Hey man, saw you were having trouble with ctrl + f9 teleporting your truck, but it’s not showing up when I click on your comment to reply, you might have figured it and out and deleted it but just wanna make sure, did you end up getting it working? :)
Erm, some misleading information in here. But mostly very useful. The set_time is to be used carefully when having a job, because you can only forward time, and it subtracts your remaining job time. The displayed info on the g_traffic command is off, you have a set in there that isn't needed. But the explanation is correct. The police command doesn't actually remove police cars in traffic it just removes the fines! Oh and for most of the commands you get the default values if you just type in the command with no extras. So for example if you just put in g_traffic without anything you'll get the info that the default is 1.
Almost forgot, you can use the goto command with part-names of the city as well. So you won't have to type in the full name, just some parts of it and usually it still works.
I can't believe this, I was using the console for the last couple of years or so but never knew I can alter the speed of flying with the scrolling wheel. The reason one must always watch Wombat's great videos!

Good question. There might be a way to change the keybinds but I am not exactly sure (By the way, you are talking about the Num Pad.) and you can get Num Pad's that are USB from Amzon for like $13)
Saved the file, and checked it like 50 times now, but whenever i press the tilted key, it dosen't open console. Tried restarting my game a few times, still not working.
Thank you, i came that far to open and close the console and also fly around but it does not teleport my truck when i fly to some place and press f9. i tried that in ATS 1.40.
thanks for the video :). one think i was thinking about, you have in the game that you can zoom in, can you keep it zoomed in or chance it in different levels? Not only change the settings of your seat in your truck...

However, I successfully changed the keys in order to use these with a TKL mechanical keyboard, just I don`t exactly remember how. Pls google something like "how to change the keybindings for the freecam in ETS2", and it should return some relevant tutorials. Edit: yup, the first link is a TruckersMP forum topic. Follow the steps in that one and it should work.

I cannot enable the console. When i change g_console and g_developer to 1 (or any other setting) it keeps reverting when profile gets loaded. Do you have any solution to that? After I changed the file I verify if it is changed using grep. I even have sed script which will quickly change it but it doesn't work. Do you know how to enable it in this situation?
@@WombatTrucker local ones. I made sure that there are no steam cloud data from ets2 on my account. Turned out that after changing the settings in config.cfg I have to remove cache directory. Then game detect that there was data change and cache needs to be rebuilt. So afterwards everything is ok. Console is working correctly. Also I have tried running game with config.cfg modified and set read-only bit. but only after removing cache it worked. Nevertheless thanks for help :-)
When i press 8 to move forward(after pressing 0)i find myself high up in the sky and nothing works anymore. Press 1 i am back in the truck. But flying...can't get it to work?
Hello, sir. Maybe you can help me. I recently bought a DLC (my first). Lately, I've driven to England and parked. I saved the game, think that the next day I'd take the ferry into Iberia (my new DLC). Well, the next day, when I started the game, I got a mysterious popup, something like "game change detected. I found that my truck had been teleported back to my main garage (which I almost never use). This really upset me, since I had to journey back to England all over again. This has happened to me twice. I really don't like the idea of "teleporting", but I don't want to take the same journey over and over again either. I'd really appreciate some advice. Nice video, BTW.
If you subscribed to a mod or removed one.... this will pop up. It keeps the game working right. This will happen anytime you add or remove a mod. Think Mod Updates might do this as well.
I think my buffer is set to 50, not 500 but I could be wrong. I have the luxury of not having to care as I have 32GB RAM. Setting it to 50 is more then enough and in many situations required for map combos
Then you might have to reactivate developer mode. This might happen if the config.cfg file is overwritten or recreated for a number of reasons. Its rare but not unheard of.
I often use the console, but in my case the field of view is zoomed in and I don't know how to zoom out. Does anyone knows how to do? PS. Sorry for my English!
Always fail to teleport. Get under the truck no problem. Then use the np 8 key and Woosh! I'm in the stratosphere. The other np keys give me issues too. Maybe it's my keyboard .....🤔🤔
Use the scroll wheel on the mouse to set the speed. Scroll towards you (for five times) to slow down and do that after you press 0 and before you press np 8

Since 1.42 update, for teleport you need to press CTRL+F9

The zoom is a setting found in “Keys & Buttons”-> Camera Controls -> Zoom interior Camera

Are you using local profiles or are you using steam saved profiles? I am using local profiles only.

Do you mean the zoom interior camera? Its found in game settings-> Keys&Buttons->Camera Controls
