HI Ria, the vest video is almost done. Expect to see the part 1 in the next day or so. IT has certainly been alot of fun, and a joy to share it with you all. Happy sewing
Thank you for your comment. Seems the navy blue is more my colour than I thought.. Funnily enough I have made 2 tops recently with dark blue and I get alot of comments. Must be hey?! Happy sewing
Interesting, I saw the bow video on my feed but I never wear bows so I didn't watch it. But you've made it sound interesting! I'm going to watch it now!
Fabulous blouse Deb, that fabric really suits you and looks great on your colouring. I’m interested to see your take on me made May. I think idea of a me made for Spring is a great idea, have a great sewing week, Deb
Your vest is looking very interesting. I’ve been dismantling jeans over the last few days. I’m planning on making a Jacket, I need to stop procrastinating or I’ll run out of time.
Hi, I hope you get your jacket made up during May in time to load it onto Insta for the challenge! I am looking forward to seeing it. Enjoy the process!
Maybe call is selfsewnseptember? It’s a great idea to do it twice a year anyway to cover the two brackets of seasons. Love the Pussy bow blouse. I’ve always associated it with office attire though strangely (this farm girl obviously doesn’t have one🙄) but I’m intrigued by the history of it though and will pop over to sew over it to figure that bit out. Presenting what kind of workshops Deb?
Hello, thanks for your comments. I hope you enjoyed the Sew Over it video about the women's bows. the workshops I present are on Wellbeing. I run it both online and face to face. Happy sewing!
Deb, what a perfect blouse! ❤ Great fit! Lovely fabric choice for that pattern. However, know that I am a sucker for a beautiful floral fabric. I am eagerly waiting to see the vest. Good luck with your serger. When did you last replace the cutting blades on it? I got my sew jo back. It feels so good. Bernadette
HI Bernadette, I am so pleased to hear your sew jo is back. It feels great doesnt it? The blades on my serger were replaced last service, which was about a yearr ago... but good point. It might be that! Enjoy your sewing, now that you have the urge back!
Hi Deb, I love the blouse and the fabric. Is an adjustment to the shoulder cap easy enough for intermediate sewers as I have this issue with a few of my favourite patterns? Happy sewing! 😊
HI Liz, I googled how to do the shoulder cap adjustment, it wasnt hard, but now I think my sleeves are a bit tight... more adjusting next time. This pattern is a lovely one for sure.
Can you show me how you do the front where the bow finishes and where the front seam goes up to? Do you end up with a funny gap? Just made my first one today and not happy with that area.
HI Janey-Jane, yes I also ended up with a small gap at the top of the V-neck. I have made many of these blouses and I think it can be a bit cleaner if you just extend the ties a bit more. Perhaps try their website, there could be some information on there? Good luck with it all
Love your blouse! Can’t wait to see the finished up cycled vest. Sounds like it’s service time for the overlocker.
Hi and thanks for your comment. I cleaned the overlocker and rethreaded it from scratch, and it seems to be fine now!
Thanks for your video Deb. Love your attitude to the overlocker. I can relate. 😊
Oh yes, that Overlocker... hopefully I can work it out OK. They can cause us strife cant they? Happy sewing
Lovely blouse.
Can't wait to see your vest.
Hi Libby, thankyou for your comment. The vest video part 1 should be out in a day or so... its been alot of fun that's for sure! Happy sewing
Lovely blouse Deb - this style really suits you. Like the sound of ‘Me made Spring etc.’

Hi Deb, thanks for your comments, as always great to hear from you. Happy sewing
My Gladys is the same she sometimes refuses to play /sew .I have had to walk away and give her space lol.
Oh yes, overlockers... they have a mind of their own it seems

Regardless, get your serger in for servicing. It is quite possible that you may damage it if you continue. Think of it as having a doctor check-up.
Yes, great idea. I should get that serviced soon
