If Horacio Pagani and Gordon Murray were friends and worked together on a dream car it would possibly lead to the most beautiful car ever made - two design philosophies blended in one iconic design.
@AI-qd4vb I mean why does Pagani have to follow everyone else to make the fastest hybrid supermarket? Who wants a hybrid when you have a twin turbo v12? Bet you'll draw more attention with this than a Lamborghini revuelto.
I remember seeing, roughly 25 years ago, a Bugatti prototype, a Koenigsegg and a Pagani at, if I remember correctly, the Paris Salon d'Automobile. The Bugatti had something about it that made look like a VW product. In addition both that car and even more so the Koenigsegg looked roughly made, not particularly appealing. Then I saw the Pagani and it was astounding. It looked like a polished jewel. The fit and finish was just other wordly compared to anything else at the time, exquisite carbon fiber, the leather straps, the polished instrument binnacles, the glass top, etc. I'll never forget it.
Congratulations on a superb review of my absolute favourite car manufacturer of all time, this is one truly beautiful and pure car, it's art on wheels. Just like you said, no overly complicated gadgets, just man and machine.
Pagani has taken advantage of the high-tech fiddling other car companies offer, and the world is missing out on the simplicity traditional cars offer. Classics, with their detailing and minute perfection, make the whole machine seem perfect. The V12 is one of the most legendary engines ever to fit in a hypercar. It is the perfect balance, a car company should have between simplicity and extremeness. Nice work Pagani!
Thank you Horacio for sharing your passion by delivering yet another piece of A-R-T! I admire your work since the firsts Zondas. For most of us, this will always remain just an Utopia (unrealizable dream) but of them we all are living for.
I'm really struggling to like the front end, but a darker color could probably fix that for me. The rear end is absolutely gorgeous though. Glad to hear it's fantastic to drive
Headlights are kind of a mixed bag but imo it's mainly the grille. If it was either a) the same height the whole way or b) instead of having the little arch at the bottom connecting the taller ends and the shorter center are, a vertical divider would have been perfect. Also, 2 tone schemes fit it far better.
To be fair, James, if I had been as fortunate as you to drive this masterpiece, I would probably have said Paddington was famous for eating peanut butter on kippers! Outstanding film and production values. You and the team must feel justly very proud indeed. Well done young man. Good job 👍.
This is to me by far the most exquisite Pagani I've ever seen in my life just incredible both on the look and the attention to details and of course the engine !!!
Wonderful! Your review is very on-point. My favorite was the second generation Zonda. I loved it exactly for the same reasons Pagani opted to get back to raw qualities. We're back in the days where the driver's connection with the engine, the car and the road mattered most. I longed for the steel gated shifter - I would have one on my desk. The Utopia is the new Zonda. It's a return to basics and to fun! To me it's like a orchestra's conductor, who is back to leading several musicians. while leaving behind the MIDI-computer and electronic keyboard. I can't afford one, but I sure want it. Yes, Pagani, to me, is the ultimate super-performance, dressed in a functional work-of-art package. Thank you so much. Cheers!
I typically prioritize practicality over aesthetics, yet the artistry displayed in this utopia is utterly mesmerizing. Maybe it's the very purpose of this car to highlight the pinnacle of craftsmanship on wheels, which is why it's so captivating. The fact that the review echoed this utopian ideal only adds to the allure, truly great stuff indeed 🙌🙌🙌🙌.
Quite a masterpiece although it makes me wonder. How does it compare to a Gordon Murray T50. This review makes me think the two cars are natural rivals
The Sound and the shifts! a v12 turbo manual is just nuts in todays world , total fantasy car in the best way possible! The workmanship on pagani's is off the charts.
Beautiful car this and the review 💯, but you can't compare the Pagani Utopia with the likes of Ferraris, Lamboghinis, McLarens of this day. The only direct & fair comparison to this car would be the Koenigsegg CC850. My thoughts
How about a Valkyrie for comparison? Also, the Daytona SP3 can definitely be compared, it sounds better as it has a naturally aspirated engine and many renowned people have highly rated its design.
TH-cam knows I have class: They showed me a Prada commercial before I check out a car I am highly interested in. TH-cam doesn't know I'm eating a microwaved burrito and drinking water out of my dirty coffee cup in old hanes boxers.
While it is, of course, impossible not to have the upmost respect for Mr. Pagani and the craftsmanship, I just can't get past this design. The first thing that came to mind was that the Utopia looks similar to the Japanese monstrosity, the Misuoka Orochi. By themselves there are, without question, some beautiful pieces (the rear lights, for example) but as a package...Those wheels are an eyesore. While it's a trick of the eye, the tiny center makes the wheels look cartoonishly small. I highly doubt any owner will even race theirs to the point where they will need race level technology. Of course, eye of the beholder and all of that but, in my humble opinion, Mr. Pagani tried too hard to be different on this one. It, undoubtedly drives like a masterpiece (although, it has always been hard to get over Paganis having AMG power plants, when Mr. Konigsegg builds his own engines from scratch). I am sure that if I see one in the flesh (which is possible in Miami), I will appreciate what it is but it will still be difficult to get past its design.
I'll probably never be able to buy this car, but I love knowing that it exists because it's art. What humans can achieve is sometimes unbelievable, and It's deeply inspiring. Thank you Pagani, and @Carmagazine good review btw.
What a lot of people dont realize is that this car is undermined by such an excellent video. Its more than anything that can be said in this format. Its a modern day Davinci piece of design and engineering, and it will influence modern high end car design in around another ten years ir more when ither designers catch on. It is an exceptional machine, past any others that can only be measured higher in figures and numbers.
Perfection. The last true "exotic" left this world, where it's attention to detail goes beyond it's performance. It's automotive art. True passion by Horatio.
Tbh at first when i saw the car i was not sure about the look but now after seeing it in action, wow it is absolutely stunning design, minimal and elegant without any unnecessary vents and angles that are just there to scream look at me.
Since launch the Utopia has looked better and better every time I see it and the longer I looked. At first glance I thought they injected a zonda look into the huayra and didn't love it, but it continues to grow on me. Excited to see the Utopia BC and roadster in the future.
Horacio Pagani is a legend for making this piece of art. I was so tired of seeing silly car designs with screens sticking out of everywhere and stupid electrified powertrains. This is what I like. Such a masterpiece.
"Outrageous" was the hyperbole you used when speaking of the interior. I'm not being critical when I say the following, but I don't think that's the best word used when speaking of this cars interior, or any part of this car. It's really the zenith, the pinnacle is apex of automobile building. In fact, this car was more born than built. It's surreal. Pagani has truly taken what Ferrari and various other makers following Ferrari and elevated what they've all brought forth from the earth. It's amazing to think that human kind has taken raw materials from the earth and created this car. A pinnacle of human imagination. Horacio Pagani, thank you. I wish I could own, or at the least, drive one.
What a nice car. The interior, wow. Metal and Leather, nothing looks plastic or cheap. It looks like the materials our ancestors would use not that long ago before the move to plastics. The gauges, look absolutely gorgeous. The gearbox looks very retro, very steam punk, it's brilliant. That truly is The Car. Wow
My new dream car.Thank you Horacio Pagani for bringing these cars to life (and keeping the EL plastic “use and throw away” fantastic, out,) Pure art ⚜️✨

It would look amazing in Black and Gold Wheels
If Horacio Pagani and Gordon Murray were friends and worked together on a dream car it would possibly lead to the most beautiful car ever made - two design philosophies blended in one iconic design.
We’ve went back to the beginning of the video 30 times and watched the whole 3 times! Great job on that review !!!❤
Thank you!
I was wondering if Pagani had went the electric route ….
My question was answered within 5 seconds !!!
Utterly glorious v12 symphony!!
Superb .
They'll make a hybrid next car no doubt
They went the force induction route. Is that better for a "pure" sports car? Hybrid solutions have improved force induction ones since ages ago.
@AI-qd4vb I mean why does Pagani have to follow everyone else to make the fastest hybrid supermarket? Who wants a hybrid when you have a twin turbo v12? Bet you'll draw more attention with this than a Lamborghini revuelto.
its my life goal to own one of these. I will not stop working until I have one
Well you're already doing better than the real Michael Jackson 🤷🏻♂️😏😉😂
@@Aceimus1066 yes sir because I am alive
Good luck trying to wrestle one away from it's owner. Even if you could afford it, you'll probably never get one.

Beautiful production for a gorgeous car. It looks like it was a very special moment to be able to have this under your control.
This is the most beautiful car I've seen in years. Wow.
🔥Finally a worthy successor to the Zonda!!🔥
Nope, not an atmosphérique sorry
Thats not fair. Have you driven A Huyra?
The Zonda is still my favorite.
i wouldnt go that far but i think its better than the huayra,at least in terms of looks
The "Chain of Command" at Pagani goes like this: _Zonda -> Huayra -> Utopia._
So it's a worthy successor to *Huayra.*
Congratulations on a superb review of my absolute favourite car manufacturer of all time, this is one truly beautiful and pure car, it's art on wheels. Just like you said, no overly complicated gadgets, just man and machine.
The most legendary start of a car review video I ve ever experienced in my life!!
Agree, I much prefer the rear. Zonda stay the better looking imo
Spot on
You are not alone.
Nice review as always
My apologies to Paddington and his fan club for such a rookie error. Please forgive me 😂🤦♂️
To be fair, James, if I had been as fortunate as you to drive this masterpiece, I would probably have said Paddington was famous for eating peanut butter on kippers! Outstanding film and production values. You and the team must feel justly very proud indeed. Well done young man. Good job 👍.
@@craiglington Thank you Sir!
This is to me by far the most exquisite Pagani I've ever seen in my life just incredible both on the look and the attention to details and of course the engine !!!
This video was begging for a race track!
Amazing car
What it really needed was a lot of pov
@@chiefdenis That too
No one makes cars like pagani! Absolutely no one!
I am a huge admirer of Horacio Pagani´s art, but the back of Utopia looks like Sid from Ice Age
and front too
Quite a masterpiece although it makes me wonder. How does it compare to a Gordon Murray T50. This review makes me think the two cars are natural rivals
Utopia much nicer inside TBF however sound wise reckon the Gordon Murray would take it..😮
Still think I would take the pagani if honest ❤
The t50 is more about driving, this is more about art
@@Sbinott0 yes 😁
Looking at this car makes me understand why some cancelled their allocations.
This review, sir, is an absolute masterpiece, thank you for the fulfillment.
Thanks very much!
My thoughts
It almost has a steam punk filled to it
@@mjdgi1 Stands apart from Neo-Victorianism by emphasizing both tech and fashion, I get you
How about a Valkyrie for comparison?
I am sure that if I see one in the flesh (which is possible in Miami), I will appreciate what it is but it will still be difficult to get past its design.
the long awaited review, CAR Magazine always delivers
I'll probably never be able to buy this car, but I love knowing that it exists because it's art. What humans can achieve is sometimes unbelievable, and It's deeply inspiring. Thank you Pagani, and @Carmagazine good review btw.
Glad you enjoyed!
Ive always appreciated what pagani have done. Fantastic looking cars that backs it up also. Very unique
This is an amazing car. It truly has a sense of occasion that pretty much no other car out there delivers. This is one of the best cars on this world.
Every single Pagani created from inception onwards, is pure perfection in every sense ❤️🇿🇦
I'm not up to date on every car globally but that's the prettiest car i've seen in many years.
Now this is a proper car. Aesthetically pleasing to look at, something you'll never get bored of, a car that stirs the soul.
Uforia not just utopia, hats down to this timeless beast
1st time in 200 years watching a video at normal speed.
Thank you.

Glad you enjoyed!
This must be the pinnacle of how cars should sound surely 😮wow
The car is so beautifully and has enormous horse power to go with it, i can't wait to have ones of these
Of course it's beautiful, this car is a beast, just listen to the sound
The Pagani Utopia is a powerful, limited-edition sports car with a V12 engine and a $2.5 million price tag.
Of course, it's a beast!!
But the price is really discouraging.
That shouldn't stop you, start now and invest, use a CFA to make it easier and safer
Finally got to see a video of Pagani cars!
Incredible. This is the love letter to driving and performance written in 2024, and produced with the DNA of what piloting mechanics were built on.
Wow
The interior of this car and the Spyker C8 are the absolute best!
My new dream car.Thank you Horacio Pagani for bringing these cars to life (and keeping the EL plastic “use and throw away” fantastic, out,) Pure art ⚜️✨
For me it's the zonda c12s my favorite. It's crazy to think that zonda are now 25 years old but still looking so good today as well
Just amazing. Love that this one has 48000 km - no other one on earth will even ever come close to that number. At least people know it can. Shame they will live in garages, never to be driven.
