systems, and more comfortable) because there's no nostalgia evoked with this one.
Horizontal (16:9) started after PS2, so this is perfect up to it really
Horizontal isn’t retro and that’s a fail too tho. You can get 406v in grey and swap out the button colors for red.

They make too many devices, they know how to but it’s confusing to the customer.
