    Great weapon. Had one over a year now and I love this gun . Have not encountered any problems with different brand of ammo . Best gun ever and I own several 9mm , several .22 and several 1911 . Loved your take down .easy to understand .

    Thanks much. I just picked up my new PMR-30 here and was going nuts trying to get out the breakdown pin. I followed the manual instructions explicitly. Apparently, at the manufacturer assembly, they put the pin in reverse side to how they show it in the manual. I am now aware it can be put back in after assembly from either side of the weapon. I put it back in the way it is suppose to be, just the same. Very good demonstration video here, with several good reminders. I love the gun generally speaking, but being a Glock advocate, and former LE Officer who carried one for 25 years, this PMR-30 is a tad dainty and temperamental. Where it was drilled into me in training to Never baby a Glock, treating this PMR-30 like a lady, I am confident, will produce best results.

    Excellent video sir. I have a kel-tec PMR 30 as well and I love it. When I first bought mine years ago, your video was the first one I liked over others. Great job.

    Good video and I didn't realize that letting the slide slam forward without a round was bad. I've done it a couple of times, but won't do it again! Totally makes sense though. I shot mine for the first time just a few days ago and it performed perfectly! I loved it! Beautiful trigger! Like butter! I am goind to clean it tomorrow, along with some other guns, and I was hoping to find a good video about how to take it down. Thanks a lot!

    Atually my PMR 30 has the large side of the take down pin on the oppisate sire and it is VERY STIFF to get out.

    mer171,
    I find it best to practice, and go thru instructional infomation, several times BEFORE the actual taping of the video. This allows you to fine tune your train of thought, have an aid ( such as a sharp pencil for pointing out detail, vice a large finger ), and clarification of orientation ( top / bottom of slide vice up / down, muzzle / receiver vice front / rear ) as well as proper nomenclature ( barrel block vice this part ). Thanks, overall, nice video...

    thanks for posting this video!! I hadn't had my hands on one of these in so long I forgot the trick to taking the spring out and this was really thorough and helpful reminding me to get my shit together!! Needed to be taken apart because it was so damn dirty when I got it back finally, and I didn't really pay attention, but it was having a HUGE failure to feed issue. Overall the only problems I have with this weapon is that it's kind of a pain in the butt to load, and it can have failure to feed issues because the magazines I've used are "picky" I guess. Usually I shoot Hornady 30g V-MAX rounds, and they do a great job but It's been hard to get get a full mag without having at least one feeding issue. A good thorough cleaning will help but I'm concerned it won't be enough, I already have to send one magazine back for a replacement because the spring broke. I just don't want to find myself disliking this pistol in the future.

    How would you adjust the sight?

      Windage is adjustable in the front sight. I would assume that there are different height front sights for elevation.

    Dropping a slide on an empty chamber does nothing to damage the lockup. Especially in a rimfire.

    • @mer171
      @mer171  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      not good to drop a slide with zero resistance on a drop barrel. can be bad for lock up and hammer sear engagement. refer to many manuals from various manufactures. Besides what about slamming metal together at that speed for no reason but your entertainment sounds like it doesnt take a toll. show me your gunsmith certification/ resume and we can discuss further...
