After verification (taking ID photo, sign, bring supporting docs) in person, I waited for less than 2 weeks to collect the card. I made sure I completed every docs possible so there's no back & forth, plus covid was not really the worst back then so it was not delayed from their end.

hello! yes, actually. I even had to find the flight booking in 2015 (the day I left HK), and another flight in 2016 (when I'm back again) - only the date though, and you need to fill it on the form (no need proof or anything). and then you can write what's the purpose/reason, why it's > 6 months. for my case since it's for student exchange program in Uni, they asked for a supporting document, which is my uni transcript that states my exchange program period.
One more benefit to having a HKID permament ID card, you can visit Macau for a whole year. You do not need to bring your Indonesia passport to visit there.

Hi, I don't think it's allowed. In the application form you have to write down the dates of your first arrival and give some proofs too (if needed), to state that it's been 7 continuous year.

sorry i don’t really understand what you meant. To get PR in hong kong: stay for 7 years -> then apply. If you are already in hong kong and then need to leave, you cannot be OUT of hong kong for MORE THAN 6 months, otherwise it will be counted from day 1 again.

7 yrs consecutively since the moment you entered hk. required docs are on the website of HK immigration
