    It's amazing how much change can be generated by these very subtle variations in the movements. Thanks also for not having background music because it lets me hear all your instructions and I can tune into what's happening internally. Excellent!

    Thank you so much for this my hips have been so tight and I have a sore knee and a numb heel on my left side, I have tried many therapies and nothing has worked, except this! I have only done two days so far, but even on the first day I noticed a difference to my hip and knee pain - thank you so much! :)

    That was so helpful. I did these lunges before I went to bed last night, after a strenuous day, and woke up this morning with no tightness in my hips. Hurray, so am doing them again now before I retire for the night. Thanks so much Brea, much appreicated!!

    Wow! This video was so effective and helpful. I sit a lot in my car and at my job as well as doing a lot of HIIT for exercise. This means that my hip flexors feel chronically tight. After doing this video once I can feel such a difference. I can't wait to see what my hip flexors feel like after doing this regularly. Thank you!

    I love it! it will be a part of my daily practice even if I don’t have particulary tight hips, I feel the stretch and release of my psoas. Thanks!

      Totally. It's a good practice with or without tight hips because of the active stretching component!

    I certainly felt a loosening in my hips side to side after those lunge moves I really suffer with tight hips now after being super flexible earlier in my life . I wonder if you could follow this with a gentle practice that would continue the effect . I’ll try to do this each day and see were I end up thank you !

    Hi Brea, about halfway through this video during one of the lunges, my left leg started violently shaking. Is this just weakness?

      Great video. I have been practicing yoga for 30 years without pain. This past year (I am 71) I notice pain in my right hip. In surfing the net I notice there are many old yoginis getting hip replacements! Don't want that! I found that these movements made some kind of difference in my right hip/femur. I'll keep you posted as I work with these. Thanks Brea.

      That is really great to hear that you've felt a difference in your right hip. Yes, it is so interesting to see how long-term injuries are arising in yoga practitioners. All the more importance for sustainable movements, isn't it? Please do keep me posted, Irene!

    Why did you call that last lunge "psoas friendly"?

  • @eliserobitaille4462
    @eliserobitaille4462 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have been struggling with tight, tight hamstrings, along with sore hip flexors on my right leg for months. No amount of stretching helped.
    Then I did the lunges in this video...on the psoas lunge, with my left leg extended out back, something 'gave', released in my left hip flexor. It scared me at first; I thought I had injured myself. No pain, but perhaps tenderness for the day. My hamstrings are definitely not as tight. What was that?

    • @HeartBonesYogaAnatomyMobility
      @HeartBonesYogaAnatomyMobility  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Elise, I'm not sure what that might have been as that's out of my scope to comment on here over the internet :) Generally speaking, if there wasn't pain associated and you felt better, maybe some deep tension released?

  • @andreasanchez2815
    @andreasanchez2815 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    i heard stretching the psoas doesn't actually release the psoas muscles. i heard alot of tension/ trauma get stored there. there is so many different videos on it dk what to believe lol. :'((((
