    This has helped me more than waiting for 6 months for physio which didn't even explore half of this.

    This was great. I learned multiple things I did not know about the anatomy and mechanics of the spine. I also appreciate the exercises and that you explain each one. Thank you!

      That is so good to know, Mary! I'm glad you were able to learn more about your own spine. I find that knowledge is power and we can make a difference with this kind of info. Thanks for tuning in!

    This is a great video - fixing my thoracic spine feels like it is changing my life without sounding so dramatic, I can finally breathe fully and now I'm not waking up feeling like I've barely slept. The last point is very helpful too, turns out I was doing the whole movement in my arm...would love more thoracic videos. Do you have any views on the exercise suggested in the video titled 'Wake Up This "Hidden" Muscle to Fix HUNCHBACK Posture', I feel like that has helped a lot too.

    Great video. Thank you. When doing the last T-spine rotation exercise in table top position, should you be focusing on shoulder blade retraction at all?

    • @HeartBonesYogaAnatomyMobility
      @HeartBonesYogaAnatomyMobility  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would suggest to let the shoulder blades be wherever they naturally are in that position as the work is more focused on the twist in the thoracic spine, rather than what the shoulder blades are doing. That being said, you could play around with some retraction and see how that feels. I find that when we think about retracting the shoulder blades, that it can sort of "trick" our brain into thinking we've rotated more than we actually did because the shoulder blades have moved, but not necessarily the thoracic spine. Hope that helps!

    Hi, I have been enjoying watching your videos and intend to watch more. As a layman with some experience of yoga, physical therapy, body works and Feldenkrais, I hear in your lessons ideas and terminology from many styles. While my experience is limited, still, I hear more in your way from things I learned through Feldenkrais than I hear from most others I have heard,,, so ,,, just curious,,, is your way influenced by Feldenkrais,, or perhaps Thomas Hanna? Where ever its source, you are awesome,,, Perhaps in reality it is all of one source and various channels of it are not important,,, Your awesome.

      Hi John, thank-you for watching the videos and I'm happy to know you've gotten so much out of them. I've actually never studied Feldenkrais or Hanna Somatics. I've been teaching yoga and movement full-time since 2003 so I think in a lot of ways, the sheer amount of hours that I've spend working with movement, both in my own practice and with others has informed my work the most. I love how you say that maybe it is all of one source and the various channels aren't important. I like that, as you've articulated something that I've been thinking about for a while. Maybe that's why I've never been able to adhere to one style of yoga or one type of movement modality. Thanks for your thoughts and insight!

    Can you please make your videos shorter? People just want to know how to fix it.

      There are plenty of workout videos on TH-cam addressing the T spine from all kinds of teachers. If you're against the knowledge she generously shares and just want a quick fix, maybe try skipping to the last part of the video or search for it elsewhere. Your comment was really unnecessary and rude!
