Spectacular!! I was in the Torridon Hills in the second week of May this year myself. Hired a guide to climb Beinn Eighe and Beinn Alligin. Went up Beinn Eighe the first day, but we had to turn back due to an extremely strong wind that literally blew me off my feet now and then. Walked past the loch up to where the gully starts and saw some of the wreckage of the plane that once crashed there. The second day we reached Tom na Gruagaich (we started from the other side and came from a different direction) and than turned back again for the same reason, but I've regretted that ever since. I wanted to stretch myself, but actually didn't. Thanks for sharing!

Really nice to see this route in the full. I have made three attempts on this so far. The first two ended up with a retreat over the first horn due to deteriorating weather and the last one in Feb 2018 was a retreat at one of the chock-stones. Sloppy granular snow and not enough to go over, but too much to go under. It came together later in the week though with similar sunlit views from Liathach after a date with George and his Sinister Prong. Maybe this year and attempt number 4, as I will be back in a couple of weeks.

Hi Norman - different people favour different types of boots - my only real advise would be to go into a shop where the staff can advise and try the boots on. Nothing worse than boots that don't fit right
