  • Roy Sonne guides you through the first movement in this iconic violin opus -- Vivaldi's Four Seasons are perhaps the best known violin works ever written, He deals with style, bow strokes, sonority, and the sounds of nature, referring back to the poem which provides the imagery for this movement. So well guided. When you hear it the best way compared to the weak way the right way is so clear. Please continue to show what not to do. Thank you so much.

    Thank you for this. I am currently learning this piece and your breakdown of the fast triplets after the storm really helped me.

      Wonderful! Please don't hesitate to ask any questions.

    • @ericwarncke
      @ericwarncke 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@roysonne I would only ask if you could go into detail about how to nail that fast triplet section after the storm. I struggle with the intonation on that whole part (from B up to E and then down to G#). So far I have recorded myself playing it on piano very slowly and have been playing that back on a loop and trying to follow along but it's not as effective as I had hoped.
      I think that's the hardest part of the piece, so any additional thoughts you can give on nailing that would be awesome.

      @roysonne  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ericwarncke I would be happy to meet with you on Skype or Zoom, preferably Skype, and have a session on that passage. You can contact me at roysonne@aol.com or else on FB.

    Can you make a video about preludium and allegro by Kreisler especially on bar 69 to 89 pls thnx.

    • @roysonne
      @roysonne  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Johnnyboy. That's a worthwhile topic for a video. I don't have time in the immediate future for this. A couple of tips. Find the repeated patterns. The music falls into groups and so does the fingering. Kreisler's fingerings are good. Keep it simple. In the double stop passage, starting in the second bar it can all be in first position. Play this passage slightly off the string for cleanliness.
