Pest threads would be great if you're doing a insect pokemon xD

It's good. I like the dark souls level design better than open worlds tho, so overall I like other souls games better. The pvp in elden ring is worse though lol.
This one nearly surpasses your last PvP video on the Winged Scythe, especially since there didn't seem to be a meta tweeb. Though that bleed dual straight sword might have been one, apart from him it was smooth sailing and vibes. But it doesn't have as many tight clashes and close, probably because the Bloody Slash hits like a truck when you catch people with it. That guy floating up finishing his Placidusax spell was hilarious tho. Personally, I would have done a heavy attack. BTW, does any know if the slash stacks bleed build up?
More stuff that hurt you: blood sorceries, assasin gambit (if you combine it with hidden body your opponent cant lock on to you), mist as always and I dont know if there's something else
So I made a build based around self harm and I didnt use royal remains BUT, I went with a weird greatbow setup. I used Radahn’s greatbow, rocked the white mask, used the assassin's gambit weapon art on a little side dagger I kept, had both feather talismans on along with the twinbird kite shield, and used the dismounter curved sword because it looked nice and scaled well alongside the greatbow and threw seppuku on it. Now, I didnt make much use of bleed itself but I did use it to activate the white mask damage boost alongside the talisman that pairs with it to boost my damage every time I used seppuku on myself so my greatbow did even more damage. Its an invasion build though, you steath around with assassins gambit to find a good angle of attack and pop a seppuku or two to get to low hp, whip out the greatbow, and fire away!
To add to this, since the curved greatsword and radahns bow both scaled similarly, I also had the same damage potential in my melee strikes especially if I made use of seppuku on the sword. I recommend for a duel build that you try seppuku with white mask and blood talisman and throw in the bird kite and feather talismans and try for a low hp self harm oneshot build!
Some additional things you can try out for more self-damage are the Thorn/Aberrant Sorceries & Night Maiden's Mist. Or, for Incants there's Fire's Deadly Sin but you usually only see people using that for the ridiculous exploit, or you could purposely inflict Madness on yourself. As for Ashes, there's also Blood Blade, which is basically the Ash the Reduvia gets only it costs HP instead of FP. Finally, Assassin's Gambit (Favorite PvE Ash) has a very small HP cost for Partial Invisibility and Noise Reduction. Couple with Unseen Form and you can't be locked onto in PvP, but that's not self-damage related.
As someone who only plays these games offline would you say this game is still worth getting for the pve alone? I was far to busy to put time into it on release but I've played every game they've made since ds1 and thoroughly enjoyed each one. I'm bummed to hear that they're still making pvp balance changes affect pve but at least I'm accustomed to it. (although I won't lie, I don't think they do a very good job of it: end state of faith in ds2 as an example) Regardless, I appreciate you and always enjoy your content! Seems like the Bloody Slash is another Glintstone Pebble in terms of damage but is actually balanced due to the big tell of its wind up. Hope FS keeps the damage, because without it, the long wind up wouldn't make it worth while. Also, as someone who plays a low health set up in another game, I'd say it's not all it's cracked up to be. These builds usually funnel you down to load outs that are mostly similar, and I don't doubt they are fun. But in games with a semi-competitive side and where HP usually defines win-lose conditions, it's not entirely different from normal builds. Just a different flavor, I guess.
8:55 you actually got put in the boost zone by the flaming strike's flames, not by your own AoW >_> also, I'm pretty sure they would have died to the AoW even without the boost (unfortunately? I don't know XD)

Great video Moose. Im not 100% sure but i beleive Briars of punishment spell also damages the user so maybe that could be an option

blood blade ash of war does a small amount of damage on the first cast, you can chain cast more for free until you run out of fp/stam

Fromsoft has already patched out bloody slash in a previous update (1.03 I think ) where they tuned it's damage cause it was even nastier before
It works in Elden tho! The defense actually is huge! Plus the armor giving you HP regen makes you survive in surprising situations!
