- I Tried the 7am Walmart Spark shift, and also did some early morning instacart orders as well. I was able to make $93 in just 4 hours. So if you were wondering if walmart spark is worth it, check this early am shift out for gig work.

I am a gig driver that mostly uses instacart to make some money, this has been my full time job for almost a year, and I have learned alot over that short period of time. Hoping to share tips and advice with you all!

I always factor the gas in. I don't start the counter until I made my gas money back, and then I work towards my minimum.
Early birds definitely get the worms in this gig. Many of my best shopping orders have come first thing in the morning.

I may have to start doing the shop and deliver orders on spark. They pay way more than the delivery in my area. I hate the shopping because finding subs can be a pain in the ass then everyone is in your way

The 3 customer orders are a waste of every spark drivers time. They don't offer enough money to make it worth your time.
Disagree. I’ve gotten 3 batch orders $30+ 14 miles. Depends on your market
They usually are harder work (more stuff to carry up stairs etc) but I find they pay pretty well for time spent. For example today I got a 42$ for 7.2 miles. It took me about an 1 hr and 10 mins to complete it and ALSO drive back to my original Walmart. Also, the other day I got something similar for a 55$ order that took me like 1 hour and 30 mins. I personally rather do 1 or 2 of these orders that require a bit more lifting/work per day and call it a day rather than having spent 4-5 hours making the same amount of money by taking it more easy and doing small single orders. Time is money and I will do HARD work anytime to make up for length.
This is a good app to have on and see what they send while you’re away from the store. If you just sit in the parking lot waiting for orders you won’t make much. Gotta do the quick UE/DD/GH orders b2b to wait on the big Walmart orders and show up right when it’s ready. Otherwise it’s a time waster
I placed a Walmart order & usually it has a pop-up screen after your delivery to rate & tip the driver. Sadly this has not appeared yet & my delivery was last night. Now I have no way to tip & rate my delivery driver.
Wondering if they changed this?

@@aphidcart yea I've been placing orders for about a year now while taking care of my elderly mom & this is first time I've ever had this problem. The prompt didn't pop up & therefore you can't rate your driver either. Very strange. I always prefer tipping after the job is completed. And no way to contact driver as it just 1 time told me first name.
@@redgingerbreadpamsame was a update to app 5 months ago. There’s nowhere to tip now. I message drivers tell them I left tip under a decoration on porch

Love your videos! I’m thinking about doing Walmart Spark, but was wondering; does Walmart app show you where the items are in the store. I do Instacart and two of the main stores I go to show me what isles I need to go to to find the product. These are very organized stores (Fred Meyer and Albertsons) The thought of shopping for someone at a Walmart and not being prompted where the items are sounds like a nightmare to me since Walmarts are, in general, terrible stores.

Curbside pickup is the shit also. Pull up, scan put in the whip. The shopping does show the exact aisles.

Walmart spark is the worst gig app out of all of them😅 three orders for 12 to 15 dollars go into apartments with hundreds of items😅 here's the best part then you find out you got tip baited😅 oh and then you waited an hour for the order😅 please don't do Walmart Spark

When you get an order with alcohol, do you have to card the recipient when you deliver it?
Yes. Alcohol orders require verifying age and scanning a valid ID into the app. The customer also must sign for alcohol orders.

Wow I remember when I started doing spark I was getting constantly orders one after the other now I realize I’m doing a mistake by not accepting whatever robin offers I get and reject all the bad paying orders due to cherry picking I had to communicate with the spark chat and that’s what I got told accept all the robin offers and you will get more offers if you decline orders your orders will decrease 😢
Is because you haven’t upgraded your account, well I don’t mean the app or play store upgrade. This is done by a private company . Once you upgrade your account, you will start grabbing high quality orders constantly

Like round robbin. I had no idea. I've been doing a single early morning order since most people don't get up that early so I've been guaranteed a delivery. Extra 600$ a month plus my full time job has been nice

What are the thoughts about AR and spark. I'm at 4%. In my second month. After my first week and on I'm pretty much under 20%. My zone has 7 stores. No way am I driving to them 40 min for a order.
I'm aware the program says it won't effect. But does it effect availability?
Someone must be taking the bad orders I refuse.
I personally believe having a higher AR can help get more shopping orders. Also having a higher AR since to help at Sam’s. Just a theory but I think it does help. Unfortunately with you having that many stores, you aren’t gonna have any luck increasing it. Personally I feel that repeat customers is one of the biggest determining factors on who gets what orders.

Probably at most 30 miles. In my car that’s like $3 in gas

Almost every offer i get is batched. That is number 1, number 2 i miss a lot of runs because they are gone almost before I can read what store it is for. I also seem to get these spread out runs that don't leave me close to another hotspot. What am I doing wrong???? also I rarely see runs with tips.
Batched runs are too time consuming and you will be making 15 an hour regardless if spark estimated time says 30 mins. If the order doesn’t get you 25+ an hour it’s not worth it. Walmart now thinks everyone’s car is a Walmart delivery van. Spark is just an app now littered with niave drivers who will take any order
good job. how much gas cost would you say generally takes away the profit you have made? 20? 30%? 40%?
Way less in my civic. I would say 10% at max. Probably closer to 7%.

You say your making 100.00 for the day, but you would have to do maybe 2 more because you have to take your taxes out.
This isn’t my main source of income, $100 is just the perfect goal for myself. Most people don’t tell people their salary after expenses. I feel like most people understand that I have to pay things like gas, taxes and depreciation.

I start seeing order around then. Mostly orders that were fulfilled the previous day until the round robin.

$286 was my max in a day there. Usually could consistently hit $100 in 3 hours. It is just too over saturated there now, and I’m not Diamond cart anymore.
