Hi im from India, im searching for a High quality protein who doesn't bother about taste. i planned to buy transparent labs whey after watching your video but unfortunately this brand is not available in India. So i decided to buy "my protein impact whey" unflavored, the ingredients has whey and soy lecithin. My doubt is, does soy lechithin is good or bad to consume? And would you recommend "my protein" brand?
Yes, MyProtein is a good grand. Soy lecithin increases mixability and reduces clumping. A side effect of including lecithin in a protein powder is that it can add some thickness to the powder’s consistency. So it's only a problem if you don't like "thick" protein shakes. Soy lecithin is also a non-nutritive additions, meaning it doesn't provide any calories.
@@karthikeyanpnr1091 I'm not a doctor, so you should consult a medical professional if you're concerned with side effects. But if you haven't got any reactions to soy products in the past, then you should be okay (I'm not prescribing or diagnosing though).
First, MyProtein advertises their protein content on an "as is" basis, not as dry weight. Second, they are not transparent about their protein content claims. Ask them if they test their protein content and if they can share the results with you-see how they respond. In my experience, they gave excuses. Always check the source of their protein and whether they have independent lab testing!
The 97% is for the unflavored option. But just to be clear, 88% is still AWESOME. Anything above 85% is considered a great option. Believe it or not, many whey proteins actually fall below this.

There's not a single protein powder that is 100% protein. That's because whey protein comes from the byproduct of the cheese-making process, and there are still leftover carbs and fats from that process (albeit, minimal). There are two types of whey: Concentrate: the more affordable and less processed variety, consisting of approximately 80% protein. Isolate: the more expensive and refined product, composed of 90+% protein. Also, a few calories are added when you flavor the product. So it's never going to be 100%. With that context in mind, MyProtein ranges from 89%-97.7% depending on the flavor. This is considered VERY high for whey protein. Our criteria for assessing protein is the following: Acceptable protein percentage: 65-74% Good protein percentage: 75-84% Excellent protein percentage: >85%
