AWD Acura RSX Conversion - Bolt on AWD Setup using Factory Honda Parts! (Turbo K-series) - Ep.7

The AWD conversion on our 2004 Acura RSX is almost complete!! Next episode we’ll wrap up the conversion and see what this AWD is all about!

02-04 AWD CRV k-series Trans w/transfer case
02-04 CRV Front subframe
89-91 Civic wagon rt4wd driveshaft, viscous, rear diff
2 long wagon axles (driveshaft shop)
1310 u-joints
CRV trailing arms/knuckle hub assembly
K-tuned RSX spherical LCA
hub city performance rear diff mount kit
Crv rear brakes/caliper brackets with RSX calipers

Nice build. I have had issues with that style oil baffle. Definitely watch your oil pressure. I thought it was maybe a connector issue until I tore my engine apart this last fall.

Not a Honda fan at all... however I'm secure enough in my Toyota loyalty to say Honda does make excellent vehicles. Probably 2nd best in the world 😅 but this conversion is so cool and such a clean, professional build. Excellent work, top notch in every way and I'll bet this car is such a blast to drive with AWD.

I've wanted to do a similar AWD RSX conversion, but using the manual 6 speed SH-AWD transmission from the Acura TL combined with a K23 engine from an RDX. Since the K23 block has a modified casting so that it bolts up to the same automatic transmission as the V6 engine, it should (in theory) bolt up to the manual SH-AWD that came on the V6 Acura TL for a couple of years. In theory, you can also bolt any of the K20 heads onto the K23 block, so you could put on a Civic Type-R cylinder head if you wanted to up the power. I never had the time or money to actually try to get it working though, and now I rarely see any RSXs for sale.

Not much going through it, power delivery to rear wheels is only 30-40% depends on what viscosity fluid you using in your viscous coupler. So if you are running 1000hp it handles 300-400hp.

this is wagon differential and driveshaft. its just the crv subframe and rear control arms because it bolts right up to rsx
