      Worth pointing out that the Yam was pretty much bog stock. And sports bikes really are not designed for getting off the line. But the Yam beat the fully prepped HD on its own turf. I wonder how far back the HD would be on a circuit. No, I don't. You don''t need to be a genius to know that theHardly would be on lap 2 (if it got that far, drag bikes are hardly built for longevity, after all) when the Yam would have already lapped him, possibly twice.

I'm pretty sure that it did have an effect on him because why else did he decide to close his visor on his 2nd run? He won on his 2nd try btw. @@Frankthetank707 I know how drag racing works. My point was that it's not hard with traction, and the reason you don't see Harleys do it more often is because most of them will spin before they lift because the owners don't set them up for drag racing. Obviously being on a good surface with warm tires helps, too.

      I agree and I disagree. Baggers also carry a heavy frame and more weight all around. I have a sportster with a 1275 hammer and it is still torque because of the money I got into the engine and most importantly, my transmission allows me to have that torque because I have a five-speed and I have that lighter weight.. I don't know. I just find a built 1200 XLC makes a great dragster..Especially staged and raged.intake and coming out. Put a larger rear end kit on it and did some modifications to my 2009 1200 XL now it will literally shit flame when it builds up and releases combustion

    The guy on the R1 had a good launch the second time. He let off the throttle too early and it cost him .02 or so. Good run though.

    Quick Harley but also goes to show how much topend speed a sport bike has

  • @lianpo6343
    @lianpo6343 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Harley has no match at all because it's a Cruiser bike. Sports bike is an aerodynamic design so to lessen the wind resistance and it has high-speed gears too. But Sports bike torque is lesser compare with Cruisers.
    Cruiser are more on torque power and relax riding position but less of speed and no aerodynamics at all.
    Cruiser are good for long drive journeys because of its up right riding position for comfortable ride .
