can i push this block to 500hp and 400 torq just blow my 10 th gen si engine recently last week after puting big turbo gt 2860r gen 2 on my si ill be puting fuel support or does this thing has warranty ?
@@kg_1720 normal for these engine to blow if abused it too much i am running e50 with walboro and fuel line updgraded. running on garret turbo gt 2860r gen 2 clutch fx400 i think this is the reason why i blow my engine
Why not offer a closed deck version of this or even a deck cap itself for these blocks? The cylinder walls would be able to reliably push well over 400whp.
Eh the sleeves are pretty substantial for what they are. I don’t think I’ve seen one failure related to sleeves, and css warrants blocks up to 600whp on these. I know of One l15 that has made over 600whp lol
There’s a guy using these for airplane conversions, I’d love if he built a motor with this short block. 200kts+ in the right airframe. That’s about 230mph for you car normies.
@@UnrelatedNonsense ah okay, thank you for informing me. So far all I’ve seen is skunk2 camshafts and valve springs on performance site that said it’ll fit my 2022 si but also says it’d work on L15B7 as well.
I think the cause of this issue is short trips with cold oil. You can go to the Honda dealership and they can update the code to get the car to warm ip faster
My question is this. With a fully built motor and trans lets say…….. can you hit the 500+ mark with just fuel and forced induction ? Or do u NEED. E85, meth, and or nitrous ???????
I'm sure it's possible but probably not recommended. Ethanol, meth, and nitrous all help the motor run colder which has many benefits of course. If you were to slap some bolt ons you might end up seeing high 200's low 300's depending on what you go with. With fueling you could definitely get it up there. The reason we hit 500hp on our Si is because we made all sorts of custom parts for it.
@@maperformance No. Apparently I didn’t put it that way))). I’m looking for tightening torques for bolted connections on the L15B7 engine. I will be glad to any working document! Thanks for the answer!

Do you guys know if this block will directly bolt on to the new 11th generation Civic Si L15C vtec head?

This is a great option for reliable power and the stock fuel systems limits, a good sleeper daily
We think so too!
Perfect timing just finished the newest 1.5 Civic video 😅
We thought the same! More 1.5T content on the horizon!
Does upgrading the Rods(Saenz) and Pistons(JE) + Headstuds(ARP) gives me the similar upgrade to changing the whole shortblock?
Besides making more power, Is it more reliable than factory ? 🤯

Will they have the billet oil gear you guys sell as well
Good question
Unfortunately they will not at the benefit of keeping costs for the customer down!
Do you guys build L15's in higher liters? Like a 1.7L-1.9L? And if so do they perform better than the 1.5L
If paired with a stock head do they need to be machined?
Wondering if this is what i need for my 2008 honda fit in future build
That would be an awesome build! Fits are underrated!
Please, do you know where to find the L15B7 engine dimensions and block weights? TIA

Would these work on the 2022 civic si or y’all’s short block.
2022 Si block has wider rod bearings than the 10th Gen si block. I’m not sure if the L15CA head will bolt up to the L15B7 block.

@@ZeldaTheMk6 The skunk 2 cams will not work on the 22 because the L15CA has VTEC on the exhaust cam and the L15B7 does not.
You can put this on a 22 civic si ?

How do you fix the gasoline getting into the oil on the 1.5t ? Is it a part you sell?

Are you guys working on a block for the 11th gen? Just curious
I don't believe so, there isn't much demand for them quite yet.
Whats the thickness of a L15 rod vs a d16 if you know. Im just wondering.
You don't wanna know! L15 rods are pathetic! Look at the 4Piston coverage of it for your answer. I'm too lazy to link it...

No, this is the 10th gen motor!
Guys, have a nice day! I really need a torque specification for the L15B7 engine. I would appreciate any information on this matter.
Are you looking for the power specs? If so, 162 lb-ft (219 Nm) @ 1700-5500 RPM!

So what do you guys think the block that’s within the 10th gen civic can handle from the factory?
We made multiple runs at 550hp with little issue, then it blew up when we put a whole bunch of nitrous through it... 😅
@@maperformance thx ! Honestly I woke atab Honda dealership and this is a sweet deal

Swap would have to be done by you or a local shop!
Do yall offer stronger head gaskets rather than the oem gaskets for the 10th gen si?
Honda oem gaskets are phenomenal. No need to fix what isn’t broken
It's the head bolts that are substandard, the gasket itself is top notch.
ARP head studs should do the trick, head gasket big sex in l15, the bolts don’t sex so much
I nneeeeeddddd ittt
Why was this excluded from sales to California? Lol
Many parts are excluded from CA unfortunately! Some of the strictest emission laws prevent us from shipping there.
3500 bucks for rods and pistons 🤣. What a steal 👏
