It was a persimmon, not a pepper. Anyways, loved this - usually hate the end of summer, but getting into fall this year.

I came here to say the same, but I don't fault her at all because of the persimmon's shape. Unless there are persimmons shaped like that, then well, I haven't encountered one. Love her content ❤
I can't even tell you how refreshing this decor is. I'm so sick of all the TH-camrs that go to Hobby Lobby and Target and buy all the plastics and jam them into fake antique pots everywhere. So over it and it costs a fortune. I think the pear tree and the painted leaves are pure genius, the table scape is incredibly beautiful!!!
I also think the wooden balls were prettier before sanding. Your scene turned out beautifully. I'm inspired to look
for some leaves to paint as I could use a few more for MY home.

You're so right about prices at thrift stores. They get most items for free they price them bearly under full price from retail. Many times I've come across Dollar Tree items selling for more than what they were brand new.😢
I definitely agree about the prices of thrift stores lately. Two of ours have been filling dumpsters with free stuff being ruined due to being left outside in the elements at their drop-off door because they have no room to bring it in because there prices have gotten so high they arent selling as quickly. Most stuff sticks around until it goes on sale. The amount of beautiful furniture I've seen go in that dumpster from rain damage 😢 and if I come across something second hand from Dollar Tree for more than it originally cost one more time, then Im gonna scream!

Love this video! Fall is my time of year. You are so patient, painting leaves. I would not have sanded the balls, the design was interesting. They may be gourds. Always interesting , so creative and fun in your weirdly wonderful way.

They were some sort of seed pod or gourd. And the design was hand done art. Prolly shouldn't've altered them. Mistakes happen. The leafs with paint were a success as were the pears. Danie IS so patient! I'd've spray painted them and not got such interesting FX.
I'm with you on the balls -- and there's the extra benefit that Geoff wouldn't have thought they looked like potatoes! But I loved all the rest of what she created.
I would not have sanded them, the designs on them were neat. Great fall projects. shivering black bell thumbs up.
I like that you kept it natural colors, with yellows and golds. I dislike fake orange colors they seem to put on everything. I love the pear tree branches I’ve never seen that before . You didn’t overdue it. You had a plan and implemented it marvelously.

I agree these thrift stores are going nuts with the prices. Through the years I have donated so much and now I think twice before I donate. I would rather give it to someone who needs it.

I picked up a tan/purply brow vase, added tan and red brown and greenish dried stuff. I like it a lot. Been YEARS since I made a seasonal thingie, I gave all that stuff to my son for grandkids... like I decorated for him. I enjoy their seasonal displays.
I usually love your work hands down but those wooden balls were just so rich and textured looking as is that I was so disappointed when then went from interesting to bland! I know, I know!! To each their own but golly gee they would’ve made more of a statement as is! Anyone else agree or am I alone in that thought? Danie, truly it looks FABULOUS!!! They are goards ,a vegetable related to pumpkins and squash .The rattling sound is the dried seeds inside. A very autumnal choice bravo!

Hi Danie! I believe those balls are oak galls. Seems we used them in decor (well, me mum did 😉) for fall.

Autumnal goodness includes Danie pumpkin spice not so much. Pumpkins, dried corn 🌽 etc. I’m always with you I boop grab my coffee and settle down because YOU Danie are always inspiring.
I would have bought that blue and white vase SO fast! Haha
One more thing I'd add about thrifting decor - especially with thrift shop prices increasing - if you are trying to dupe or recreate existing items, make sure you consider ALL material costs & that you aren't spending as much (or more) on your dupe as the original item. It's a lot easier to do these type of projects when you already have a decent amount of craft supplies :)
Yes i did have those raisins and i did put them in my mouth! I gasped when you said then and then LOLed with the 'dontchu put it in your mouth' ad. You unlocked such a specific memory! 😂
The music in this is great. I associate this style of music with warmth and comfort and cold temps (you know, all those christmas standards from back in the day! ). Very cozy

Bowl is beautiful. And the holes on either side - I'm wondering if that was for a wicker handle. But it's great just the way it is.
I love the way it came out. I love how the pears, wooden beads, and the eucalyptus leaves are very similar in color and spaced apart. Keeps the eyes moving across the display. I love all the different textures too, makes it more interesting and fun to look at. well done!

So true! With all of us thrifting the stores are raising prices. I am going now dumpster diving or making the rounds when it’s times for what we call in Texas bulk trash. Every month the city allows you to throw away bulky items could be furniture could be Decour could even be clothes, leaves other lawn debris, and find interesting things to pick up.
Yes, I totally agree that thrift store prices are not reasonable for what the item is! I thought I was just being miserly but apparently it's really a thing lol!

I think the wooden balls are actually dry gourds. :) It's typical for some native cultures to carve and paint then and use for decor :)
Why I wouldn't've sanded them, but one can't know all the stuffs.

I liked the natural patterns on the round gourd/seed pods and probably wouldn't have sanded them myself but the chain looks nice. Those "pine cones" are also natural and not carved from wood.

I agree prices are going up unfairly. Especially when the items are donated.
When a price tag is stuck on a hard object, you can use oil to set it free. Spread any oil on the price tag, and let it sit. Some will come off immediately, some need time. It will eventually come off. Then, you will need to wash off the oil.
