I love these swap videos, rather than saying NO and recommending something not similar it gives me something that is what I am craving but in a healthier means.
I LOVE these "eat these/not that" videos. They're so informative and helpful!! I can't remember if I've seen it in the past, but I would love a great protein bar swap. It feels like all the protein bars on the market (that actually taste good) are comparable to a candy bar in terms of fat and calories....but have only like 10g of protein. A "cleaner" tortilla chip that I absolutely LOVE is from the brand Late July Snacks Chia Quinoa chips. They're SOOOOOO good! I get them at Sprouts and Kroger (which I know is a regional grocery store). Thanks for keeping great content!
I've been baby stepping my household into healthier snack options. One small step for chips was buying on the "lightly salted" kind from the big brands. Obviously it still have a lot of those different oils but I was really focused on the sodium intact. A few months later and even my picky husband won't each regular chips anymore because he says they are "too salty" haha
I am trying to cut down on my sugar intake but I don't want to replace sugar with chemical sweeteners. The Killer Ice Cream bars are sweetened with Erythritol.
Totally hear you. It’s nearly impossible to find “perfect”, so depends on your personal needs. Erythritol isn’t my fave, but it is natural and safe. That said, yes can cause digestive issues for some.
I think we are more worried about the newly discovered side effects of erythritol. The hypercoagulation of blood and disruption of the gut microbiome. Sorry, as a working food scientist i needed to be the Debbie Downer!xxx
Same. I just go for agave if I really need some sweet in a yogurt. I worked two years with a nutritionist and she always said don’t do sweeteners for your guts.
Simple Mills chocolate chip cookies are an amazing swap as well. 7g of sugar and that sugar is coconut sugar. Serving size is actually 4. (: they have these at some Walmart and Natural Grocers.
An AMAZING chip swap is natural endurance plant protein chips I got them at Sam's and they are absolutely amazing and nacho chip flavor and it has 10g protein per serving!!
Love these videos, next... i know it's all a vegetable..but potatoes. Which potato is best or worst? Chocolate. Pre-packaged soups. Noodles. Tortillas. Pancake syrup. Cereal. Best and worst meats.
I buy my family most of these swaps and they are kid and parent approved. Simple Mills a great brand for cleaner/healthier swaps. Taste buds do change. I cannot handle artificial sweet flavors anymore. Great video!
Boulder chips! With avocado oil! You saved me, i am trying to cut out my potato chip cravings. And slowly eating more "crunchy" vegetables with healthy dip.
For the granola, my fav replacement is called Keto Granola in the bday cake flavor. It’s all nuts and seeds and coconut flakes and omg it’s amazing over yogurt!!!
That’s the granola I have been eating for several months and it’s so good! I also like that it isn’t super hard like most granolas, it’s easier on my mouth and digestion. 👍🏻
I’d love more swap videos! Specifically healthier meat options, like something better than your regular breakfast sausage. Or just healthier protein options in general :)
I love this kind of videos because of them I can proudly say am aware of the ingredients and being able to switch for healthier options, I been putting cereal on my yogurt as a crunchy topping ( Catalina Crunch) brand is really good I was surprise of th taste and my family gave it a try and they loved it, good to have when you need a little extra something, something. I used to be a sugar person like after a meal I needed something sugar but since I did the sugar detox with your challenge that you had a few years ago, I can now tell when things are very sugary and I just don't like it anymore. Thank you for making this videos they help all of us.
It's really cool to see all these other products that exist that can replace other snacks. I'm not a big snack person but boy when I need to eat between meals, I need something right now and having something quick easy to eat is great. (I don't prep cause it doesn't happen often.) My only complaint is that it's so hard to find these outside the US, I'm in Canada and I go to Europe often but I barely ever see anything that actually has the quality of a real good snack like the ones that can be found in the US. On another note, it's great to have a review of food that's closer to how I taste! I usually find stuff to be too sweet or salty and so I bet her tastes are much closer to mine just based on not numbing your tastebuds with super packed calories/spices/salt/etc.
That’s so interesting to hear! I feel like in general Europe has less processed foods than us, but definitely seeing lots of good new options here. You can still take the same principles and look at the labels of what you do have 🤍
It’s amazing how food tastes when you start eating healthy. The AG1 greens tastes good to slightly sweet and I had someone try it who eats junk a lot, they gagged and said nooo not sweet at all!!
Yes please! I needed this video. My downfall is watching tv bc when I watch tv I need to snack on something. I would love for you to do a video on what to look for in a good protein bar. Protein bars are so full of sugar and I don’t know what’s a good one.
"mindless snacking" yep! been there for sure. Protein bars are 100% going to be an upcoming video, oh my gosh...so many are full of sugar and other ick.
Love your videos. My granddaughter has a peanut and tree nut allergy so my daughter tells me about some of the snacks she likes. One item she was able to get a good substitute for is teddy graham’s. I now only buy Kodiak cake version of teddy graham’s. They have a cinnamon and chocolate version. There pancake/ waffle mix is really good too.
I was going to be proud of myself and say I don't have any of these unhealthy snacks in my apartment...until you got to the Granola. Lol!!! I have that literal Granola right now.
I know! I don't know what to sub with...need to go back to store to see what they'll have to substitute my granola with...I use the quaker oats brand but ran out and purchased another brand that I don't like because it's too sweet ...either way both brands are probably both loaded with sugar! Scared to go to kitchen and look, lol
It's not always affordable to buy healthier options so if you have money then yes, it's a non issue to splurge on the healthier options. I dont WANT to eat unhealthy but sometimes the store brand stuff is all i can afford. Otherwise I'd buy fresh produce every day and healthy snacks every time. Its just expensive to live in 2023 period.
I am with you. However I've been getting some INSANE deals recently from Sprouts and even Whole Foods. It does require looking at the weekly ads to see what's on sale or looking for "specials" but it's so worth it and it's even less expensive than fast food or typically less expensive brands
I totally get the tendency to feel like it’s more expensive, but I’d encourage you to check out my Trader Joe’s haul as an example of how often it’s not the case. Even these swaps were only slightly more or not at all. It does take a bit more work to sort through it, but once you get the brands that are both, it’s a lot easier 🤍
There are “foods” that offer zero nutritional value and are infact bad for our bodies. That’s not my opinion, it’s scientifically true. As I said in the video, many don’t like the stigma of that, which I get, but the reality remains the same.
Thank you for these videos very informative! Would love to learn why you stay away from soy letchin and those certain bad oils? Maybe you can give an explanation on why these common found ingredients in junk snacks are bad! Because I don’t know! :) Tysm!
Definitely! Main reason to avoid them would be because they can be very inflammatory in our bodies. This inflammation can impact all parts of our body and health.
I loved this video! I have 3 kids ranging in ages 2 to 11 years and I want to swap more of my their snacks with the healthier option. I’ve been paying close attention to ingredients the last few months and it is so interesting how bad some of these foods are that I thought were “healthy” and ok to eat. Also, I’m with you on the Chips Ahoy, I never really liked those either. My kids love Oreo’s so I’m on the hunt for a good swap for that. 💕
These kinds of videos are very appreciated! I’m not much of a crunchy person, although I also like the cheddar wisps! I much prefer cake and chocolate candies to just let melt lol. Not sure if you have any better option cake or non-crunchy snack options to recommend.
Thank you soooo very much for this Video ! I can stay Low Carb and Carb Cycling but I can’t eat artificial sweeteners and I have been racking my brain for healthy treats. We all like a sweet now and then !❤

@@LoveSweatFitness coconut milk, silk next milk or almond milk (and only because we don't have any good extracts in Canada where I am) caramel macchiato sugar free syrup. So tasty. I need the dairy free so thank you. ❤️
Granola & nuts are big for my husband & kids. But I secretly cringe & bite my tongue because they think it's healthy let's go to town on it! Without thinking about serving sizes 😬 I've been guilty of grabbing things that have the most protein but now pay attention to the other macros & calories & sugars etc.
I like that you put the good and bad, but the one on the right is very light. i can't read it. Only the one on the left is clear to read. If you're able to fix that, it would be very helpful. Please and thank you. Love your videos
A lot of those chemicals Americans can’t pronounce are just B vitamins. Most of these snacks are empty calories, rather get the ones enriched with b vitamins and balance it with a healthy diet.
I actually got all of the healthy swaps at Alberstons! You should be able to find a similar brand store or even from the same company on east coast, it's one of the most common ones on the west coast.
Hi I try to do the kind of diet you have described in your eating plans and I’m getting better yet I crave treats like cake every day. How can I manage cravings and eat healthy? Thank you
Really good question! Try to not focus on fully cutting out those cravings at first. Make similar swaps to something like super dark chocolate and go from there. There are still delicious sweet treats that are better for your body. 🤍
I think until you've managed to get used to not having a lot of sugar, most of these switches won't be as tasty. Like the wisps, I can't stand the taste of them. I'd rather wrap a cheese string around the fish cracker and eat that. But then again, I don't really eat fish crackers, but I would switch the cookies because I would eat those... a lot. Lol.
Your taste absolutely changes over time not eating processed and sugary foods. That said, all of these are actually really delicious IMO. I'm glad I don't have a taste for the others anymore :)
Can you do healthy ice cream that is good?? I can't find the killer ice cream at my local grocery store. And/ or do you know of healthy ice cream that is good??
I was told by my doctor to stay away from coconut oil and all saturated fats since I have high cholesterol. And, the healthy things that you've named off all has high fats and coconut oil in them. I want to eat healthy, but what healthy foods dont have those things in them that's not fruits and vegetables????
I would very much disagree with that unless you are talking about some natural herbs or something very unusual. In the case of these foods, most are just flat out bad for you.
@@LoveSweatFitness siete have been my go to lately for tortilla chips (love their lime) but I haven’t really been able to find their flavored ones. Will have to keep an eye out

Oh for sure! I did a whole ice cream video awhile back so check that out, but maybe we do desert swaps next? 👀
Wow!!!
High there ❤ this vid ...would like u do a healthy food swap for chocolate 🍫
Yess I do eat chocolate sometimes but very specific type is best. It sounds like we may need a deserts swap vid next
@@LoveSweatFitness Yes that would be good 💚
I prefer dark chocolate (60% or higher) and do not buy the milk chocolate kinds ...isn't dark chocolate just fine and not need a substitute?
Yes ruffles are full of salt
soooo much
I was told by my doctor to stay away from coconut oil and all saturated fats since I have high cholesterol. And, the healthy things that you've named off all has high fats and coconut oil in them. I want to eat healthy, but what healthy foods dont have those things in them that's not fruits and vegetables????
😊😊
Often just because you can’t “read” an ingredient doesn’t mean it’s bad for you.
I would very much disagree with that unless you are talking about some natural herbs or something very unusual. In the case of these foods, most are just flat out bad for you.
👍
Yes healthy snacks but how much are the healthy ones?
They honestly weren't much more than the other snacks in most cases. Some were a bit more expensive, but well worth it if you can budget for it.
I need a healthier swap for Doritos please!
Have you tried Siete chips?
@@LoveSweatFitness siete have been my go to lately for tortilla chips (love their lime) but I haven’t really been able to find their flavored ones. Will have to keep an eye out
You look like a actress like you was suppose to be in a movie
Where did you get the healthy foods? Costco? What about hot cheetos?😅
I actually got all of these at Albertsons! Was awesome to see them available. Oooooh hot cheetos were my first true love :-D
Hot funyons!
Palm oil, not good
french fry swap
that's such a good one, someone else asked about potatoes too, liking this!
@lovesweatfitness, also hashbrowns if you do a potato video! I love the convenience (like refrigerated shreds or frozen patties) but have wondered if there are better or worse options
Love these swap videos!
