Excellent traverse of my favourite mountain. I am just about to embark on it once again. My munroist dogs Robbie and Rory ashes are scattered on this mountain and I have made a point of climbing these mountains on my 10th birthday markers starting from 40 years old so 10 th of May this year my 70th I will be back on these stunning hills. I climb it from your decent. Been on the School ridge. But don’t think I have the upper body strength to scramble anymore so will slog up to the Bealach. Great footage well done.
What a thoroughly engaging and likeable young man this is, absolute pleasure to share in his adventures speaking for those of us whose days on the hills are long past. His videos show editing at its best and remind us just how beautiful Scotland is, lifting the spirits of all who watch them. Well done, very well done and appreciated indeed.
Thank you so much for your kind comments Glen - I enjoy making these videos for others & myself to watch back so I’m glad you enjoy them! It’s not a hard job to make Scotland look beautiful 😁 Cheers, James
One of the mountains I made an attempt on but didn't get to the top. I did it in late spring and didn't have winter gear but I got to a section where all the rocks had running water and about an inch of smooth ice over them, from spring snow thaw I'd imagine. I decided the risks were more than the rewards and turned back. Oh well! Better that than taking a header off the ridge!
Can imagine that would be pretty intimidating with some ice on it, correct decision turning back.. not always an easy one to make.. Thanks for watching Atb, James
Brilliant mate and as per usual I did it the opposite direction and missed going up the ridge 😂 so will just have to do it again 👍🏻😂! But they are a cracking 2 Munro’s 😎
Brilliant video, loved the drone footage at the ridge when it starts to get proper scrambly, we went up there on Saturday there, one of the best days on the hills I've ever had
That looks like a beautiful trail to hike with incredible views and dronies, would love to shoot a solo hike there one day. I really like how you guide the viewer through your adventure. Great work James, you definitely got a new subscriber here, your channel is a gem. Have a wonderful week. Take care out there. Best wishes, Mario
Top video James . You got a mighty fine day for this great route. Superb drone footage with great views all round. I really enjoyed this route too. All the best. Andrew 👍
Save the 10 out of 10 for An Teallach! But I would have rated that 9.5 out of 10 at least, especially with that fantastic drone footage. I did the "Schoolhouse Ridge" ascent a few years ago and loved it, but I had terrible cramp as I'd been tiling a floor the week before the walk, and the views were great but not as good as the ones you got. We left a car at each end of the walk, so we didn't have to do the road walk back.
It might be 😁 I maybe have a 10/10 coming up in the next few videos… The ridge was fantastic, really enjoyed it 😁 great idea with two cars, I wish I had left my bike at one end, ill know for next time! Thanks for watching Atb, James
What a set of ridges. Thanks for letting the views do the talking. Climbed this in a group in cloud and our leader took us down the wrong side of the final ridge leaving us about 5 miles back on that road...
Superb James. I'm actually just back in the house after doing those two munros today. Very similar conditions although less snow. That's a fair pull up to the ridge at the start - certainly gets the heart pumping. The walk out was good until hitting that track and then road seemed to go on for ages. Look forward to ur new outing.
Thanks Selwyn 😁 hope you enjoyed it as much as I did, one of my favourites already! Your right, its a fair pull up the ridge! Thanks for watching, Atb, James
The Vair pair via an interesting route! We were in a rush doing these and just went up and down through the forestry tracks and up one corrie to your 2nd of the day, onto your 1st and down same way you did - bit on a steep scramble through trees as the path just seemed to disappear. Thanks for uploading. Awesome drone shots of you ascending the ridge! 🏴⛰👍
Fantastic video mate. Really really gripping stuff. Been up over those two a couple of times, but you really brought home the majesty and wonder of these mountains. Properly good video. Love your work.
Great video! Fortunately, this appeared in my suggested videos, new subscriber here. Fantastic views and excellent videography, some effort doing all that filming yourself 👍🏻
One of my favourite routes James.Drone footage of you on the Schoolhouse Ridge was excellent.A few years ago since i've done it but it is high on the list of ones to go back to with the drone as i never had one at the time.😀👍
Amazing weather and drone footage. I took my wife on this route - her first Munro’s. Word of caution: don’t follow the burn down through the forest it’s well sketchy and drops into a steep dangerous gorge, best to head to the right, around the forest perimeter.
Fantastic footage mate, recently subscribed to your channel, its brill !! Got these 2 planned for the summer, like you I've wanted to do them for quite some time. What is the name of the band that's playing in the background of the video ?,beautiful song !!
I've just down this exact walk today but had slightly better weather than you. As you said amazing views from the top but your right about the walk along the road.

Great video. Unbelievable views up there. I done them myself a couple of years ago.
That walk back along the road absolutely destroyed me 😂
Thank you, the road walk is a nightmare 😂 I regret not dropping my bike off

Just because you're not well known doesn't mean that you aren't worthy of praise.
The comment applies to both the hill and yourself James.👏

Nice to see ypou back out James. I love your drone footage. Why do you not park your bike at the end and cycle back?
Thanks Eddie! Looking back that would have been sensible.. I will know for next time 😁

You so right...I made the mistake last July of walking down then heading left ..it was hard going....
Done these 5 years ago in winter, brilliant hills, but your right about the walkout 🤣 Do you mind me asking what drone you use .
That must have been epic in Winter! Im using the DJI Air2s 😁
Cheers, James
