Wonderful. I have known of them since about 15 years and they get no air play in the USA, where I am from. A friend from Germany introduced me to them. I had the pleasure of finally seeing them live in Copenhagen twice in the last couple of years. They are fantastic live, if you ever have the chance to go to a concert, do it. They have an unmatched catalog of music..

It's still so weird how long this band was kinda underrated for years. His voice is a amazing. Our country is a small one but this band is one of the reasons I'm proud to be born in Finland. And I'm glad to see how many fans they have got in couple of years. Keep it up !!!
I may not be Finnish, but I definitely agree that this band is seriously underrated. I was introduced to this band by the game Alan Wake. After playing that game, I went on and had to listen to more of these guys' music, and now I am a lifelong fan.

Finland has some of the best bands. Nightwish, Amberian Dawn, Sonata Arctica, and now Poets of the Fall; I've found so many beautiful songs from your country. ❤
PotF is not underrated at all - they just aren't well known, worldwide, for some very strange reason. But for those of us who do know of them they rank up near the top of the list.
How is this band not huge, they're songs are so epic, so emotional. A lot better than the garbage that does top the charts.
They are Finnish and have minimal exposure in North America....which is criminal.

Their songs are complicated for common people. If you check out the ones who go viral, they have basic vocabularies and very basic songs. And of course the marketing of European bands are not good or not allowed in the US. The "my dark disquiet" went viral tho , thanks to gamers.

They have their own small record label and not much exposure anywhere. It’s their own choice, they’ve been offered contracts.
Everything from POTF is absolutely amazing. And Marko... great voice, brilliant songwriter, nice actor... so much talent in one person.

His vocal texture is just out of this world. Also the music is so damn good. Those jupiter sounds and 808 drums are so 80s. Overall a very classy and well produced song. My new favourite.

Before I lost my girlfriend.. the woman I literally thought I was going to die with as an old man.. you know I started singing some of their music to her every night when she would lay there looking at me falling asleep. Without fail it was Children Of The Sun and Fragile. anyway.. I started singing this song to her and then I discovered that French version now I live in New Hampshire in the United States and I do not speak any language except english. However I now can sing that song flawlessly in French and I did that for her. She had no idea that I was practicing that when she was at work I'd be home playing the guitar and trying to learn every word of this song in French eventually I did. Then one night as she lay there crying about something she was very upset I sat down next to her and I played the instrumental for this song and sang it to her in french. The response I got from her was probably the most heartfelt thing I have ever experienced with a woman in my life. I am blessed and humbled to be able to listen to these guys all the time like I do. It has been such a godsend and their music has saved my life many times. They have enhanced my way of thinking and living. this world would be such a darker place without them we are all blessed. Take care.

I was just introduced to POTF this past week with Carnival of Rust and Herald of Darkness by my young brother. I thought Herald would be my all time favorite, but as I went down the rabbit hole, this song hasn't escaped my mind since I first heard it. I heard the acoustic version first, then this one. I have a feeling that, without a doubt, when I have gone through all their music, The Sweet Escape will be my number 1 favorite. It's so soulful, beautiful, meaningful, loving, gentle, tender, and powerful all at the same time. It makes me feel safe, loved, and empowered. How do they do it? Poets of the Fall, you boys have a talent and power that I am just discovering, and I cannot wait to have your music embedded in my life. Thanks for existing ♥

When I first heard this song, I was so hopeless, I wished from the bottom of my heart that 1. I ever get this feeling, 2. I ever get out of the hell place I've lived in and escape to somewhere else.

Jaska's beautiful jazz guitar sound throughout is wonderful! I wish the studio version had that. Now I'm hooked too much on the music video version. And always, Marko captivates with that beautiful voice. The song has an '80s vibe to it. This could easily have been at home featured in an episode of Miami Vice. Can't get enough of these guys!

Beautiful photography as always by Miika Hakala! A few minutes into the video, I started feeling the longing... and it grew for every second that passed. For whom is this gift Marko is holding? Why is he not making eye contact with anyone? How come some see him while others don't? and then I heard the guitar riffs... almost as during the shows, and I was like: YES!!! Finally a single that brings it up a notch compare to the album version... How will "Partir avec Moi" conclude this longing? Absolutely stunning in its simplicity, I love it.
That is the most beautiful voice I've ever heard. I could listen to it all day, everyday.
