I want to go to a trapping convention. When and where will one be held close by Illinois?
It was this past weekend in Decatur Kevin. Next year it'll be in Lincoln. Send me a friend request on Facebook and I can add you to my group. There you'll be able to keep up on when and where the conventions are. Thank you for watching
@@billingsleybrandtrappinglu1531 I’m not on facebook
But I will be.
Very nice shirt Dale!! My compliments to the wardrobe dept. Lots of other set variations but yours is just as good as they come....... the mike
Thank you for watching Mike. I appreciate you
👍🏻
Thank you Mr. Kevin
Never thought to place the bucket upright. That’s brilliant! Thanks Dale, adding another one to the “toolbox.”
I appreciate you watching all these videos Mitch. Thank you
Scrolling thru your otter library getting educated on sets. Haven’t targeted them before, but feeling better about my chances with every video! As always appreciate all your posts. Stay safe out there.
I'm glad to hear that Mitch. Thank you for watching them
Another good one, definitely putting the three hole set to work this season. Thanks, stay safe out there.
I appreciate you watching Mitch. Thank you
Sometimes you just can’t fix stupid!!
That's right Jim
Dale, I'm a little late watching this one but it's another great looking set. Thank you for sharing it.
Thank you for watching Ron.
Another great video, do you have a email or some way of contacting you? I would love to get information on how you want things shipped, and be able to contact you to see if I have anything at the end of the season that you might want. Thank you for another informative video.
Patrick first of all thank you for watching. Second my email is dalebillingsley80@gmail.com Always looking for fox, coyote, bobcat anal glands and bladders as well as beaver castor and oil sacs too..
Good video sir, thanks for the info and all that you do
Thank you Patrick. I appreciate you watching too
Very nice Thanks for the video
Max thank you for watching
Very cool Dale. I'm stuck in a snare-only State when it comes to targeting coon, fox and coyote and I am thinking about trying this setup with snares. I have had success in the past with fox and one coyote by making a carcass pile of breasted out Canada geese. I would wait to see where they would approach from and snare the trails leading to the pile. Snow was a real help with that but we haven't had much of that the last few years. Our rules are no bait within thirty feet of a snare set, unless it is not visible from above. Your set would meet that standard. Thanks for putting this out there !! Scott
great video
Thank you. I appreciate you watching too
Sounds like a good idea to me
Kenneth it's a great old set. Thank you for watching
I like that set dale. I bet it will track the buzzards also. Won't that also make maggots I thought the animals won't eat rotten meat I have the best thing I have a placenta From a black Angus birth Today I put it in the freezer to knock down the smell . I was going to wake bait with it.
You're worried about things that don't need worried about Chip. Put the set in and catch the fur.
That's a pretty neat set. I'm gonna try that this year. Thanks for sharing that Dale.
Thank you for watching it Tucker
That’s a great set dale I have one in same spot for about five yrs put scraps in all yr it’s like a bomb went off there
It is a fantastic set Timothy. Thank you for watching
Goodun
I'm guilty of both !
Thank you David. We all are buddy
👍👍👍👍 thanks. Dale
Thank you for watching Mr. Melvin
Yes Sir I’ll be trying this set. Thanks Dale
You'll like it if you use it Don. Thank you for watching
So are you saying to put the hole with scraps in it then cover it up without putting the trap in? To get them used to it for a while??
Yes Just Me.
👍🏻😎🇺🇸
Thank you for watching Sonny
Thanks Dale! I enjoy watching you do demos of these types of sets that were used in the past and seem to be forgotten by the mainstream these days. Thanks for keeping the past alive!
I appreciate you Peter. Thank you for watching
I like it my friend!
It's deadly Mark. Thank you for watching
Love the set making videos thanks dale
Thank you for watching Jeffrey
Pretty neat. Gonna give it a shot. I got a bunch of your lures from Cumberland s. Can’t wait to try em out
I appreciate you watching and for purchasing my products too Christopher. Thank you
Thats a good one! Thanks Dale!!
I appreciate you watching PopPop. Thank you
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Thank you Creek Bottom Trapper
Cool idea thanks
Thank you for watching Paul
Great idea never really thought of a set like that. Thanks for the video. Dale will fresh bait work allowing it to rot at the set?
You can use fresh bait Brian but as the weather turns colder it's going to take it longer to taint. That's we use tainted loud bait in the beginning
Thanks Dale for the info
Thank you for watching John. I appreciate you
That set works great in snow also an oldie but a goody
Yes it does work great any time of year dead north. Thank you for watching
Wonderful information. Thank you.
Matthew I appreciate you watching
That set has always been very productive for me. Great info Dale, thank you
Thank you for watching Johnny Ringo
A very simple set . Yes a old set . Forgot about. Thanks .
The old ways can still be the best ways sometimes Paul. Thank you for watching
@@billingsleybrandtrappinglu1531 Yes that is some of the ways I learn from .
It's nice to see an old school set. I kind of forgot about that one. Thank you for the flash back
You're welcome Jeff. Thank you for watching
Great advise Dale, thank you for sharing it.
Thank you for watching it Ron.
Great set can’t wait to try why would you want to deal with live beaver every set ? Thanks
Live Beaver do not tip off the rest of the colony Zippy like dead ones do
I am wanting to try snares for beaver this year and really appreciated the video and like your content a ton. I do have a question though, do cables cause more damage to the fur than traditional 330s. I have used 330s and castor mounds in the past but due to the weight and backing it up into swamps and creeks was thinking about trying to use more cables this year. What are your thoughts? Thanks again and keep up the great work!
Adam it's all in the size and type of cable you use plus the lock you use. I prefer 7x7 5/64 or 1x19 5/64 both with cam locks and a swivel right behind the lock at the desired loop size. Then I like 7 ft of 3/32 7x7 cable for the tail.
My first fox traps were #2 double long. That was back in 74. I never had a problem with a long spring trap of any kind letting go of an animal.
They usually latch on pretty good Big Buds. Thank you for watching
Hey Dale,I'm going to keep beating the gang setting into my head like using an old roadkill coon.Keep doing it until somthing sticks!!Safe travels to next convention and give Timber a bite of tenderloin😅😅
As usual great info, Thanks Dale!!!!
I appreciate you watching Don. Thank you
Professor Dale..."not much in todays video" proceeds to give the most sound and solid advise there is. Absolutely love the content Dale, appreciate ya!
Johnny Ringo I sincerely appreciate you. Thank you for watching
GREAT ADVICE!! When I make a set at a "micro location", I go by "If it's good enough for 1 set, it's good enough for 4". And it WORKS! Say it's a coyote/fox location. One set is a BIG, LOUD dirthole. One is a urine post with urine, one may be a urine post with no urine and one is a flat set. And my flat set may have a lure that you would never think to use for K9s :)
You're absolutely right on track Pensnut. Thank you for watching
Thanks Dale great info!
Thank you PopPop for taking the time to watch
Thanks for sharing Dale! See ya in a few days in Illinois!
Thank you for watching Mark. See you soon
Amen Dale , well said.
I appreciate you Mike. Thank you for watching

Thank you so much Sonny
Got to love when you say you don't much for us today but then dish out some really solid, good advice that's packed with info. Thank you!
I'm glad to hear that Mike cuz most times it doesn't seem like much to me. Thank you for watching
You Explained it well Dale , As always .
