@@essextrails Thanks for all your positive and encouraging comments. I have loved reliving this tour through the videos, although I think the editing took longer than the riding. I have more material to edit from earlier in the summer so I hope there will be more to come; those tours were filmed without the drone and on a camera with less good stabilisation but there was beautiful countryside so I hope that will make up for the lower quality! Thanks again. ATB!

Such a nice end to a wonderful trip, which was very enjoyable to watch. I think the scenery perhaps eclipsed the first SLOTHO trip and your filmmaking and storytelling brought out the best of it. For me, the take-away message is, as Nike say, 'Just do it!' - there are always plenty of reasons to stay home in comfort rather than undertaking a journey such as this, but the decision to go is seldom regretted later. Well done on completing another epic adventure!

@@davidwalsh566 I am really glad you enjoyed watching it. I have loved re-viewing it myself, but then they are my memories. I have tried to capture a little of what each day meant to me (through my trivial comments which are often based on the rather inane thoughts that cross my mind while plodding along) and to present a visual record of the trip for others to enjoy. The scenery hugely exceeded my expectations, and to be honest so did my body! The route was a testament to the hard work of the people who have created the National Cycling Network and to the people who have operate the routing programmes such as cycle.travel - between them they did nearly all the planning for my trip.
Your quote from Nike is spot on! I have gradually accumulated cycling kit, but the most vital piece of tech for a trip is the front door - if it doesn't open then you won't get anywhere, and when you shut it behind you the opportunities can become realities, the obstacles become challenges to overcome and the reward is memories instead of dreams! This tour could be done on any reliable bike, and thanks to the YHA the cost is low and you need to take little equipment beyond a spare tube and a toothbrush (ok... a credit card helps - especially if you decide half-way to retreat home like I did).
Thanks for watching again and for commenting. I really appreciate it! ATB.

@@davidharris4062 Thanks. I do still have a lot of material in the pipeline; it might be rather a long pipe though! Thanks for commenting and for watching this adventure!

You came down that miners track nearly as fast as your age and that's fast. Nice to see the Welsh men's girlfriends mowing the grass 🤣. Another great journey over hopefully more to come. 👍

@@johnm-wv6bo Thank you. I'm not sure my tyres are rated for speeds equal to my age, but maybe one day I will find out for real (that WOULD be scary)! I hope there will be more journeys to come if the knees permit - I do have some plans! I've also got a disk full of video to edit from some earlier tours last summer which I'm really hoping to get edited over the winter. Thank you very much for watching and commenting on my videos of this trip; I have enjoyed your remarks and look forward to more of the same! ATB!

@ I was going to ask about your tour abroad if you had edited any yet, looking forward to more videos from you.♥

@johnm-wv6bo The European trip is so big I have been procrastinating in favour of some smaller things which I think I did a better job of filming. But I am determined to get it all done if I can, as I love watching back the awesomely wonderful times I have had on my bike recently. Thanks for asking!

@@RAsadventures-zr1ge wish we had all the video cameras when we were young and doing crazy things but sadly not, just a few photos to remind me how fit i once was.

@johnm-wv6bo I sympathise. A lot of things I did in my youth are only recorded on faded photos, if at all (cos film was expensive) - and the quality of those was far less than modern digital stuff. On my trip to Spain a couple of years ago I was rather touched when a cafe proprietor hobbled over to a cupboard and pulled out some old, well thumbed photos of himself, many years ago, doing cycle races on what looked like a road bike, along the same sort of dirt tracks I had been rattling along on my MTB. He was massively outdoing anything I ever had achieved, but I felt so lucky that I was still able to keep going, and also that with so few words of each others languages I had been able to form a connection with him through those black and white pictures.
