Take classes and practice the fundamentals, safety, grip, stance, weaver or boxing stance, stick to using blazer as it is a good cheap ammunition brand. Go at the range and at home. Do it at home more to simulate the range/ a simulation for competition range. By a dummy gun or use something in the middle. As I said about stance it is all preference and what you are doing. Be open and talk about this to your family here don't keep be quiet about it be open and let them know about this. Be open to new ideas on both sides and give each other time.
