    O’G coined that term I believe. I’ve heard a few others talk to it.
    Keep up the good work. Solid advice!

      Yes you're absolutely right strained chains. Its something that is very seldom talked about and i thought it needed to be. Thanks for watching

      I’ve heard Andy Weiser talk of it a little and have also seen something similar in Paul Trepes’ wolf trapping videos. I’d say you covered it exceptionally well. I need a dog now after seeing yours puck the flat set location 🤣

      Have you watched my dogs on the line video? It'll make you wonder why you don't use a dog

    • @strainedchains3389
      @strainedchains3389 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have!
      The only reason I currently don’t is my wife would probably kill me if I brought a dog home right now. 3 pets is enough. I’m going to take my chances the next time one particular coyote man I know has his next litter of kemmers

    Great information Dale,,yeah I totally agree, there have been times I put out as many as 4 sets in a single location,cause I felt it needed it. Coyotes don't always travel alone,sometime three ,four or five. Great video. I have for fact been the one that said I never set just one but at least two sets,but that was to get guys to thinking,set more than one set!! Yeah setting one set is a big mistake and set what the location needs,thanks

    Awesome advice. Never had a name for it, but I've caught 3 in one location in a single night where I had 5 sets made. "Insane moment," has a good ring to it.

    You are correct all across the board.
    With a lot of sign in a area
    I'll put in 4-7 traps. if possible, put just out of site of each other. Love them 4s n triples.
    Good job Mr Dale.
    How about a viedo on trapping beavers that has blown out a pond, lowered the water level n still living their. Kind of a reverse situation.

    Sound advice and more so with canines I have always figured that it took a few days for my scent to disperse so why not try to make as many years sets as possible and then let them hunt.

      @billingsleybrandtrappinglu1531  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes sir Dave. I treat otter and coyotes the same. I can pick the place they pick the time. Thanks for watching these videos I appreciate it

    Another very good lesson there. I can see your point especially with gas prices being high. I don't have to drive further than 17miles to the ground I'm on. Thats my furthest property. But good info to retain on the blanket setting. Sometimes I do set a little light in an area. Usually because I'm over thinking the setting area's I was goingbto place a trap. LOL THANKS Dale, always good information and appreciate you donating your time/money to make these videos.

    This reminds me of when I got my 2 coydog puppies in the past . One was in the coyote set and his brother was staying with him . I kept the 2 of them . The vet said they were about 6 1/2 weeks old at the time. Many years ago.

  • @jamespeshak5058

    Thanks Dale for the advice I had no idea that Coyotes travel in that big of packs. I always thought there were usually between 2-4 in a pack.

    • @billingsleybrandtrappinglu1531
      @billingsleybrandtrappinglu1531  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually thats whats there James yes. But again if you only have 1-2 sets there and 3 or 4 come through you missed out on an opportunity. Thanks for watching

    • @jamespeshak5058
      @jamespeshak5058 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@billingsleybrandtrappinglu1531 well I’m already having ideas for how I’m gonna set my grounds up. Definitely gonna use some step down dirt holes and several hole in tree sets along the river because theirs lots of timber and brush and trails the length of the river.

    Dale I got bored of using trail cameras for deer and started putting them on creek crossings, beaver trails etc. got all kinds of crazy stuff including a pair of coyotes that ran a small buck into a creek trying to kill him. Got a bobcat crossing a tree. Several fox just running around like idiots. You’re right when they get their blood up they’re liable to do anything I wish I had put some coyote sets in that creek wash instead of being keyed in on just raccoon
