Gents, great video and probably better than the HSG from three years ago. Heck, Canadian YT content too! Was a real knuckle bighter 16:37 when I saw you close the case with the reverse lockout cam in there - was thinking WTF? Anyway, you included a reprisal on the blunder - good job!

Nice work, I have a question regarding on the shifter links etc, did you also swap the crv to link from 6 speed or used the crv same one? Also can I use any petrol honda 6speed or must be k type r 2.0?
Does the 6th selector fit one way or it doesn’t matter? I just did another conversion and my 6th pops out under load. The syncro is fine, not sure if selector is bad or what.

Guys how much would you charge for a transmission lie your to be done again
Everything was going good until you put loctite on that I put shaft nut.
If and when that thing comes back apart, the head will probably strip out or shear off leaving the threads in the shaft.
Hopefully you guys get away with it. But for next time, just torque it down and call it good.
Dumb question..How can I install this in my mr2 and make it awd rear engine?
It this gearbox from the crv will fit for k24a3 ?
does the 8th gen accord 6 speed fit crv gen2?
3-4 are used for 5 speed , there is one for 6 speed.
Why didn’t you just swap the complete gear sets over?
The gear ratios are not the same, the crv one is more optimal for what were trying to accomplish
@@KSSRacing I know the gearing is definitely different. Which set is better for NA set up.
@@aaronsargeant7810 for NA applications you’d definitely want the 6 speed, it has closer ratios
@@KSSRacing no I’m asking, the crv gear set or the type s or whatever gear set you took the 6th from. Couldn’t you literally just swap the entire gear sets instead of removing and pressing anything? Do you understand my question?
Oh I see so the type s would be ideal? If you were going NA then you could just swap everything over?

omg useing coin to lock it why not just shift all the forks downwords this way all the gears with bind in place thats now u need to do it
Can u use a lsd from a six speed gearbox to the crv gearbox?
If you’re gonna use the transmission for FWD it’s compatible, but if used for AWD it’ll need to be machined

You should have took the shims out from under the input shaft, the 6 speed doesnt use shims
I think I noticed that...the input 6th gear seemed awfully close to the output shafts bearing, 15:42 in fact almost too close. Hopefully when loaded the helix gearing will thrust some separation. This is why you have to check the thrust clearances on both shafts per the FSM procedure. They didn't do that (and neither did Honda Street Garage).
I put my k20a2 gear stacks in awd tras the first gear is right on the diff bolts it spins ,but is worrying me that haven't put case on
Pardon the ignorance, could you just swap out the main and counter shaft from the diner trans to the crv trans? And reuse the shift mechanisms from the donor?

Can the gear be from any 6 speed manual honda transmission or does have to be from the csx tranny??
Yeah basically any k series 6 speed manual Honda, I know 100% that people use the 6th gear from tsx, rsx type s, csx type s

@@KSSRacing Can also use a donor 6-speed transmission from an 06 or later Civic Si (or SiR Canadian).

This is precisely why you shouldn't film things for views especially when you have no clue. you guys never opened a k series transmission before, and you guys thought let me film my first time as a tutorial. All your doing is confusing people and potentially setting people up to damage their prized possessions. you called six gear sleeve a selector ring -_______-
