    Fact: You don’t have to change your OEM wheels in every circumstance. Some sierras/Silverado’s come with 20” diameter wheels and those do not need to be replaced unless you want to.

      Most lift kits come with spacers so you don’t have to replace the wheels.

      Oem wheels on lifted trucks look tarded. Will need spacers so they don’t look sucked in. And everyone knows you couldn’t afford to lift and and wheels. Which might be dumb if you care but I would just save and do them at the same time. Plus u will need some nice amp steps 😉 the lift is the cheap part is what you will figure out

    • @sdsupratt

      Definitely cut and weld while it is apart and the diff is out. Don’t skip it. The frame needs to be strengthened or it may cripple/tweak frame. If you can’t weld don’t do it. Leave it up to someone with the skills and know how. Ur truck is essentially “totaled” once the frame is cut and your insurance knows lol. Just don’t tell them. The front diff will need cutting and grinding. Frame needs cutting and plate welded in. It’s not as fun and easy as some people make it out to be. I’d let someone do it for me the next time around.

    • @evanpugh7599

      I’m running a 33x12.50 on a leveled Tahoe idk who told you you can’t put 35’s on a level not everyone wants a 6in on 35’s with shit tons of wheel gap seen plenty of people run the 4inch fine with low offset minimal trimming

    • @sdsupratt
      @sdsupratt 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had 35s on 22x12 wheels and with 6.5” lift it rubbed like hell. Had to cut and pound and it still rubbed. If you don’t mind having ur wheels be inside the fender then it could happen. But not if you like some offset… just depends on the look you want I guess. I went big and for what I wanted cuz if I went conservative I knew I would have regretted it. I love the way it looked. And it was worth it

    Plastic spacers for the CV axels? 🤔 for that much money. Nothing should be plastic in that kit!
    Does GM know that the undercoating is flammable? Lol that doesn’t seam too smart! If anything it should be flame resistant. But I’m no engineer or anything.
    There’s a lot of cutting for $1200 and it’s only 4” of lift.
    But the truck does look good after all that.

    • @bac4998
      @bac4998 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Francisco Quintero “But I’m no engineer or anything.” Obviously. There any many different types of industrial plastics. They are used a lot more applications than you may think. They have extremely high impact ratings, high tensile strengths, chemical and corrosion resistance , salt water and moisture resistance, high energy absorption, and abrasion resistance. The list goes on and on. Research some of it before having such a solid opinion and dismissing something you know nothing about.
      Polyethylene, Polyphenylene, Polycarbonate, Diallyliosphthalate, polystyrene, etc. etc.

    • @frankyq21
      @frankyq21 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      BAC - actually I am an engineer. Been working in the aerospace industry for the past three years. My comment “but I’m no engineer or anything” was sarcasm. Sorry I didn’t make that clear for those who cared to read my comment.
      I’m sure there are plenty of different types of plastics that would be sufficient to cover the minimum requirements for the application. But in my opinion there is no plastic that would be a better substitute for an actual metal spacer. Solid billet aluminum. Stainless steel, titanium, inconel. I can understand if the manufacturer was trying to cut production cost but for as much as they are charging for the kit, that doesn’t add up for me.
      Maybe before assuming some one doesn’t know what they are talking about try letting some ones opinion no affect you so much.
      If you like the kit. Go ahead and get one. More power to you.
