- It's time for Kim, Usman and Jamal to meet Mahadi, the four year old nephew that Usman wants to adopt. When Usman breaks the news to his brother, Mohammed is shocked. But, surprisingly he doesn't rule it out. However, they'd need Kim to convert to Islam. Will converting her religion be one step too far for Kim? Or, will history repeat itself when she inevitably backtracks and readjusts her boundaries?

Nobody in the programme mentioned the trauma to this little boy to be taken from his home and mom and dad. This was heart breaking. The little chap is clearly very close to his daddy too.

I’m a South African woman and I can say that it is normal for siblings to treat each other’s children like their own and take them in but only if the parent is unable to and you are able to give them a better life and again this usually happens if the parent dies this is kinda weird though

I guess here he uses the child as his insurance to be able to stay in the USA, once he divorces her or is being found out of cheating. Because once it's legally both their child, the child gets US citizenship, which then allows Usman to change to a visa to take care of a minor, without having to stay with her. He can bribe his brother easily by stating: she isn't going to raise him, it will be me and your child will have a better future in the US.

I am Muslim and I have to say even if she did revert to Islam, it would be very clear that she wouldn’t have love for the religion or true belief in it, which would be quite offensive. How can Kim sit with a straight face and pretend that these ridiculous scenarios are reasonable or even doable. At this point I believe she and Usman are orchestrating these ludicrous ideas and playing them out in the scenes on the show in order to boost their screen time so TLC will not consider their story line to be winding down.
