Around the 4min mark, they mention the GVM upgrade pre rego to 3800kg. Had mine done a while back, post rego to 4015kg. Nice and simple and a great improvement to the vehicle.

The bull bar is solid mounted to the chassis, but the body is rubber mounted, what you're seeing is the body trying to stay still while the chassis moves around under it. A bit like wheels bouncing while the vehicle stays flat.....sort of.
Colour matched bumper looks cool on a Black and matte grey coloured vehicles. Colour matched rigs doesn't look cool and looks like it kinda lack attention to details. I'm only sharing my humble opinion. Cuz in my opinion no matter what colour is your 4wd, After-market black powder coated bumpers looks cool. Black roof rack, black rock sliders, black rims, black spotties housing, black vehicle logo and names.
Drive on beach to wash the bottom was even a shot of parked in the water at the beach fishing or something sitting off the tailgate . Be sold as never on beach and the whole underneath covered in black paint...
Mate they come off the boat with rust haha After driving most of Australia with a lot of dirt roads hard not to get stone chips. There’s still a lot of red dirty from wa and the cape up under there. The under body is getting a respray

His gamble, well if he sold now would pay off, sell car for more, buy replacement property for less, however I think this rigs staying with him. Do it whilst you're young if you can afford it. Me, wife, 3 kids did, kids all adults with own kids, they all love the outdoors as a result of their youth spent on the road, mind you, we did keep the house, saved like hell to achieve it.

Good touring rigs are my passion, it's been a way of life for me since 1999, toured Aus as a family of five and as a result, it has become infectious for all my kids too, so another 3 tourers out there now. Should he end up selling (why would ya?), all good 200 series are currently worth so much money he wouldn't be out of pocket.

@@matthewjorgensen5497 I used ARB underbody on my Navara and travelled from Tassie to the Cape and Kimberley’s, VHC etc and protected me.. Now I have V6 Amarok set up for touring and have Rival underbody which is great..!! Not sure the best on a 200 but would like you to get extra underbody protection for such a great rig .!!!

You are partly right, BUT if you have a Redarc as he does and was referring to, Redarc call their range, BCDC followed by amps, (in his case 25) then a D for dual input, (alternator & solar). So they did know what they're talking about, sorry. Check Redarc site out to verify.

Or is the tent only fixed on the front & back load bars? say four clamp points rather than six? and any troubles with rooftop tent off-road? Also was there any trouble getting underneath to fix the clamps? Because I to have taken off my rhino platform and would like to setup the three front runner load bars also to the backbone but am worried about enough clearance room to underneath so I can fix the clamps to the loading bars, By the way I love your deadly setup 👍🏾
@@waynetobane8814 Hey mate, so from memory you attach the middle cross bar to the back bone first then put the tent on and fix it off with the brackets. The front and back crossbars are alittle easier. Ive had the tent,awning and accessories up there since new, 60,00kms later (WA top to bottom and the cape) not one issue. Cheers!!

Keep the house, just do it, the experience is awesome. In our case we had to set up vehicle for five of us, 16, 14, 10 year olds plus wife & me. Created the ultimate storage system, three vehicles later still using same system, but been modified to suit two on the road now, not 5, gees space was limited.
You have to be joking, that is just surface deterioration that any used 4x4 will end up with. If he goes for a run thru long lush grass the exposed underside will appear polished. Having said that, I owned a 76 series once and even with a rust eliminating electrical circuit running individually thru body and chassis, the surface deterioration was horrendous, not too confident in Toyotas chassis paint jobs after owning it. Sons Hilux, the front cross member had to be cut out and replaced, now that was rusted. Again, a Toyota.
