    You learn pretty fast! If you master basic blues, you'll develop incredible string vibrato and perfect string-bending expression aka "feel" that starts as an idea in your mind and comes to life through your fretting and picking hands

    This is really good progress! I've been playing for almost exactly 2 years as well, and you have very good phrasing and control on slower songs. I've mostly played metal, and one thing I can recommend if you want to be able to play faster songs and solos is actually to get your downpicking down. I saw in the last clip that your fretting hand was really good, but that you maybe could work a bit on your picking hand. Even when you're alternate picking, having good control over your downpicking helps so much, since it gives you a more constant and "secure" feel in your right hand. I've been working on my downpicking speed a lot recently, I can downpick pretty comfortably at 205BPM, and I've noticed that shreddy solos become a lot easier when you get the basic downpicking down at a good speed. Hope this helps, awesome progress! 😊

    just 1 mistake you should try to avoid, is that your hand is always on the same position. Use your wrist to play the string and your arm to change the string. Its much better and you will get better muting. (a lot of very fast players use this motion, me included. I like Bernth a lot and Troy Grady does have a lot of videos about diffrent picking movments and technics)
    Keep up the good work.🔥

    I've played for 7 years, and you're almost if not better then me. Story: I learned chords and all that for 6 years because my guitar teacher didnt challenge me enough. The second i got a new one, i learned smells like teen spirit, then worked on master of puppets for a while and got bored so i switched to hell above. rn im learning purple rain instrumental cover.

    I wasn’t sure from your video if you do too much palm muting, but a great way to improve palm muting skills is to play some thrash or even punk songs. From personal experience Metallica and Green Day took me from seven nation army to master of puppets level.

      Its like I can do fingerpick I can play blackbird by the beatles with confidence but my pick picking is not that accurate and I need to work on that to be able to play solos.
      Pieces of 6 second loops that Ive practiced 10000 times are fine but I need to learn changing between single note picking and chord picking and many many more things

      A lot of tab books, books in general, TH-cam videos to hear how the song sounds. I like watching videos of people that are deemed as “good” and try to copy their technique. I’m hitting a rough patch rn in practice bc I feel like I’m not progressing as fast as I thought I would be. Just gotta get over this hump.

      @@J4kerGuitarthis always happens with guitar, you start and you're terrible, then you get good at the basics and you improve ridiculously fast. It slows down after a while and you stagnate a little, it's hard but keep playing you won't regret it.

    • @mainstreamdoge1762
      @mainstreamdoge1762 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You should learn the simple chords first and practice so that you can transition between the chords effortlessly. Then you can move to the chords which beginners have difficulties with (bar chords). You can learn the strumming of simple songs. It'll take you about 7-8 months to play it with a bit of ease. After that you can move to the harder parts of guitar learning.

    • @Eeeeerisssss
      @Eeeeerisssss หลายเดือนก่อน

      It all depends on what music you want to play / make. I'm into math rock-ish and j-rock stuff, for example. I've been playing for around 4 months and I can play decently challenging solos/riffs/lead guitar related stuff, and write my own stuff, but when it comes to chords I'm still kind of a noob because that's less interesting to me. Just focus on doing what makes you feel the itch do play the guitar whenever you can.
