- Installing a flip kit on your truck is a great way to lower your truck. For the most part you maintain the factory ride quality. Thanks for watching!!!

The authenticity of this install demonstration is refreshing. Great video. Thank you!
Appreciate that. And thanks for watching
NICE
Thanks 👊🏻🤘🏻
I was wanting to put a flip kit on my y7 C30. This video nailed it!
Awesome. Glad it helped
The wisdom of setting the nuts and washers where your head can hit them is priceless lol
It's took many years to perfect it 🤣🤣
Love the hub caps on the truck
Definitely cool 👍👍
Thanks 🤘
We're did you get the hub caps at ??
Swap meet
Awesome video. Great job 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you
What size tires are you running?
They are 235/75-15
Excellent. While our 70 Mustang restomod project is on lengthy pause waiting for our turn at the chemical strippers, we picked up a 72 C10 to work on. Part of that project will be a 4/6 kit. Thanks for sharing your project. We'll be doing our initial walk around episode coming up soon. Just subscribed to your channel to follow along on the journey. Cheers!
Awesome that'll be a fun build. I'll definitely have to check that out 🙌
@@Metal_Massacre_Fab_Shop We're certainly expecting it to be. We appreciate you checking it out and following the journey.
Nice! I have a 70 c20 with rear coils and an overload spring. Im guessing id have to get lower coils and and axle flip?
I would just do coils and do away with the overload. And add bags if you plan to haul. Does it have a pan hard bar?
Thanks for the reply! I've been considering bags, any brand suggestions? I'm not sure if it has a panhard bar, I'll check and let ya know.
It has a pan hard bar
@mrh8562 yeah if it was me I would just remove the leaf springs all together
I'm new to your channel but I can say I am liking your work keep pounding lil buddy
Awesome, thanks for joining the ride. Much more to come 👊🤘
Did you have to remove the bottom leave spring the short one ?? I installed them but the dont stay straight thinking on removing them ....any thoughts??
I did remove it. Crazy think the leaf springs on this truck actually ended up being broke in a few. So swapped out my 66 GMC over.
If I remove the bottom small thick one I should be ok that will leave me 3 leafs the bottom one keeps shifting ??
On the instructions on the 71 c10 djm flip kit it has no torque specs on the u- joints what did you torque yours too ??
@Wordscarryweight59 the short thick one is the overload. You should be fine with just 3. As far as torque. I would go with 100ft pounds. Make sure the weight of the truck is on them before torquing 👊🏻
Right on brotha thank you 👊
@Wordscarryweight59 anytime 👊🏻
Will this kit work on a 69 gmc c15
It should 👊🏻
@Metal_Massacre_Fab_Shop do you happen to know what size tire you are running on this truck and how low did you go in the front to make it level
Doing an axle flip on a 3/4 ton right now. Thanks for the warning about the risk of pulling the drive shaft out of its insertion. That would precipitate some cussing.
It definitely can haha
The pause on that "rear end" paint 😂
Always feels weird talking about doing things to a rear end on camera 🙃🤣🤣
Did the driveshaft rub at the upper part of the cross member under the truck? The one on my truck is rubbing a little.
Yes once we got the bed back on it was rubbing. Just had to clearance it some 👊🏻
@@Metal_Massacre_Fab_Shop thanks for the reply! 👍🏼
Will this kit fit 67 gmc 2 wheel drive long bed? I can’t seem to find anything that says 67. It’s all 68-72
I can’t answer that for sure. But I would think it should. Maybe shoot the company a email 👊🏻
Awesome!!!
Thank you 😁
To low really lol
Lol probably right. We will see what it looks like after the front👍👍
