Jeremy's reaction seeing his friends join him and then James and Richards smiles to Jeremy made me tear up and cry and also just everything about this first episode intro was amazing. Good job Amazon
This opening always made me cry. The friendship between these three were so precious that they became the real reason why Top Gear was the best show .... in the world. When James and Hammond would left BBC to follow Clarkson, it was a beginning of the end for TG, nothing will ever be the same anymore. The three would go on a new adventure. They would call it......The Grand Tour!!!
Yo are u a time traveller everybody's feed on almost every social media platform has been spammed with family for the past month kinda died out now but still on my feed
Had to come back to this after watching the trailer for the final journey that this trio will ever be a part of. “One for the road”. You three were a massive influence on my love for cars during my childhood, my teens and now into my late 30’s. You guys will truly be missed!
It's 2020 and this intro is still better than anything Top Gear has done since Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond left. I agree with many that have said it, that two minute mark still gets me every time.
Came here after watching the trailer for "One for the Road"..... They restarted their trio dynamic like this with a huge bang then they're finally going to end it in the most solemn of notes. Truly wonderful...... The lunacy of these trio ever since Top Gear helped me go through the gritty reality, which I believe holds true for most viewers who had these shows way back in their childhood years. We'll miss you, fine gentlemen......
i'm not into comedy shows and i never laughed at any american late night joke i hear, but watching these 3 men joking around genuinely makes me smile and snicker at times, which i do hope says something. seeing the last scene of the final episode actually made me feel some genuine sadness i hadn't in quite sometime. the trio are like a lightning in a bottle as i remember some of their funny moments like jeremy saying jaggg, hammond's quick witty remarks, and james not believing in electricity. thank you to the 3 men who brought us top gear, the grand tour, and childish banters. cheers to the best comedy trio....in the world.
Personally I think they are better on Amazon they have the freedom to make jokes they don’t have to censor themselves because the the BBC’s ridiculous political correctness
@@Dave534 And on top of that, they were willing to give The Grand Tour as big of a budget as it needed to not only rope in the guys' loyal fans, but also rival the hust of what TG had become in their absence. I mean, look at this, how much do you think it cost to make?
Looking back from a nostalgic POV I wished the trio was still on BBC but I respect Amazon on the fact that they really appreciate the talent Clarkson Hammond and May bring to the table unlike BBC
3 middle age old farts yet the were childhood old farts and will always make me laugh till the end of time. Peaple don't understand the bond as kids with Hammond running a science show along other show's aswel you just can't get the bond with 3 new guys it's just not the same but that's me I respect those who wana move on with latest top gear aka shit gear but that's personal preference because these 3 farts were our childhood
When Hammond & May turn up behind Clarkson & Clarkson's face literally beams with happiness is one of the best moments ever seen on television. U just know that's true friendship right there
I must say the editing on this intro was spot-on. My favourite part of that is the line "Here is the rainbow I've been praying for", right over the top of the three presenters in the three different coloured cars.
The moment they pull next to him in the Mustangs makes my eyes tear up. It is like they are saying to him "Where ever you go we will follow, we are loyal friends, we are behind you and by your side" I love this trio
Not only did James and Richard quit the BBC and follow Jeremy, but also most of the production team. I love that. This scene put tears in my eyes. I remember watching the first episode and I got emotional. My girlfriend at the time asked me why I was emotional and I told her I had watched these 3 men do their show(s) ever since I was a kid. I had grown up on Top Gear, Manlab, Brainiac, Engineering connections, James May's 20th century, Oz and James big wine adventure 1 & 2 and Jeremy Clarkson's Motorworld, Car years, Inventions that changed the world. Everything these 3 men touch, turns into gold.
When I watched this for the first time, I had a big smile on my face. There was nothing like seeing my favorite TV trio with 3 patriotic Mustangs (since the Mustangs here have the American flag colors). That moment at 2:04 after Clarkson smiles seeing Hammond and May where we see an overhead shot of all the Mustangs is one of the coolest on television.

Yes but that has been declining in recent games
If only horizon would be real..

This need more likes.
@@DexxonGamer77 I agree
Epic.. Never has a world looked forward to the return of 3 people so much.
Thank your for all the great memories Jeremy, At TG and GT.
The BBC disliked the video...
All 2 people who work there
*NEWS FLASH BBC SHUTS DOWN BECAUSE THEY WENT BANKRUPT WHEN THE TOP GEAR BOYS LEFT*
Sarcastic Asshole unfortunately that will never happen they are funded by the tax payer and they constantly harass people who don’t use their services into paying for them

@@Dave534 Hi. But at the end of the day, The new top gear in my opinion is a failure. It doesn't have that excitement and joy the previous seasons of top gear had. But what can you expect from the bbc who had to find replacements. The replacements are uninspiring. The show would of stood a better chance of ratings if they got Rowan Atkinson to be a presenter.
They would call it......The Grand Tour!!!
funnily enough, GT backwards is TG
2:00 shows the meaning of family better than all the F&F movies combined
Dom torreto is that you?
Yo are u a time traveller everybody's feed on almost every social media platform has been spammed with family for the past month kinda died out now but still on my feed
That moment when Hammond and May appear from behind Clarkson in their cars just after Clarkson smiles at 2:03 is pure gold!!!
Had to come back to this after watching the trailer for the final journey that this trio will ever be a part of. “One for the road”.
You three were a massive influence on my love for cars during my childhood, my teens and now into my late 30’s. You guys will truly be missed!
2:02 - 2:14 the only time we will see this three guys show their true friendship to us.
The song choice for this was perfect. Suits it so well.
Definitely, anything is improved if hothouse flowers are in it :)
One of the rare songs that are better than the original.
This scene actually brought a tear to my eye the first time I saw it… Oh heck, who am I kidding? It still brings a tear to my eye!
I´m 30 years old, I have been watching them for 22 years and i know that one thing is certain... I will be watching them three for the rest of my life
8 years from now, feels like 8 minutes... immensely sad. Thank you guys for the unforgettable memories...
Perfect beginning and it ended perfectly, as well. Thank you, Grand Tour.
From grey misery to bright, colourful happiness! What a grand opening to The Grand Tour!
Still miss the moments that they went through on TG but they're still the best of the best!
I'm so glad Amazon went on the right direction!!
Now it's over again
Rip GRAND TOUR
Rip the rent and the audience
CAI WILKIE hopefully it will just be for one season before they realise their mistake and bring back the tent
Looking back from a nostalgic POV I wished the trio was still on BBC but I respect Amazon on the fact that they really appreciate the talent Clarkson Hammond and May bring to the table unlike BBC
Here after the trailer for the final special dropped
7 years on... We were lucky and honoured to live in this era. Thank you for everything you did... And yes James, you brought us lots of happiness
2:02 when your buddies got yo back
Just finished watch ''One For The Road'' and now combing through youtube to just watch all their great episode moments. Thanks, Lads!!
Thanks for 22 years legends!
you can tell from this opening these three really do have a friendship and a bond that cannot be explained.
Probably the greatest opening I've ever seen in my life
i am going to miss you guys, thank you for 20 years of pure british comedy and entertainment
The moment they pull next to him in the Mustangs makes my eyes tear up. It is like they are saying to him "Where ever you go we will follow, we are loyal friends, we are behind you and by your side" I love this trio
thank you gents for the amazing laughs and adventures you brought us. God Speed.
I was there - couldn't see Richard Hammond from the back row.
Lol hahaha that's cool that you were there
You are legendary
After seeing One for the Road this hits real hard
The Grand Tour started in a desert with an iconic opening. And ended in a desert with an equally momentous ending. Thanks for the many many memories.
The best cold opening of any television show...ever. Chills.
The start and the end one for the road 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭
Who's here after watching the final episode?
What an Adventure it has been.
So Long Guys
returning back to watch this after years. still bring tears. greatest trio of all times
I didn't feel like going to work today in the morning. Then this came on youtube. Ended up going with a smile, it's going to be a bright sun shiny day
The transition intro from BBC to Amazon productions, they absolutely nailed it, just epic.
Can't stop replaying this video man. Been years
You know you are a true petrol head if you get goosebumps at 2:04 and 2:57
