You know, I tried using this weapon back in the day on my str build with frost infusion since it still got B str scaling. But I was really disappointed in it back then. Now with the speed buff it might be worth it to try it out again
It really should be nerfed to be more fair. I'd increase duration by 50% and decrease damage boost by 50%. The ridiculous damage ive pulled off with it is just unfair.
Twin blades seems to go well with Royal knights resolve. It's running R1 gets both hits buffed by RKR and a charged R2 also gets all 3 hits buffed. Godskin peelers unique running R2 also benefits from this. Most double hit attacks don't work this way with RKR only buffing the first or second hit
I picked up the Gargoyle Twinblade like 4 months ago. Quickly became one of my top 5 favorite weapons in Elden Ring. Heavy infused, with Cragblade. THEN, they buffed Cragblade! Apparently the also buffed the twinblade weapon class, but if it’s only PvP related, I didn’t notice, nor do I see much difference in PVE. Still as awesome as I remember it.
They increased the speed on the 2 handed moveset, there is a comparison video somewhere in youtube. Usually speed buffs and nerfs apply to both pve and pvp.
This was the first update to separate PvE changes from PvP changes. Gotta look it up because I don't have it memorized. No twinblade needed a PvE buff but maybe it happened...

I agreed to the data usage policy when first starting the game, and I was one of the unlucky gamers that lost ALL their progress when the game crashed early on (like 120 hours) and had to start over. So I feel like someone at Fromsoft is actually looking real close at my gameplay, using my data to help balance the game. Maybe that’s my ego or paranoia talking, but so much of the stuff I felt was just barely too weak but liked using was buffed up just enough, for me. Like Cragblade, Braggart’s Roar, Golden Vow, Phantom Slash, and others. And those are just the Ashes of War.
I really need to try out the Arena soon. I'm almost tempted to ressurect my Bloodhound build, as self-gimped as I will be (damn you, low poise and no weapon interoperability!), just for the styling and the lols haha!

im kind of annoyed at how i get constantly insta-staggered on the first hit of a power stanced twinblade build when rocking 51 poise and upwards, i should be able to tank half of that stuff so i can at least react, but its not meant to be, i just get staggerlocked by jumps constantly and then insta-status.

It really does look like the twinblades might be a little busted. Those roll catches, and just sheer speed of the running attack alone, look insane.

51 poise isn't the threshold anymore. It got changed to being 70 and 77 poise now. 51 protects against basically nothing.
51 poise is nothing now with the latest update
If you're below 83 poise you're essentially fucked in pvp
