Exactly, that's why the characters who knew The Boss had her in such high regard that they never thought about her flaws or that her will had been ambiguous. That is why Snake and Otacon are the ones who best knew how to carry out her will, precisely because they never met her.
@@joaquinpalencia5340While I understood Solid the boss without knowing her, it is very sad that the big boss was with that woman for years and then misunderstood her.
i wonder if, barring the fact he never wanted clone kids in the first place, if this helped sour the relationship between solid snake and big boss. solid snake embodies everything about the boss that big boss never had. he got her title but none of her ideals. a mother can strive to do what is best for her children, but that doesn’t mean her children will be always receptive to her efforts. ironically enough, both snake and the boss died unfair albeit heroic deaths. they sacrificed so much for a world that always intended to betray them. big boss gave up that opportunity once he began to stray from the boss’s will.
1:00 that’s a good quote. A lot of people tend to forget the past and only focus on the future. But one could always remember the past and build the future at the same time.
This reminds reminds me of a quote I have heard once, people will forget what you said, maybe even who you were, but they won't forget how you made them feel or think; it's not about having a ton of views on a video (even though I think more people should see this). what counts is that you made a difference in someone, that alone is more valuable than millions of people not just seeing what you say at a very superficial value. Happy 20th birthday mgs2!
What happened to the original upload of this??? Did the original channel get taken down or something? I'm not even sure who the original artist is but this is a classic piece.
The artist is named "Harshai" and they took it down of their own accord, I believe, for reasons unknown. They never released a statement about it, to my knowledge. The original link shows it was made private, not deleted, so it's probably a case of the artist being fickle in spite of their own amazing work. I managed to scrape the original video from the wayback machine.
Mann, finishing MGS2 for the first time was a unique experience for me, (even that i already knew the lore of the game and the rest of the franchise before playing MGS2). I cried during the ending, Snake's speech is so powerful...
Thank you for uploading this! It used to be one of my favourite videos, so when it disappeared I was afraid it was lost forever. So good to see it again, because it's just wonderful.
Probably most important game of the series, almost every single theme it touches its more relevant today than in 2001, its bizarre how much things it predicted
fun fact ihad only played rising until some days alier when i diceded to play all mgs games on my ps3 i have beated the mgs2 some minutes before youtube recomended this video
As of today November 13, 2021, MGS2 is 20 years old and yet it’s themes and memes well always well be with us; awesome Animatic!
The man just summarized the Boss’s dying wish without ever knowing her.

Solid snake was a better apprentice of the boss without even knowing who she was

Big boss>solid snake
They both legends
No need for comparing main characters they both are the face of Metal Gear as a whole
