From what I've seen of Young Justice Invasion, it didn't really feel like a Season 2. It felt more like the show's 4th or 5th season, with the seasons in between deleted from existence.
100% agree. The 5 year time skip killed everything. The show had an extremely popular 1st season, and then the writers chose to get rid of everything that made it so good. We missed out on so much character development and content. And the comics and video game (let’s be real, did anyone actually play it?) do not even come close to making up for all that lost time. It’s unfortunate how hard young Justice fell, and season 3-4 only solidified that failure
Personally I don’t think it was the perfect successor because for me young Justice will always be Tim, Kon, Bart and Cassie but they replaced three of the core members with other characters like Dick, Wally and M’Gann which I really don’t like
suicide squad is overrated and the fact that it got multiple movies and even a game is awful, such a boring, edgy for the sake of nothing squad of terrible villians with no chemistery.
@@thephoenix4093i mean james gunn did well with them. I think their popularity is all in the regular audience. A bunch of super villains dying to save the day is great for getting non comic fans in seats.
@@Oncewasacco I'm not saying they can't be done well. and the premise isn't the problem, its the execution. its literally a bunch of villians mashed together. that are supposed to take on superman level threat, which is obviously really dumb since there isn't a single person on the squad except the one that went rogue that can take on superman. Ideally, if it were a squad composed of the likes of deathstroke, even red hood and such, I wouldn't feel like its overrated as it currently is.
@@Oncewasaccobut the Teen Titans have a built in audience both from their iconic comics that ran for decades and the the very popular show. Why wouldn't you capitalize on that? @@DavidMartinez-ce3lp I mean.. its Harley Quinn! As a non-comic person, everyone knows the "core 4/5" of Batman; him, Robin, Joker, and Harley; to see the villain in an anti-hero concept was appealing and I really did like Suicide Squad when I first saw it. WB really likes to push their Robins back, though, I guess they found him and the titans as uninteresting in comparison to the s.s
It's sort of like what Nicklodeon do with Spongebob Cartoon Network consistently had it on their lineup especially marathons and it was heavily marketed especially on social media as it came out during the at a time where social media had taken over making it easier to reach a wider audience
The show was made to pander to little kids and it unfortunately worked. It worked to the point where they were airing it like crazy and taking other action shows and making them "comedies". All while getting rid of action shows because kids weren't buying the toys. Ironically this backfired because nobody watched and liked those other shows, the kids moved on to the internet so they aren't watching Teen titans go any more. Now CN is trying to win back older audiences with Checkered Past and Toonami Rewind (which I actually like).

@@Renegade-kf8fpoh please, it'll probably be written like another CW style thing. That's all WB seems to want to do woth their characters. What a waste
To be fair I do think we fan boys can overestimate how popular what we like is. If there was a Titans film those who read the 80's comic or liked the cartoon would make up less than 1% of the people who go to see. I think it's also easy to forget that the Titans have historically not had all that much success outside the 80's run and the 2000's show. None of their other comic runs have ever been massive successes aside from the 80's. And I'm saying this as someone who has the Titans as arguably my favorite team.
@@TeamTowers1 although the Titans’ popularity fell off hard in the 90s like most comics, my main point was that even though the brand has consistently been amongst the more popular titles of DC’s brands they still never fully take advantage of it. TT Go and the live action series are there, yes, but why not more? The brand was at a near all time high in the 2000s cause of the show, which heavily boosted the sales of the comics, yet a video game, or a follow up Titans animated project or live action endeavor weren’t see til years later. With Warner Bros keeping the brand on the back foot, while DC comics (2010s to 2015) had made the choice to keep the team as one of their more mid-level series compared to their other works
@@omi.chi14 and that's the problem. Hollywood seems to push those people out. Very rare to see someone who is a genuine fan get a hold of these characters.
I said it before on a previous video of yours and I'll say it again here: After reading the 80's era of the Teen Titans, I loved it. It was so engaging and the writers and artists put so much work into making the stories and characters exciting and fun. And then I realized that DC REALLY hates the Teen Titans, my gosh! You already did a video on how DC mistreats Nightwing, Wally West and Tim Drake (who was co-created by Marv Wolfman the main writer for the 80's Teen Titans) but the other Titans get so much crap. Between editorial mandates derailing storylines and crossover events killing off secondary characters (Infinite Crisis, Heroes in Crisis, I'm looking at you two), the individual characters also get treated like garbage. You've got: -Ruining Donna Troy's backstory multiple times -Killing off Lian Harper and removing Roy Harper's intelligence in the New52 -Removing Beast Boy's intelligence and maturity -Killing off Tempest (aka Aqualad 1) during the Darkest Night Event -In the New52, 'promoting' Cyborg to the Justice League... at the expense of his entire Titans' history (seriously when Wally got promoted, his history didn't get erased. It was part of his character) -Making Raven evil... again (right now in the comics, her evil side has control again. FOR THE FIFTH TIME!) -And Starfire, oh god, Starfire. Marv Wolfman wrote this whole interesting setting for her planet and the Vegan system. There was a civil war going on with her sister and her parents. The Omega Men were fighting to free their solar system. And Starfire would sometimes get involved. And what does DC do? Well, she was mind-r*ped on her wedding day to Dick Grayson by Raven, her relationship with Nightwing broke apart so he could be more in Batman books, the Batman writers bashed her HARD (Chuck Dixon and Devin Grayson were the biggest offenders in this), her planet gets destroyed, her parents die, her sister barely gets mentioned anymore, and in the New52, the writers took away all the fun parts of her personality and left only fan service. No wonder her fans are so defensive! DC took away all her cool history and left her with nothing! And I didn't even get into the Young Justice characters (like Tim, Conner, Bart, Cassie) or the secondary characters. Apologies for my rant, it really got to me how badly these characters got fumbled man. There's so much cool history and every time someone wants do something to save them DC derails them
Agreed, they need to stop trying to make everything so damn edgy. It's so boring and lame. Removing all the fun, and running from the history. Same thing is happening with their live action stuff.
Preach it, man because everything that you just said is 100% fact. Another detail that I would like to add is that Geoff Johns (somewhat), Dan Didio, and Bob Harris were also to blame for the missed treatment of the Titans and Young Justice characters since Dan Didio, for example, doesn't like legacy heroes. But by the time 5G was on the rise, Didio wanted to push woke legacy characters and neglect the pre established ones. Luckily WB fired him but some writers and editors still used some of the concepts later on but didn't last long due to poor sales.
I feel particularly bad for Beast Boy. Look, I *WANT* to like him, He's got cool powers and killer character design, especially in Young Justice Invasion and Rebirth. But sadly, DC always finds a way to make him an annoying twit.
@@brandonscott4808 as much as Johns TT help revitalize the franchise I wasn't a huge fan of how a lot of characters were handled and I know this is a mix bag for NTT and YJ fans alike. Didio himself really didn't seem to like the Titans with all the previous examples above as well as so many others used as canon fodder and punching bags, which you can see all in display in his 5G/Future State plans. With him gone the Titans have caught a break at least but even still feels not utilized to most of their potential.
I can’t believe that the writers decided to actually write that scene with Robin breaking down about his parents. In TTG I swear they all make the characters so mean and goofy where it’s not fun to watch. Like you said the whole point of the og TT is that they’re a team but in TTG I like they’re just making fun of the og one.
Would love to see Donna Troy get her flowers in media. I hope we get to see her in the DCU or perhaps in Wonder Woman’s own animated show. She’s a fun and resourceful character that’s sadly been bogged down by editorial fuckery
Just like her big sister mentor. Remember she's a walking "continuity is for hacks" character...seriously how many Wonder Girl retcons are there? (Actually don't answer one happens every panel.😂)
@@rhesaparis5543 there are at least four Wonder Girls. Wonder Woman herself is the original Wonder Girl. In the silver age from Wonder Woman 105-117 she was just "Secret Sensational Adventures of Wonder Woman when she was a girl", from Wonder Woman 118-122 she was using a chronomorpher (yes the Amazons invented it long before the Power Rangers did...actually I headcanon now that she gave it to Time Force at some point and they mass produced it) to change her age and then from Wonder Woman 123-158 there are multiverse tales set on Earth 124. 1 featuring Wonder Woman, Wonder Girl and Wonder Tot all co-existing. Donna Troy is the second Wonder Girl and one of the two that people are most familiar with, founding member of the Teen Titans and a walking mess of retcons. Cassie Sandsmark is the third Wonder Girl, she is depending on thr canon...either the daughter or granddaughter of Zeus...I prefer Post-Crisis canon. Yara Flor is the fourth Wonder Girl and one of the future weilders of the Wonder Woman title who is an Amazon from the Amazon (originally however she came from Boise, Idaho, but immigrated and spent most of her life there), who loathes being called Wonder Girl, even though Diana gave her the name...and acts as if Diana's her Robin....uh Yara what do you think your in a Schumaker movie? @@rhesaparis5543 and here's just how messy Donna can get alone. On both sides of the Crisis, once Bob Haney made a goof about Donna being a thing just so there would be a girl for the Teen Titans that wasn't redundant (because Supergirl was already in college then and both Bette Kane and Tula Marris at the time would have been redundant even though both later did join and Tula joined shortly after Omen, Hawk and Dove, but in their "Bat" role of "part-timer"), DC editorial had to start retroactively turning some Young Diana Stories into Donna stories vis recolors in reprints so that Donna could exist more fluidly at the same time that Marv Wolfman came up with the first Donna origin in Teen Titans 29 before he expanded on it in 1983 and then overdid it after the reboot...and hated that he overdid it after the Crisis. Here are the issues that logically retroactively became Donna stories. Wonder Woman 117 because it mirrors Donna's first origin almost perfectly (just treat the time travel comment as Donna's imagination and when she returns home alongside Diana it proves she passed a test because the silver age sidekicks were all tested by their mentors instead of just automatics like the golden age), Wonder Woman 125 with The Glop, an update concerning Wingo (Bird-Boy) and Ronno (Mer-Boy) and the issue with the Jekyll/Hyde mask in it all became Donna's "With Diana trainings". Sure they say that Donna's official debut is "Brave and the Bold 64", but logically and historically after the crisis it retroactively became Wonder Woman No. 117.

If they wanted an ending, the episode before that one would have quite literally been the best episode to end the series on. Instead, the following episode created a brand new mystery for the audience to care about and left it there. It's fair that most people think it was cancelled due to that reason.
@@lunamaster123 It makes perfect sense if you put your head into it and think for a second. Or if you literally just read the title of the episode which tells you the whole point of it. @@D3fault16 You are putting too much of your head into and trying rationalize it being conclusion the writers intended. I really want a show that follows Tim, Conner, Bart and Cassie. They’re my favorite young superhero team and my favorite generation of the teen titans, it upsets me that they haven’t had a proper show about them yet
In my opinion, the original 5 members need to be shown first: Robin, Kid Flash, Red Arrow, Aqualad, Wonder Girl. I say that because there needs to be a strong foundation of the founders before you go off and introduce the new titans, when you do it like this, it makes the growth of the team more believable and organic. We have a chance to see Dick & Wally’s friendship as kids, Dick learning how to lead a team while still being a sidekick. Having all the “popular” members all show up in the first movie will be cluttered and confusing. We never had a show/movie exclusively about the OG team, and that makes me sad because more and more people don’t understand that without that roster, we wouldn’t have gotten the new titans. The sequel can introduce the new members: Cyborg, Beast Boy, Starfire, Raven. How I would do it is have the OG team train the new titans, and by the 3rd movie, Robin, who’s now Nightwing, will unify the old and new teams and be the leader of 1 cohesive team.
Kool idea. Unfortunately in this day and age of "representation", if they went with that lineup then you can guarantee race swapped characters, which I'm tired of.
@@NavySharkz unfortunately you’re right. It’s probably gonna be Wally, due to him being a ginger, which is weird. White gingers get race swapped more than anyone, and it sucks
You could also just have Cyborg, Beast Boy, Star Fire, Raven and a couple other young heroes have another team like the Outsiders, Young Justice, or a completely new team, have Robin be the one that unites the 2 sides, and out of that the Titans are formed. If you want to keep the cast small, you can send a few away and just say they went to form the Titans East. Robin should be the one to bring the 2 groups together to pay homage to him being a member of both the OG team and the more popular one, but also to show how his work with Batman had put him in contact with so many different heroes, and their sidekicks that everyone kinda knows and respects him, have his relationship with Starfire also help bridge the gap between the two teams, and they save the day together against whatever threat they're facing and by the end of S1 the Titans are formed. S2, Dick becomes Nightwing, impressed by how far Dick has come, Batman decides to send Tim Drake to be mentored by Dick feeling that Dick will probably be a better mentor for Tim than he can, and that's how you introduce Batman taking on Jason Todd, do the whole Starfire/Blackfire invasion plotline, the titans over come it, and also welcome new members into their ranks that helped fight off the invasion, one of them being Terra. S3, Judas Contract.
Robin was literally my favorite Teen Titans character when I was a kid. I always did love the characters from a superhero team that were human. Probably explains Hawkeye from The Avengers. Also…..what the f- Did they just seriously have the fucking TITANS literally pull that type of prank on Robin probably KNOWING what happened to his parents?!!!! What the fuck?!!! That aside……Nightwing death in Harley Quinn gotta be worst then Donna Troy if you can actually believe it. Probably annoys me slightly more because unlike Titans, Harley Quinn was actually a pretty decent show. Also I grew up with Teen Titans. Deathstroke will always be a Titans villain to me.
Harley Quinn has as yet to turn a profit for DC be it comics, games, shows or movies. They need to give up on her and Suicide Squad. Titans were once DC’s biggest team book and has been neglected. Even the actual comic book Young Justice tram with Tim, Bart and Conner should be adapted. I want them to start with the original 5 Titans: Dick, Donna, Roy, Garth and Wally
Stan Lee roughly stated he hated the concept of Robin because it was a corporate idea of "kids relating to superheroes" however the problem was....KIDS ALREADY RELATED TO THE ADULT SUPERHEROES!! Teen Titans was one of the few examples of being able to break out of this mold (from the various comic runs and the 2000's cartoon) then DC Comics decided to nuke the team's history with the New 52. Now with DC a complete mess with both narcissistic activists and corporate goons ruining everything......at least there is My Hero Academia.
I’m surprised with all the 2000s nostalgia going around, the fact that tt go is still the longest running superhero show, and now they being pushed in the comics you WOULD think dc would do more with the titans
Listen, something about Damian Wayne as part of the teen titans just never felt right. Also I'm gonna need them to not de-age half the team (like in the DCAMU) to make him seem like he fits in. Lineup I wanna see: Wally, Beast Boy, Nightwing, Raven, Starfire, Cyborg, Donna. Pleaseeeeee!
That is uniquely the point of Damian's Titans books. Damian just came off as "little brother trying way too hard to impress his big brother's friends" who were not amused. This is also implied by Wonder Girl (Cassie) in the Super Sons movie...and when Starfire and Raven tried to correct Damian about it in the books? Damian said to Starfire "you can't do that, I'm Robin" and accused Raven of being a darker version of Bette Kane...sure she did have a crush, but not that bad. This guy is the definition of "does not play well with others...mostly." Even when Damian had Emiko, Ace, Roundhouse, Crush and Djinn...he never really got along with them either. Crush is now in the Holiday Girls and is a friend of Power Girl and Omen. Ace started his own tean in Speed Force with Conner, Avery and Roundhouse and Emiko is both YJSA and Neo-7SV with Courtney where she fits much better. Damian is the type of kid who fits better with legendary superkids who are expected to take up the cape one day. We see he's great with Jon, and some flash forwards with Lizzie are alright, but really what they should have done during the Super Sons run? Jon, Damian, Jason. There you have a big 3 boys club. Superboy, Robin, Wonderous Boy later use Superman, Batman, Argonaut...and essentially make them like superpowered versions of the Brady Boys. Jon- Bobby Jason- Greg Damian- Peter
DCU making the same mistake again of following what's in the comics and going way too far ahead already. Damian Wayne the last robin? After Dick, Jason and Tim?

10:15 es raro que warner trato de convertir al escuadrón suicida en los teen titans en las películas y a los teen titans en el escuadrón suicida en su serie live action
In comics the main problem now is that they've been written by Tom Taylor. DC tried to replace the JL (to the point that nowadays we don't even have a JL book) with the Titans but left the book in the hands of a guy that wants them to deal with climate change instead of threats like Deathstroke or Doctor Light. The fact is that i don't see why DC actively tries to shoot itself in the foot, just keep both of the books: - use the JL for big storylines against world/universe ending threats like Despero, Dr.Destiny or Doomsday (basically a book that will feel like a continuous series of events for the scale of its stories) - a Titans book with less powerful threats but more focused on the dynamic between the various members And why not, give a book to the JSA too. After all if DC can publish so many shitty Batman books nobody is interested in why not more team books?
And yet the Titans were never really meant to be a "deal with smaller large-scale threats" group ever. Them running into supervillains just kinda happened...they were meant as a community-oriented team from the start. It's been referenced since Death Metal by Donna. The whole group was her idea in the first place and she never intended it to turn into what's effectively the JLA Jr. and keeping them in the shadow of the league...which digusts everyone on the team, even if Wally is the least disgusted by it he still really doesn't like being in the league's shadow anymore than anyone else. Taylor is just taking them back to their roots and letting them break away from the league's shadow. The JSA book? It's there, but it's been subject to delays a lot and almost over. If you wanted a young heroes taking on smaller big threats team? That's more Courtney's department with the Young Justice Society division of the JSA. Remember the fundemental difference between Courtney's team and and Donna's team. Courtney's team are the kids who want to be the next generation of the classics. Donna's team is the group who wants to do their own thing. If the new younger heroes change the mission to take care of their own back yard first, then they can actually work toward the Legion of Superheroes future properly...this is also how Wonder Woman started out, but now she's moved on to just regular superheroics most of the time and very rarely gets to do anything community oriented except when her traditional villains like Cheetah, Giganta or Blue Snowman show up. There's more than enough "takes on traditional" heroes out there. Let Jon Kent and the Titans do their own thing where they are more community oriented than just another "beat up the monsters" crew. It keeps them both out of the league's shadow.
What book have you even read lol? Where did they fight climate change in Taylor's book? That literally hasn't happened. The only thing they did is in their free time they replanted a forest so they can restore the wildlife there. Meantime they literally saved the entire world from a conquerer and solved a murder mystery. Don't know where they fight climate change. Also what's the point of fighting Deathstroke or Doctor Light when they have fought them countless of times already? And there literally is a JSA book going right now that was written by Geoff Johns.
@@detectivebrown6211 he's not the worst writer out there or the core of the Titans' problems it's just a lot of his mainstream stories tend to meander plot wise (look at his Nightwing where Dick is finally doing something about a serial killer who has been active since his run started) and seemingly coast on fan service, pretty art, and throw in some social issues regardless of how well they are handled.
Keep in mind, Batman faced a similar issue back in 66, when everyone thought of Adam West (poor comparison, i know) rather than what dennis O'Neil did. So its possible for teen titans to make a comeback
Sad thing is the reason teen titans go is pulling in so much money is that the writers don’t need to try. They don’t need to put any effort into storymaking and character development when one of the team members can be shot out into a acid volcano on another planet or something in one episode, and then be fine and present in the next. I’ve always disliked shows like these but it’s so much worse that it’s teen titans. It’s so sad that we’re getting more and more shows like these, and the few that we do get that have stories and character development are mostly too busy with shoving agendas in them.
I gave up TTG since 2015 or 16 but I have to wonder if they have any good episodes because a show that's lasted a decade now has to have been doing SOMETHING right.
It has some good episodes, mainly when it actually tries to parody something, when it isn't it's bad. The show was just meant to pander to little kids, and it worked. Its only now kids aren't watching any more.
DC has a gift that even Marvel honestly can't get over DC with. It's sad how DC wastes this awesome opprounity to development young heroes for the non-comic fans to grow with.
You're telling me the actual mainline teenage super hero team isn't in one of the dozens of X-Books? Unless you're going to argue they all cancel themselves out competing for the same space I don't believe you!
It's funny that you mention Jack Brewer in a Teen Titans video 'cause Leo Howard has always been my dream pick to play Dick Grayson. Probably not gonna happen in the main DCU now because he's almost as old as David Corenswet, but I think he could absolutely kill it.
I doubt this might happen but I would think it would be a good idea for the teen titans of the James Gunn’s DCU, to be based around the Geoff John’s run from 2003-2011. I think it would be a good middle ground because you can introduce Cyborg, Starfire, Beast Boy, and Raven and since this is an established universe, you could easily establish the NTT and even the five fab era and you could introduce Donna, Wally, Roy, and Garth. Not only that but it would also be a good way to introduce Tim Drake Red Robin, Conner Kent Superboy, Bart Allen as Impulse or Kid Flash, and Cassie Sandsmarks Wondergirl, and you could also establish their young justice era introduced characters like Arrowette, Secret, Empress, Slobo, and Spoiler. And another good reason why GJ run would be good is that like the run itself you can introduce new young heroes to the team like Blue Beetle, Kid Devil, Ravager, Bunker, Miss Martian, Ace West Kid Flash, and even Damian Wayne Robin. I know that they may not do that cuz I heard rumors that it would be based off the rebirth run, but I think GJ run would fit perfectly with James’ DCU.
The fact we NEVER got a Wonder Woman series when she's apart of the DC Trinity is a SIN😭. And with the current Hollywood climate I do NOT trust that adaptation having GOOD writing🙃
I really dont understand why people hate Damian so much THAT IS LITERALLY HIS CHARACTER. when we first meet him he's supposed to be this arrogant, impulsive, bratty asshole and its like people dont read comics and he literally grows as a character and becomes less arrogant and bratty and you can CLEARLY see that if you people read comics and when alfred died.
My favorite part of DC comics has always been the young heroes. Teen Titans, Hawk and Dove, Firestorm and Shazam were my favorite titles and Young Justice was my favorite animated series. The Titans are a a very under utilized part of the DC family.
The only thing they got right with that crap for suicide squad movie was Harley Quinn’s costume. It’s a shame that Teen Titans is still getting poorly treated.
I wish there was project with Nightwing, The Flash, Tempest, Donna Troy and Arsenal. I am so tired of Damien being on Titans books. Let him make a team with Supersons.
They had a serious missed opportunity in 2017-2019 with Super Sons to make a Big 3 Boys Club. Jon and Damian were there, but why didn't they ever let Jason Prince get in on the action? I mean it could make a nice trio there...because you essentially get A Male Lois with Kryptonian Superpowers A Male Talia with Bat-Prep Time (even though Damian insists he's Bruce Junior, he acts way more like Talia then he cares to admit) and an Argonaut boy.
One of my good friends is 6 years younger than me. For the most part we reminisce over the same nostalgic things, but the only time we’ve had a generational divide was when I realized that she grew up with Teen Titans Go, and not the original like I did.
If WBS/DC wants to focus on villains. Can we get a series about the Rougue’s? They are the most interesting group of villains in DC for they give themselves rules to follow. Such as no killing, no in fighting among themselves, and no drugs. They may be criminals, but they do have standards
As soon as i heard Robin say "F*ck Batman" in the trailer, i checked out. Just another Edgy CW style teen soap opera. What an absolute waste of time amd resources.
That’s what I had to do for Jason. I’m under the belief that titans was gonna be the first and only time we ever get a live action jason Todd. And they fucked it up.
Let's be honest the OG series isn't the best, I love the show but that isn't the Teen Titans from the comic books. To this day we haven't gotten an accurate depiction of the Teen Titans. Don't forget they were DC's biggerst selling comic book and rivaled the X-Men in the 80's but DC did something in the 90's that severely knee-capped them and their just not selling as they were in the 80's.
I always skipped teen titans growing up so TTG was the first time I had actually watched them. Going back and watching the og series and seeing how different robin was treated was so weird.
My boy beast boy needs his time I get it he's mostly a gag character and he's really funny but he's potentially one of the strongest characters in the Titans and he is the only one that is unkillable by normal means
Personally for me dc seriously needs to give the teen titans another chance that’s a lot more serious because a lot of people myself included love the titans and seeing them be adapted for another animated movie on the big screen would be really awesome 😎 and badass in my opinion.

Young Justice was the perfect successor to Teen Titans 2003 but they did that 5 year gap between seasons 1 and 2 and just broke up the original team
Yea missing out on seeing robin transition into night wing is criminal. So much beef happened within the bat family during that period.
The time skip was so unnecessary and legitimately killed any overarching plot without it being weirdly complex
Personally I don’t think it was the perfect successor because for me young Justice will always be Tim, Kon, Bart and Cassie but they replaced three of the core members with other characters like Dick, Wally and M’Gann which I really don’t like
Teen titians has so much potential. Honestly it sucks that DC is using the sucide squad way more often.

It's sort of like what Nicklodeon do with Spongebob Cartoon Network consistently had it on their lineup especially marathons and it was heavily marketed especially on social media as it came out during the at a time where social media had taken over making it easier to reach a wider audience

The show was made to pander to little kids and it unfortunately worked. It worked to the point where they were airing it like crazy and taking other action shows and making them "comedies". All while getting rid of action shows because kids weren't buying the toys. That would be nice, but after all these years, I'm not holding my breath for it.
I said it before on a previous video of yours and I'll say it again here:
After reading the 80's era of the Teen Titans, I loved it.
You've got:
-Ruining Donna Troy's backstory multiple times
-Killing off Lian Harper and removing Roy Harper's intelligence in the New52
-Removing Beast Boy's intelligence and maturity
-Killing off Tempest (aka Aqualad 1) during the Darkest Night Event
-In the New52, 'promoting' Cyborg to the Justice League... at the expense of his entire Titans' history (seriously when Wally got promoted, his history didn't get erased. It was part of his character)
-Making Raven evil... again (right now in the comics, her evil side has control again. FOR THE FIFTH TIME!)
-And Starfire, oh god, Starfire.
I feel you. Reading the 80's era it felt like Lilith and Kole were being backdoored into Wonder Woman support character roles.

Donna and Cassie also both appear in Teen Titans Go (2003, not modern) comics though.
@@rhesaparis5543Donna haven’t been wonder girl since the 80s it been Cassie ever since. But new 52 made it confusing by introducing a new wonder girl while Cassie was still under thr mantle

@@D3fault16 It "flew over" most people's heads because it doesn't make sense.

In my opinion, the original 5 members need to be shown first:
Robin, Kid Flash, Red Arrow, Aqualad, Wonder Girl.
The sequel can introduce the new members:
Cyborg, Beast Boy, Starfire, Raven.
How I would do it is have the OG team train the new titans, and by the 3rd movie, Robin, who’s now Nightwing, will unify the old and new teams and be the leader of 1 cohesive team.

This guy is the definition of "does not play well with others...mostly."
Even when Damian had Emiko, Ace, Roundhouse, Crush and Djinn...he never really got along with them either.
Jon- Bobby
Jason- Greg
Damian- Peter
DCU making the same mistake again of following what's in the comics and going way too far ahead already. Damian Wayne the last robin? After Dick, Jason and Tim?
@@ondururagittandeska2004 well Superman is set during JLI years so earlier than previous, but the Damian thing is likely because they don't want to be mentioning adopted.
@@Superlad9494 Which then makes Damian's inclusion even less sense. Why does WB hate Dick Grayson? He's just been pushed to the sidelines and just abused by modern writers.
@@ondururagittandeska2004 if we're using JLI though, it should be Jason.
4:38 I agree with this part. Real talk Robin is the only one truly with a secret identity.
10:15 es raro que warner trato de convertir al escuadrón suicida en los teen titans en las películas y a los teen titans en el escuadrón suicida en su serie live action
1:27 AHHH THE CRINGE IT HURTS
In comics the main problem now is that they've been written by Tom Taylor.
DC tried to replace the JL (to the point that nowadays we don't even have a JL book) with the Titans but left the book in the hands of a guy that wants them to deal with climate change instead of threats like Deathstroke or Doctor Light.
The fact is that i don't see why DC actively tries to shoot itself in the foot, just keep both of the books:
- use the JL for big storylines against world/universe ending threats like Despero, Dr.Destiny or Doomsday (basically a book that will feel like a continuous series of events for the scale of its stories)
- a Titans book with less powerful threats but more focused on the dynamic between the various members
And why not, give a book to the JSA too.
Imagine thinking the problem is Tom Taylor like he won't come and leave like any other writer 😂

You're 💯 right
5:06 made me laugh. I remember thinking how Starfire talked was funny
I need Tim to lead another TT team; he's underrated and DC has treated him terribly for like the past decade.
Keep in mind, Batman faced a similar issue back in 66, when everyone thought of Adam West (poor comparison, i know) rather than what dennis O'Neil did. So its possible for teen titans to make a comeback
If they took the style from puss and boots and across the spider verse and make it into a teen titans movie id genuinely think dc is back.
4:30 I do love Teen Titans Robin, but I also LOVE YJ Season 1 Robin ❤❤
I wish that they'd make a Teen Titans cartoon following the OG Roster with the Fab Five and Supergirl with Starfire joining later.
No thanks. That lineup got canceled for a reason
@@JUANxxTNAFAN yeah, cause they grew up.
Rerunning it nearly 24/7 on CN's TV and plus it's VERY cheap compared to other shows
It has some good episodes, mainly when it actually tries to parody something, when it isn't it's bad. The show was just meant to pander to little kids, and it worked. Its only now kids aren't watching any more.
There's the night begins to shine specials.
The S2-3 of the live action Titans show is singlehandedly the worst superhero show of all time probably only rivalled by season 7 of The Flash
Robin was gonna turn into the joker bro 5:52
How the OG voice actors came back or TTG is mind boggling.
He's been a fan cast for years as far as I know
"Its one of the shows ever made" had me dead broo

I’m only excited for the Young Avengers in the MCU if they have Wiccan, Hulking, Speed, and Patriot. Those are NECESSARY!
Another W vid from the goat 🐐 you always be speaking FAX, such a shame we got a SSKITJL game before a teen titans game, like COME ON !!!
I aint know Slade got down like that in the comics. I thought it was just the movies and shows.
1:42 when you say it that way nothing but facts when it comes to teenage superheroes DC has marvel beat imo
The fact we NEVER got a Wonder Woman series when she's apart of the DC Trinity is a SIN😭. And with the current Hollywood climate I do NOT trust that adaptation having GOOD writing🙃
We really need a great animated titans show adapting comics well and fixing plot issues
NGL, I rocked with the Young Avengers back in the day, and more recently the Champions. I Definitely think they deserve a chance.
Robin in Teen titans and young justice legitimately was him. Bro was ice cold and was funny as hell too
I really dont understand why people hate Damian so much THAT IS LITERALLY HIS CHARACTER. when we first meet him he's supposed to be this arrogant, impulsive, bratty asshole and its like people dont read comics and he literally grows as a character and becomes less arrogant and bratty and you can CLEARLY see that if you people read comics and when alfred died.
My favorite part of DC comics has always been the young heroes. Teen Titans, Hawk and Dove, Firestorm and Shazam were my favorite titles and Young Justice was my favorite animated series. The Titans are a a very under utilized part of the DC family.
12:03 “keep your hands of my woman undstand me” -meliodas
The only thing they got right with that crap for suicide squad movie was Harley Quinn’s costume. It’s a shame that Teen Titans is still getting poorly treated.
They need to bring back the OG Teen Titans cartoon like Marvel made X-Men 97.
I loved ttg i didn’t realize it was so hated 😭
Fans: "Give us season 6!"
WB: "No" proceeds to greenlight another season of Go!
6:31 so is the OG series 😭😭😭
1:43 why can’t we have an animated series adapting the 2000’s comics and an animated film adapting titans of tomorrow
The joke about his parents is crazy
I wish there was project with Nightwing, The Flash, Tempest, Donna Troy and Arsenal.
I am so tired of Damien being on Titans books. Let him make a team with Supersons.
They had a serious missed opportunity in 2017-2019 with Super Sons to make a Big 3 Boys Club.
Jon and Damian were there, but why didn't they ever let Jason Prince get in on the action? I mean it could make a nice trio there...because you essentially get
A Male Lois with Kryptonian Superpowers
A Male Talia with Bat-Prep Time (even though Damian insists he's Bruce Junior, he acts way more like Talia then he cares to admit)
and an Argonaut boy.
Teen Titans and Young Justice going up against Young Avengers lmaaaoo MCU is cooked
M Enterprises: What was batman feeding this kid

One of my good friends is 6 years younger than me. For the most part we reminisce over the same nostalgic things, but the only time we’ve had a generational divide was when I realized that she grew up with Teen Titans Go, and not the original like I did.
If WBS/DC wants to focus on villains. Can we get a series about the Rougue’s?
They are the most interesting group of villains in DC for they give themselves rules to follow. Such as no killing, no in fighting among themselves, and no drugs.
They may be criminals, but they do have standards
Hay rumores de una película de ellos ojalá fuera algo estilo oceans eleven
I never wanted to force myself to like a show more than Titans just because Tim Drake is in the show 😭💀

Robin’s aura and rizz in the OG TT is UNMATCHED
They need to add blue beetle to the teen titans he’d fit in perfectly
My boy beast boy needs his time I get it he's mostly a gag character and he's really funny but he's potentially one of the strongest characters in the Titans and he is the only one that is unkillable by normal means
Personally for me dc seriously needs to give the teen titans another chance that’s a lot more serious because a lot of people myself included love the titans and seeing them be adapted for another animated movie on the big screen would be really awesome 😎 and badass in my opinion.
Unironically my favorite DC TH-camr right now, love the vids
