    I think a few of them need to read the 2nd Amendment and it's history.
    Criminals don't follow any laws.

      The 2A was passed so local governments can raise militias to protect property from us peasants who constantly rioted at every tax. It never gave us gun rights

      I own quite a few guns. Generational country family. I believe in the right to bear arms. But don’t tinge it with blind obtuseness. We have modified what. Is legal to sell and own in firearms almost as long as we’ve been a country. We don’t allow sawed off shotguns, grenades, automatic weapons, RPG’s, etc…the list is pretty long and the reasons for restrictions are GOOD. Mostly because they are too uncontrolled and can cause innocents to be harmed. Or can kill too many people too quickly. To allow in the hands of of a non expert in civilian situations. Solid reasoning. Modern semi auto rifles have joined this club, especially with high capacity magazines. This ability can’t be in the hands of anyone that hasn’t been seriously vetted. We need to think rationally about this. We Don’t need high cap mags for sport or self defense in civilian situations. Aimed shots, hit what you aim at, damn it. Make the nutcase reload, maybe give someone a chance to take him down. I think this is a fairly simple and rational response to our big problem with mass shootings. There are other reforms that don’t involve radical solutions but the gun nuts, and I suspect, the gun manufacturers, block ANY attempt at reform, no matter how rational or small.

      @@Tom.788 the 2nd amendment is there to fight against tyranny.Which we have now. There has always been gun laws added more and more till they completely do away with firearms. Should the American people be able to own fully automatic absolutely. Criminals don’t follow laws. It’s all about complete control

    The shooter had been charged with terroristic threatening in February 2024 for threatening to kill someone with a gun. The charges were later dropped. They shouldn't have been dropped and shouldn't have been able to purchase a firearm.

    All I am goingto say is I live close enough to where this happened that I can see the helicopters flying back and forth.Once again he had priors and red flags. The gun did not do it.The person behind the gun did, and if more attention was paid to his prior terroristic threatening and menacing, this wouldn't of happened.Oh yeah,also his comments days before.

    Again people are talking about something they don't understand. We're not talking about the visual effects of an AR 15 because they could be painted pink with flowers on them if that would make you feel better. They operate exactly, I said exactly the same way a semi automatic hunting rifle works and they shoot in many cases exactly the same ammunition. People have been taught to believe that because it looks "scary"somehow it's more effective than anything else you could buy. These are some of the dumbest people including the news media. If all of the parts were laid out in front of someone without the scary looking stock etc. you couldn't tell what gun did what or even why they differ in operation which they don't. Don't believe me, research it on your own go ask someone who actually knows something about guns and how they operate.

    • @blackwind743
      @blackwind743 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In fact the .223/5.56 mm round that is most common in AR-15 platform weapons is illegal to hunt deer with in many areas not because it "destroys the meat" but because it does not end the deer and only makes it suffer. The U.S. military is currently in the process of replacing this round because it is not lethal enough and most hunting rifles are far more powerful. The campaign to ban these weapons is a campaign to enact thought crimes with a sprinkle of boiling the frog of gun confiscation by going after what they think is low hanging fruit and it's being funded by billionaire money with ties to foreign powers who don't want Americans to have free speech or the right to bear arms because of the example we set to their people. Of course this is not the only motivation and some of the motivations are even more dangerous.

      Shortbarreled shotguns are legal
      Gernades are legal
      Full auto machine guns are legal
      RPG’s are legal
      40mm grenade launcher are legal.
      They are just highly regulated.
      You can buy m203 grenade launcher and 40mm grenades but you have to fill out an atf form 1 or 4 and pay 200 dollar tax stamp.
      You really have no idea what you are talking about
