One time I called my mom ugly because honestly we have a very bad relationship and I grew up with her calling me a B word or hore, or bullying me for crying or calling or making a simple mistake. So when I turned 18 I totally blew up one day and we got into a huge fight I called her old and ugly and I still regret it to this day. Despite the fact that she has called me worse. I never want anyone to call her that again not even myself. I think that's horrible to say to someone but especially my mom.

I know this might not be relevant, but i just want to emphasise that marrying multiple wives isn’t Islamic culture. I know its common in most islamic countries/in muslims, and as it is a part of our religion, it’s a concept so widely mistaken by both muslims and non-muslims (rightfully so). Marrying multiple wives isn’t mandatory in any culture following islam. It isn’t even something sacred or “fruitful” if you may. Islam prefers marrying only one as it acknowledges humans (or men specifically) don’t have the capability to treat 2 or more women equally. Actually it’s even stated that Islam encourages one to marry someone younger around their age, so that the marriage remains fun and playful. The only time a second marriage should be considered is if conceiving a child is an issue or if you’re marrying someone older that is having issues finding a spouse/someone to support them, or if you’re marrying a widow to aid her and/or her child. Ironically, these objectives support Usman’s case, but these are all (minus concieving) such outdated excuses, because marrying multiple wives was introduced in Islam at a time where these issues were at a rise and men were marrying innumerable women. It was also to free enslaved women (basically this was a time when women were really underprivileged and didn’t have the rights they have today) and so Islam imposed a law to limit the number of women you can marry i.e 4 and even so having 1 wife is the ideal. Many Islamic personalities that we look upto have stayed committed to 1 purely out of love. I’m baffled by the ignorance of Muslims on such a simple yet made-complex matter. And i can understand why outsiders would find it dystopian. That being said Usman is an asshole. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk

She doesn’t love him she is just as shallow as Usman is. He’s done everything someone can do to destroy this relationship and she’s still there. He’s already shown who he is and she doesn’t take the hints. This is not genuine love. He’s out of her league and she wants to force the issue. She knows he’s not attracted to her and she is ok with it one minute and the next she’s upset.

Well, first of all, she already would be the second wife ... remember baby Lisa. if Usman was smart he would have already married the younger, local woman and not tell Kimbaaaaaly, then marry her for her money, devotion and green card. She doesn’t love him. This isn’t love, this is trauma. She has unhealed wounds and doesn’t know herself so she accepts anything. She may speak up for herself in the moment but then backtracks and accepts precisely what she said she wouldn’t. That is not love, it is fear.
