Frankly I think that Kim is in love with the idea of Usman, of falling in love with her fantasy man.... someone exotic, creative, young and sexy (to her).... and not the reality of life with Usman (multiple wives, large hostile extended family, multiple thirsty fans, large blocks of time spent apart, different customs, age prejudice, etc)
When he picked her out of a crowd of female admirers to be with her, that was her super fan crush dream come true. No doubt she feels as if she has won the lottery.
Eventually reality will catch up with her. But for now she's too busy wearing her rose colored glasses while building her house in the clouds and picking out furniture.

It’s like when I first met the parents of my partner who didn’t speak the same language as I did at that time, I could tell they were happy to meet and know me. And they pressed him to translate every single thing I said.
Now I speak enough of that language that I can understand what they say a fair bit of the time. And yes, they like me. They have even joked with one another about how “she’s the child we should have had and just never did.” Which sounds awful, but culturally, that’s a common point of humour.

This confused me also. I grew up on a farm and bulls are for breeding and females milk/babies/meat.
I guess some people may eat bulls, but I don’t think a lot of people do. Supposedly it is more tough.

@@pearlsplumvlog1746 9:20 that's 100% a bull, and every culture that keeps cattle eats bulls (unless by "bull" you mean an older and/or uncastrated adult). half of the calves born will always be bulls, and they can only be used for meat or as beasts of burden, or for breeding, but that requires typically only one bull per herd of cows.
I think this looks like quite a young bull, not yet fully grown, so it may well be good for slaughter within the next couple of months. I would expect bulls to be cheaper than cows (except for very special bulls for breeding, those can be the most expensive since one bull with good genes can produce hundreds of times more calves than a cow with good genes), so this must have been because kim wanted something cheaper. either that, or usman said that his family would only be interested in meat, not in milking a cow or breeding more calves, in which case a bull would have been the more reasonable option (or also if it's intended for use as a working animal, as bulls grow bigger and stronger... though I'm not sure how early those need to be castrated and if this one already was).
edit: 'bull' does mean uncastrated, but that's definitely a male either way.
