LOL I went wild with the polo this time instead
I found an abandoned Callaway Superfast on the course about a week ago and decided to hit it on the next tee. That ball flew a ****ing mile. It landed in the middle of the fairway but it took me forever to find. Not just because it was about 30 yards further forward than I expected it to be but because the red is IMPOSSBRU to see. Great ball don’t do the red.

I'm always excited to see other people loving the Zips. I didn't get a shout out but I don't think anyone was talking about zips before me. I suggested it back in July of 2021 on the What's to Come Video and then again on the Wilson Staff Model R video. Everyone use to tease me about using a Wilson ball and now everyone that follows the channel loves them. I'm stoked to see how much your channel has grown in the last few years and that it appears to be including golf tech too. (I tagged you in a takamo post a couple years ago and told them they should send you stuff to test but I don't think they ever did.) I think in a couple of years, you'll probably be able to get irons and drivers to test on the channel for free. We are all pulling for you keep up the great work!

I can't wait to start testing other ventures. I wish that the club testing would have worked out from a couple years ago but it just didn't mesh with the time unfortunately. What's weird is I'm still having trouble even getting golf ball companies to send me stuff. You would think they'd want the free advertising

But when I splurge it's definitely for the Vice Pro, drip version, which now I need to check my local Walmart for that price.

Discovered your channel a couple of years ago. Useful information for the most part while also entertaining. Believe it was thru your channel that I became acquainted with Vice and motivated me to try. All I play anymore is the Vice Pro and Vice Pro Soft. As you know they are slightly different but not sure which I like the best. What has really sealed the deal for me is that I live in the greater Orlando area and last December, one of the local Sam Club's had the 2019 Vice Pro 24 pack on sale for $28. At $14/dz, nothing is even close to the value and performance of this ball. Thanks for the time and effort you put into your videos.

If you decide to go full in on a golf ball then I can understand buying a cube. But if you're just wanting to try it out it sucks to have to spend that much money

I started using the Wilson's zip Per your recommendation and I love it. The only thing is I went to get at Walmart last week the price went up to 39.95 . So I looked them up on line Target sales them at 29.95 . I have been so impressed with this ball it holds the greens for me good distance On my drives and second shoot . I do hope they keep making it. GREAT CHANNEL 🎉

Saw the Zips at Walmart the other day and they were $30 in the St. Louis area. And I scooped up some on Amazon for $25 before they went to $30 a few days ago.
Great video! Since I loose a lot of golf balls I bought some Ram Laser Spin. They were 36 for $30 and I’m getting pretty good distance on them. They are low compression which is good for me since I’ve only been golfing about a year. I’ll try the Wilson Zip and a couple other recommendations to see how I like them.
I will have to look into these golf balls and see if they are worth reviewing. I have not heard of them so far so thanks for the heads up
So I start my season today in RI with Wilson Zip, Snell Getsum and Pinnacle Extreme in the bag. As a 73 year old with a 75 swing speed, hoping for interesting results with the different compressions. Thanks again,

I game the qstar tours. Love em for my game. Divide is fun seeing them spin in the air. I also game the vice pro but liken spending less on the qstar tours

Hi Nik. Really great guide for all golfers! Unfortunately not all top notch golf balls are available in Europe, I'd love to test the Sugar G1 myself. One major Ball I'm missing out though or I'm not able to find the review for, which is broadly considered one of the best 2P balls on the market: the Srixon AD333. Srixon just recently brought out it's 11th generation.
I will get that tested then. Sometimes I forget that Europe doesn't have as many options
Great ending to a great series. I knew the ZIP would be up there, but it may have been discontinued. I don’t see it on Wilson’s website but it’s still sold on amazon.
Saw it on the Wilson website yesterday. Their website is kind of a mess. And Zips are now $30. Still a steal, obviously.
Thanks for the shout out on the Callaway Superfast. I knew it had really tested well for you and you seemed to frequently forget about it or overlook it. Ironically, I overlook and forget about it too. I have a lot of boxes of full dozens and partial dozens in my basement and I have never purchased the Callaway Superfast. Lately, I got seduced by blowout pricing on Titleist TruFeel and Velocity dozens at Walmart a couple of months ago for $8.50 and $9.50. Who passes on that? Maybe someday I will find a like new, pearl condition Superfast and give it a thorough testing! I think I missed where the Cut Red finished? Was I dozing off during this video? I don’t remember seeing it in the 19-11 video, but it has been a while since I watched that one. You really made us wait for this 10 - #1 video, but it was worth the wait. Hi Nick, woke up here in Thailand, kettle on for a cup of tea, turned the phone on and sat down . Looked at the phone and here it is, the top 10. Happy to see the Inesis at number 9, without your tests, many people would still not know about this ball. Some of the big boys are there, Callaway, Wilson , mixed with some lesser known brands. Sugar golf ball at number 1,WOW. I did not see that coming, congratulations to them. This year will be very interesting for your reviews. The larger your community grows, the more interesting the reviews will become. Thanks for all the hard work you put in to do these reviews. Three of my favorites hit the top 10, Vice Pro, Laddie, and Zip. So we agree on a lot, just not #1!
Mmm, Sugar G1 comes out as "terrible" for compression consistency in the MGS review. Coupled with the fact that you can only buy in cubes and they are £3 a ball in the UK and I'm out. I'll stick with my Zips in winter and Wilson staff in summer. Both excellent balls from Wilson. I play their irons and they are also excellent. The sugar ball is made by Launch Tech in Taiwan by the way who make quite a few dtc balls. Not quite on par with some of the other ball manufacturers imo. I guess the numbers are the numbers but I'd be concerned about consistency which is not an issue with the Wilson balls.
I bought the zips and lost 10-15 yards a club. Very bizarre experience. Great putting line.

Just found your channel and really appreciate all the work and real world testing. As someone who swings a bit faster, would the Sugar still be a good fit for me to try? Or would I be better off with like a Snell or Vice? (Driver cruises around 105mph)
have you tried the trust ball? i played it a few years ago and liked the looks but that was about it. i did the aurora blue and it was very pretty but the paint came off every hit.
I have a couple of those golf balls ready for testing. Not sure when they come out, I haven't had too many requests to do them but it's definitely on the list
Great golf ball list...very interesting. I've played the Callaway Chrome Soft and Srixon Q Star Tour recently but I keep going back to the Bridgestone E12 Contact which did TERRIBLE in your review. Not sure if it's because I use game improvement irons and driver (Srixon ZX4's and Callaway Paradym X) but I score 5-6 stroke better with the E12. Going to order the Wilson Zip that #2 on your list and give them a try. THANKS!!
Please let me know how you like them. I also use game improvement irons and I have the same results. Sometimes it also just depends on your swing. Please let me know how you like the zips though

Additionally thank you for not rolling over and buying into the Titleist hype…their products have great consistency but so many ‘sheep’ are lazy and don’t bother checking out other products. I have been a Wilson fan and glad you recognized their complete line. I think I need to give Vice a try? As far as your #1….buying a pod of golf balls is a no go for me. Keep up the good work.

I've used the Wilson Zip for years, it is my go to ball after the weather turns colder. Several pro-level players use this ball for practice due to the similar feel to the Pro V1.
It's an amazing ball. I hope they continue to make it
I am a golf ball addict and play the Brigstone Tour BX. For me it is the longest and straightest ball. Will all other balls I loose 2-3 per round. With this Brigstone box I loose 1 ball every 2 rounds. I can find them for $35/box so a great value for me. My swing speed is only 90 but best performance from a tour level ball.

So how much do you think these numbers would change for a fast swing golfer? If i actually catch the center of the face I can get close to 300y with the driver. I also don't play that often so tend to lose a lot and like the $1/ball price point. Awesome video! Just ordered the zip to try out.
It depends on your swing speed. It sounds like you could be in the 110 mph range. That would drastically change how the numbers affect with each golf ball. You definitely want something a little firmer.
Wilson triad has been the ball that's impressed me the most. I like it more than the TP5X, Kirkland, Legato, etc. Feels just like a prov1

😢Loved the series Nick but the Sugar ball works out at nearly $3 a ball here in the UK where as the Zip is only a £1 a ball so no contest if I use a ball that has cost me more than a pound I just get nervous
Nothing wrong with being the number two spot on a list of 100. Nothing wrong with continuing to play the zip as long as they keep shipping it out LOL
Different types of ball though. You can't really compare an ionomer ball to a urethane cover. I play the zip in winter and a urethane ball in the summer when I need more spin
Do you have a 1 stop shop where i can look up what i need in a ball? as much as i would love to watch every single review you do, it'd be nice to look up on an excel sheet a ball, and see how it performed compared to others. Kind of like Vice Ball fitting.
I won't do anything like that just because it hinders my views. If people can just look at those documents they have no reason to watch my videos. Which would put me out of business pretty quick.
However, I do keep a website that has my top 100 ranked golf balls. Maybe something like that will help you. On my most recent review, the Callaway warbird, the link for that is in the description. I don't have it on me otherwise I would give it to you.

Just bought some Wilson zip balls to try out. I’m a little worried about the spin and the ball checking on the green. Can anyone attest to how it performs hitting the green and for green side chipping?
Honestly it's not as big of the deals people make it anymore. The technology has increased so much that even two-piece golf balls are spending pretty close to others. The urethane coating will definitely be a learning curve but you still shouldn't have many issues
What are your thoughts on the Vice Golf Pro Air golf balls?
I ordered the entire new vice line about a week ago. As soon as they come in we'll have a nice week 2.0

Actually it's really surprising you mentioned that, I just got done with a round where I played it exclusively the whole round.
I do have a full review on it if you want to check it out, it's definitely for the advanced player. I struggled with forgiveness at times and the ball spun way too much left to right. However I had zero problems with distance and compression on smooth hits. I actually really love the feel of it a lot and I'm becoming a bigger and bigger srixon fan by the day

Everyone really loves it. One of my favorites
Sugar was the first DTC that I tried and I used it through 2 cubes, then I moved on to OnCore ELIXR but suddenly the covers were getting too many smiley faces. When Sugar Pure came out I got a cube and really liked them but then Academy Sports advertised Sugar G1’s at $39.99 / cube, so I bought 2 and that’s the ball I’ll use this year.
That's a really amazing price for that many golf balls.

Definitely worth a shot but keep in mind that this zip is a little harder to get now. There's a chance they might be discontinuing it but I don't know for sure.
This is a lot to ask, but any chance you can publish the Top 100 in text format? It would make it a lot easier to reference vs going through 10 videos trying to remember the balls I find on the course or see a sale on.

Did I hear you say that you store golf balls in the garage? My understanding is that there are temperature issues, both hot and cold, with garage storage. But anyhooo, GREAT SERIES 😊😊😊
You are not wrong, extreme temperatures will mess with a golf balls compression. In Florida it's not a huge issue though

Was bit surprised that Inesis Tour 900 is your top 10 but not too surprised ($29 in Thailand Decathlon including VAT). Inesis Soft 500 ($15/dozen with 4-5 color options) performs really well for the price too. It's a surlyn cover so cannot expect super zip with wedges but you should review next time. It may be close to Laddie Extreme.
I definitely want to try all of the inesis balls. Just haven't gotten to yet

Because hardly any people know about them. Because they are a Walmart golf ball the majority of people view them as being inferior and never even pick them up.
Let me give you a prime example. Since doing my Wilson zip review 3 years ago. I have had around 50 to 60 people either comment or direct message me to let me know that based on my review they started playing it and now it's their go-to gamer ball.
It's the same thing I mentioned in my overrated video.Majority of players are playing what marketing tells them to play, that's why my channel exists.
Normally play Q-Start Tours, but I bought some Zips to see how it goes.

cut red works for me/ bought the snells get some haven't hitem yet
also you hit your 7 iron about as far as i hit my 6 hybrid- but my driver is out there- 290 ish/105-108 club head speed so its kinda hard to judge which balls might be best for me. In the past bridgestone tour 330 and pro v1 s went the farthest but im a lot older now so Im not as good/ plus I love the softer feel and the chrome soft is probably the best fit for me but I dont want to spend that much.

Video request. A review video with all 100 golf balls. Quick spreadsheet screenshots of 100-90, 90-80 etc with their rankings and $/ball (links to previous videos to get clicks up?). Would be an awesome reference video to go back to multiple times as golf ball sales show up. The MTB Prime X is at a very good price right but I cannot remember which video it's in.
I'm not quite sure if I'm going to do that yet or not. As far as if you're looking for a specific video, just go to my channel and in the search bar you can search for whatever ball you are looking for and it will come up.
Also side note, i was checking stats of my Srixon softfeel in a previous video compared to Sugar...and Softfeel was basic even with it in a lot of ways and better in others, so what made you Sugar number 1 and Srixon softfeel not top 10?
The numbers with the srixon soft feel were good. However my numbers with the sugar golf ball were outstanding.. this with an amazing design, value, and durability test and that's what propelled it to number one

I don't know how that money translates to dollars. So I don't know if that's more expensive or not. Honestly I'm not sure what factory they come out I might have to look into it.

I watch your videos despite being a fair bit faster with the driver ~100 MPH. I will tell you that the Chrome Soft and the Vice Pro live up to the hype for faster swings as well.

@@GolfBallAddict I’ve also heard that Maxfli is redesigning the Tour S, which may be of serious interest going forward. I will absolutely game the Tour and Tour X now (temperature dependent, I live in Ohio).

About 15 years ago I used Precept Lady ball and it performed as well as a Pro V1 for me. Took grief from friends but at a quarter of the cost and still getting distance off tee, they were a no trainer. I'm 70 now with 105-110 ball speed 7 iron on top tracer and 130-140 ball speed driver what would you recommend? Also used to use Wilson Smartcores. Am using Maxfli Trifli now and use get pretty good spin on approach shots to greens, stop close to ball mark.

I guess I have to burst your bubble, as I absolutely loathed the two dozen Wilson Zip balls I purchased. They were the spinniest things off the driver I've played yet. I wanted to like them, but I absolutely do not.

@@GolfBallAddict I mean I'm obviously in the minority. They really are rated well for those who swing closer to average for sure. I've been compressing the ball a lot better as of late, so these balloon suuuuuuper high for me due to being "zero compression". The Kirklands are what I've been using, but even those are starting to spin too much for me. Time to get some rocks to smack around and cry every time I thin one! 🤣🤣
