I can't study this now, but even so your lesson is a joy. It helps me to understand a little more about how to approach a piece, in general. It also helps me become a better listener and appreciate performances even more. I take something from here to use there. :-) Thank you so much!
Sir - i need help; my late tutor left a riddle - aftr he playd his steel string violn he'd show me his finger tips all soft with No string mark! His russian tutor was Sarasate's pupil. How us it done...
Pay attention to how much finger pressure you are using. You need only enough so that the string is stopped cleanly. Any more than that is just slowing you down.
That's completely up to you. That being said, one month should be sufficient to learn the first movement without cadenza. Then you can come back to it from time to time if you want.
I would call all the violin shops in your area and ask what they have. If they have something that sounds promising then you can go try it out. If that doesn't pan out, then you can order from Shar or some of the bigger outlets -- they will send you a couple of instruments to try out. Never buy an instrument from ebay. Never buy an instrument that you haven't tried out.
Without exaggerating you are the best violin teacher !
each of your tutorials is a diamond !

Thank you. How many months can I practice the above piece?

Do you teach online?
Thank you for this amazing lesson. I am looking for a 7/8 violin, preferably German made ( I like the H. Dolling) under 3k. Any suggestions?
