- Moss Stitch or Linen Stitch is the perfect crochet stitch for blankets. In this video I show you step-by-step instructions for learning this effective stitch.
Moss (or Linen Stitch) is easy to memorise, so it makes the perfect stitch for beginners or for projects where you want to relax.
The stitch is formed using a multiple of 2 chains + 2 chains at the end of each row. The repeat is a single crochet followed by a chain.
In the video, I show a small sample of the stitch and the beginning few rows of my Temperature Blanket for 2024.

I am currently working on a blanket in Mosaiccrovhet. It is 4 years in the making do far. It looks beautiful but as it is the first time l have worked in this type of crochet took me a while to get my head around the pattern. I have now manage it 🎉. Having said that the last 4 years have been difficult with family bereavements so my grey cells where not what they should be to do the pattern so ended up doing a lovely 2 row repeat blanket. I find crochet very calming for the soul.

I noticed that that you use US terms. I crochet using US terms as l find them more logical than the UK terms.
