    Just got into GW2 4 days ago (first MMO ever) and out of all the classes, Revenant blew me away the most with how fun and intuitive it is!

    You just earned a "GOLDEN SUBSCRIBE."
    Breakdowns of synchronicity between builds, armor, weapons are always welcome.
    Where I see high numbers stacking and say "That's got to be the best build," people like you are able to do a deep-dive into skills and make everything mesh.

    Thanks for this even though I'm already lvl61. Funny enough I've got the exact traits you recommend as I followed the Leveling guide from metabattle so far. Just the constant need to swap stances is a little annoying, however swapping a stance also gives you buffs so it's kinda necessary.

    axe is good for an offhand for its aoe pull and small teleport. Staff is meh it's more a pvp weapon, open world pve is so easy you don't really need it.
    Hammer secondary can be good if you want range, and it has great damage.

    Love all of your vids Flamingo. Watch them all constantly. I was curious about this though after watching this, Is this the best way to build while leveling? I know you say it's your opinion which is great, but there is also conflicting videos saying running Demon stance and building Condi is better than power at least until getting towards endgame. I know it sounds off considering Power is usually the way to go leveling but is running Demon stance and condi fine as well? From how I understand it Condi and Demon stance is better sustain than Assassin and power. Just curious on your thoughts! Keep up the good work. :3

    • @HeroicFlamingo
      @HeroicFlamingo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      As always, there is more than one way to skin a cat and that definitely applies to the Revenant! Condi with demon stance is a very good option on the Revenant so don't feel like you're wrong if you would rather go in that direction 😃 I would say that there isn't much in it and the reason I have gone with the power is because I think it's a bit more straightforward and I want to try and help new players as I know people already find the Revenant quite hard 😊 thank you for your very nice words!

    • @senseivyra2465
      @senseivyra2465 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@HeroicFlamingo Oh no problem at all. It was mainly just to get your input. I have a disability in my wrist which prevents a lot of button casting, so with Demon and Condi, sitting in demon stance and hitting the elite skill and just autoing with the occasional 2 and 5 deletes a lot of the harder content and makes things soloable that otherwise wouldn't be. I guess I should of mentioned that portion to begin with. I guess you can call it a LI [Low Intensity] build for people like me. Power Rev looks awesome! My hand just wont allow it. Haha.

    • @HeroicFlamingo
      @HeroicFlamingo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have seen a lot of LI builds around and I hear they can be quite effective! I hadn't thought of it like that before but builds like that must be so great for people like yourself that struggle to smash all the buttons due to a disability 😊 thanks for sharing that! I may consider looking at some LI builds for videos in the future or at least mentioning LI alternatives when making videos 😃

    • @senseivyra2465
      @senseivyra2465 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@HeroicFlamingo You should! Every class has at least one or two to my knowledge for LI builds. Granted they aren't going to be raid material, but fractals and events and such can be taken down just as easily if not faster with some LI builds. The pros might consider them to be a bit 'boring' but for people like me it's how I can play this game. Without them I would be in town just staring at everyone lmao. I won't take up much more of your time though, a lot of people are getting into the LI builds. I have noticed them becoming more popular and it could be a fresh thing for you to grab the disabled portion of viewers and grow even more. Just a thought! Keep up the good work as said, I watch all of your stuff and will continue. Have a good day! :]

    • @KidDynamite22
      @KidDynamite22 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@senseivyra2465 not Flamingo but I play a lot of Rev. Condi is stronger but only towards endgame. That's not to say it can't be levelled with but it will be very slow and you may not see the sustain benefit that endgame brings. Once it's fully developed the reason condi has the sustain is because you can wear trailblazer or celestial gear and have runes of torment equipped. The armor gives a huge amount of defensive stats and the torment runes heal you for a % of the torment damage you do. The reason it's easier for condi to build tankier than power is because condi generally only needs 2 stats to maximise damage (condi damage and expertise) power needs power, precision and ferocity leaving less room for defence.
      You can still build a power Rev with a pretty decent LI lean. Use Dwarf stance mainly , the spinning hammers essentially replace the Demon's elite. You get lots of small packets of damage, damage reduction and healing so in dwarf turn on hammers then auto. It's very good. Use Shiro as the other legend and play it the same way, just turn on impossible odds and auto.
      Gear wise to survive go with a mix of Knight's, Cavalier's and either Valkyrie or Marauder. Mix and match to keep your crit high then supplement ferocity and vitality from there (with Cavalier and Valk/Marauder). You can also use runes of earth or dolyak to help with survivability which is quite important with LI.

    HF just a small critique, if this is a leveling guide shouldn't you be showing the weapons you start off with and how things progress as you level up instead of starting from level 80?

    • @HeroicFlamingo
      @HeroicFlamingo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      It's a "leveling build guide" rather than a "leveling guide" so I'm recommending a build you should use to level with. If I had to level a character from 1-80 just for a video and do it 9 times to cover each profession, it would unfortunately take much too long. So I'm happy with the way it is 😊

    • @HeroicFlamingo

      I wouldn't recommend swapping out for an axe on this build as that's predominantly a condition damage weapon which doesn't fit in with all of the traits and stats we have chosen 😃 condi is still a very good option on the Revenant so if you want to use the axe, you should perhaps look at a condi build which utilizes the legendary demon stance 😊

    Why power build better then condi when lvl?

    • @HeroicFlamingo
      @HeroicFlamingo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well 2 main reasons I would say. 1) Easier for newer players to grasp as it's just do as much damage as possible rather than thinking about which conditions to use when. 2) When leveling, most enemies are relatively easy so you can bring them down quicker with the direct damage of a power build and therefore level a bit quicker ☺️ obviously this is just my opinion and you may well prefer using a condition build yourself!

    Also showing us your full set of Berserk and Jewelry is not helpful, at 25 i have no jewelry, most of my armour is still level 5
    A good levelling guide might mention where tog get Gear _while_ levelling, the tradepost only sells 80, i cant sell my unwanted gear, cant buy any new bits

      I got with my reve to about 22 earlier this week, so I won't tell youwhat is the most effective way, but exping in gw when you dont go against 6+ higher levels is not hard. I ve unlocked the assassin stance first and it makes you hit harder and allows you to have permanent (with f2) +50% movement speed for getting to places fast. I would recommend you to read the theme of the stances and pick one you like thematicaly, unlock it and just try it out and if you dont like it you can save up hero points for another in the meantime, I guess you should have enough hero points already.
      You get some better equip from story quest or them heart vendors for karma, but the gear doesnt matter much while exping.
