Well, I tried this and the I5 as new possible company cars, and I chose this, as the backseat space is miles ahead of the I5, the Android auto is the best software next to Tesla I think, and working with the shortcuts makes it so easy to use on the fly. I was also sceptical about the rearview mirror, but also had plenty of cars with so limited visibility out the back, that this is a huge upgrade over.
Actually I would love the boot space without the window and the digital rear mirror because you can actually pack it full without worry that you can’t see backwards. You also don’t have to worry that you’ll brake the rear window if you pack it full. So the useful space must be larger than most competitors. Brilliant idea!
I have driven 110 000km / 68 350 miles with my Polestar 2 performance since 2020, hard driving and it still runs perfect today. The Polestar 4 will be my next car. Test drove it and its better than the new Macan EV ( drove it also) and cheaper. I love it.
Coupe vehicles have terrible rear view visibility. Even the rear window on the C40 is unusable as the driver. Even on Volvo forums it is often stated that people don't use the window, just the poor camera. In my opinion, in the Polestar 4, you have the best coupe camera rear view solution

So pleased to here someone finally comment on the fixed glass roof that is now so common. I live in the south of Portugal. My Lexus RZ450e has the electrochromatic tint but it still gets very hot inside in the summer. Even with the AC on and pointing up at the roof, when I am driving my head is several degrees hotter than the rest of me. I won't buy a car with this type of arrangement again. Either no pano/sunroof, or at least a proper sun blind.
@@shadow_warlockgr So they've fitted a roof that they know needs a sun shade in hot climates, and sell you some manual folding piece of cloth that you have to fit and remove yourself to make up for their design failure. I think that tells me all I need to know.
Owning a Polestar 2 BST230 and feeling concerned about the brand’s future… The fact that it is supposed to be limited to 230 units but you can still get it after 6 months tells a lot about people being interested on the brand. You two are so fun to watch 😅
man, polestar is super expensive, comparing to the tesla for instance, yes, materials are better, but chargen network is not there, lower efficiency, for more money they should offer more, but at the end they offer less. I would concider polestar as my next car if the price range was on the same level as tesla!
@@iManiac7 Most Tesla charging stations are open for all EV:s now a days. So there is no advatange for Tesla in that aspect. Personally I would choose the Polestar 4 any day of the week over a Tesla. Tesla is not a premium car in my opinion.
@@iManiac7r price range ratio is for me a weird concept. so if you pay 100,000eur then you expect 1500km of range? i don’t get it. what matter is do you really need more than 620km of range? do you often drive over 600km in one day? do you drive 1200km in a row without a 30min stop? range. model y LRDM has 533km. polestar 4 LRDM is 620KM. but Tesla is better? also the target audience of this car will have very little concern about 1 or 2kwh of less efficiency
@iManiac7 I have owned my Polestar 2 for one year now and I'm extremely happy I didn't choose a boring Tesla. I care much more about the feeling the car gives me than some numbers.
That sounds like marketing b.s. to cover up the fact that functionality was compromised for the "cool" aesthetic. Not a problem, the Hyundai Ionic 6 is similarly compromised, but they will never get mainstream sedan or SUV buyers. More like a coupe SUV niche vehicle, all imo.
Once again really good detail and some fun, thank you. There is so much Polestar have got right in trying to reimagine what a car should be. The deal breakers for me, as ever, are the UI/UX plus central iPad. The even bigger deal breakers are that it looks as if the software is still flaky and that oven roof. Even in rainy grey England an oven roof does not work. By contrast the comparator Macan seems to have made better UI/UX decisions and the handling should be sharper. Price at €84k makes me wonder whether I will have more fun with an Alfa, Mini, or Smart at around half that cost.
To me this easily beats the Macan. Lower price, better looking, same interior quality and just as good driving experience. Only reaso to choose the Macan over this is the badge
Now this is one of the best video's about a car you made, fantastic. About the rear window I read that it would be otherwise so small and they good also made the roof langer voor headrest. And I think it's so cool with that camera
Thanks for your great car reviews. I made a short test drive of the Polestar 4 and found it a nice ride. My problem with the rear view "mirror" though was that as I use multifocal glasses for my nearsightedness to have a clear view at distant objects through the windscreen, my view of the rear view mirror at close range became blurred. I asked the dealer about this and they did not have an immediate solution, except for mentioning that the manufacturer was considering some programming to "soften" the image in the mirror to reduce this feeling of blurred view. I do not know how that will play out but from my personal point of view I have to consider this system unsuitable. Otherwise, I think the car is a good alternative, especially pricewise to its competitors.
Thanks! Interesting! Thanks for the feedback. Thats a very important point. So you are saying that the camera mirror would be near focus whereas the real mirror is long focus aight?
@@autogefuehl Yes, exactly, with my glasses the camera mirror becomes out of focus whereas a real mirror would not. To see the camera mirror clearly I would either have to (re)move my glasses or tilt my head to get the focal point needed for the short distance to the camera mirror.
Thanks for the detailed review! I saw the car in the showroom recently, and the interior quality is absolutely top-notch. I compared it to the Polestar 3 and didn’t get that car at all. The main issue with the 4th model, in my opinion, isn’t the lack of a rear window (I just feel bad for the cars driving behind, they won't be able to look through), it’s the price with all the options…
10:58 thank you for mentioning your shoe size (I’m the same). It’s a constant frustration for me, finding a car that has the appropriate space for my feet.
Why do people keep saying "tech companies" or "Tesla has more tech", when they really mean, they have more/better Software or information technology? I mean, to my knowledge, all premium vehicles from "legacy" Car Brands have a great deal more engineering hours in the hardware development in their cars than Tesla - just because it isn't software driven doesn't mean it isn't technology...
ya, "tech" is rather considered as software tech whereas the hardware technology is rather considered as engineering... rather a definition / term issue, I agree to your observation
One obscenely underestimated problem is the width. At over 2m wide (excluding mirrors) it's wider than even a Continental GT or DB12, which for practically every European city is an instant dealbreaker for a car that's supposed to compete with the Macan.
That’s HUGE, multi-stories in my local City are typical uk car parks with tiny spaces and really narrow ramps leading up to higher levels. I would be having a heart attack trying park this thing
I had a polestar 2 as a rental the other day and even that was surprisingly wide. Thankfully when you get close to something, the 360 cam activates. But regardless, still unnecessarily wide
22:10 I think removing the back window let them move back the roof structure, allowing the increased seat recline without hitting your head and moving seat back for more legroom. All of that you are enjoying right here. It's certainly still ok to think that tradeoff isn't worth it, to each their own, but Polestar did achieve their goal here in my opinion. What I don't like is the tesla-like moving of so many things to the screen. Just let me move my own vents.
@@autogefuehl Oh for sure an unstated reason is to make up for their poor packaging (it's a problem on the 2 and 3 as well), as well as the coupe shape. I'm a sucker for coupe shape vehicles across the board but the rear windows usually end up somewhere between hilarious and pathetic, so just ditching it seems like something not worth fighting over. I wish they'd kept the shooting brake/estate roof line of the Zeekr 001 brother, I think that's the real tragedy.
Thomas, Another thorough review. You gotta’ give Polestar credit for innovative interior/exterior styling. You know the new CEO being a financial guy will drive cost out of Polestar models attempting to achieve profitability, so perhaps the windowless rear of the Polestar 4 will be replaced with a conventional rear window. Agree the 4 should be an upgraded 2. As a Polestar 2 owner, 2nd car to our MB EQS SUV, it is rock solid. And at least here in the US, Polestar provides great value leasing the Polestar 2 for only $299/mo. I do hope Polestar survives. Let’s see what happens?
I think it is a good car overall, lots of attention to detail and checking a lot of boxes on the current trends regarding modern EVs. I mean it has 22kW AC charging, has a frunk, nice interior with good features (storing, cupholders, all seats heated, room in the back, etc.), good software, good trunk space etc. If anything, it's quirky with the missing rear window but the camera implementation seems well thought and the camera wont get dirty easily, or at least so it would seem. My only issue is the price and its place in the Polestar models range but yeah they will probably resolve that in the future
How effective is electrochrome for blocking heat? Wouldn't a simple built in shade be as effective, potentially more so? Glass roofs should be entirely optional imo
I have electrochrome on my Lexus RZ450e. I'm sure it's better than nothing, but it's still not enough where I live in the south of Portugal. During the summer it is like having a big radiator on around my head. I'm looking for a car with no sunroof for my next car, but given this trend, it is surprisingly hard to find on EVs
I think this will be an awesome car when they iron out all the driver assist software bugs and it get a year or two of development. Hope they survive that long so i can buy one. So fair i am happy in my Polestar 2
I really like the idea of rear window delete and replacing it with cameras. Although with P4 it is a bit of missed opportunity. P3 with steep window angle is prone to have dirty window all the time, hence they have installed rear window scraper and washer to prevent that, making it the model that just demands rear window to be deleted.
It's too much based on the Zeekr001 IMO. I prefer a Volvo-based Polestar. Look at the seat controls. Volvo uses one rectangular button, this car doesn't. A lot of this car is Polestar design over the Zeekr001 interior. That's why it has a landscape opposed to portrait center screen. It looks nice, but like a Zeekr001. I think Polestar made it more firm and responsive and chassis stiffer so it feels like a proper Polestar. But there are aspects of it that are not Polestar. I'd test another Polestar 3 because it shouldn't be so noisy at high speeds. See how the EX90 is at high speeds. Because the Polestar 3 is strongly based on the EX90. The Polestar Precept didn't have a back window so that's a Polestar design feature. The Polestar 5 will not have one either. I think the new management should find a designer like Missonni, drop the Polestar 6 and accellerate development of the Polestar 7, the smaller, less expensive, entry-model Polestar. They don't need a nice-looking but extremely expensive halo car. They need a good seller and the Polestar 2 is getting old. And for people saying this car is Chinese or Chinese designed, you are mistaken. Polestar has plenty of info and videos out showing the teams that design and engineer Polestars and none of them are from Geely. They're Europeans based in Sweden or England. Just because a brand has a Chinese owner doesn't mean that owner has changed a Swedish or English brand into t a Chinese one. And even if some of them use a platform that is shared, the platforms are modified for the brand. Lamborghini uses a VW platform as does Bentley. Doesn't make Lambo or Bentley German.
The lack of a rear window makes no difference for me, the rear view mirror works the same way with a camera. My concern with this car is the amount of software based functions, as Volvo / Polestar softwares hasn't been the most reliable.
That rear view mirror stepping like that reminds me of the Deja Vu glitching in "The Matrix". It's extremely annoying even on camera when I'm not trying to drive.
Honestly I absolutely love the sticker on Polestar vehicles. As an engineer, I just love to get a better idea of the tech. It gives them an identity as a tech-focused brand.
My trusted and pedantic car guru Thomas. Is he getting old and adapting grand dad attitude? The only stupid thing when Polestar left the rear window away is that car journalist make that most dominant feature of P4. 360 cameras, parking sensors, lane changing assistant and warning, reverse auto brake makes rear window obsolete. I had Volvo C40 where there is rear window but you don’t see anything as it is small. I used to drive without rear view mirror. And plus side is also that you don’t see four rings qnd propeller logos on your rear view mirror anymore. 🎉🎉🎉
Q: why glassroof A: it is nice, better headroom, and you can get electrochromatic glass to block light. In Sweden though, I cant see the reason of electrochrome. I have not experienced heat problem witb my P2 even in summer with 30 degrees celsius.
How is no stalks even remotely "the future"? Car makers 30 years ago could have removed the stalks in favor of normal buttons, but they didn't, it was a choice, and it will be a choice, but not the future :) Overall impression is good car, from a niche brand, and expensive, not sure but it's not for me, hope they stay alive but it's hard justifying buying this in the current market.
What is your opinion about Max Missoni leaving Polestar? Tha change in CEO was i think needed (as you mentioned about rear window etc), but what about the designs? Missoni was an asset for Polestar, marketing, PR and sleek designs overall
Certainly doesn't come across as a crossover in this video... The black cladding makes the ride appear higher, but the ground clearance is only 6.5in. But I guess "sedans" don't sell anymore.
@@autogefuehl Yes I think so, when I first bought the car I tried to look down the thing with a flash light but could see it either, it’s probably in the back. Unless they changed something for the European market, if you get a chance you can try to see if you can hear the fan kicking on to confirm.
I think the rear view camera is a good thing on this car. The Tesla model 3 have terrible vision through the rear window for instance. I really like the design and think a lot of people do. At least outside of Germany 😉
How is the build quality between the US built P3 and the Chinese built P4? My country is lucky to have the Zeekr 001 (what the P4 is based on) available: it is a much better package with a better design imho
I have a huge problem with the lack of glass at the rear, there will always be a situation where visual references are preferred over cameras eg snow , muck over cameras , tight close objects even car parks , but the other issue why shuch as small rear digital mirror display, it should be far bigger f150 size
Awesome car! I preferred this one over P3 somehow.. not sure how that was possible.. because torque vectoring on P3 and all is superb. Ps. Bankruptcy is not an option for Polestar, Geely knows this. It's a death sentence for every other brand they bringing to the West and especially themselves. Psps. You can just remove the sticker. 😅 Pspsps. I hope Leah is your girlfriend or wife cuz those were some indicative comments, jokes and puns 😂 we always say.. a happy day at work doesn't feel like work
@@autogefuehl aaah happy couple at work! That's nice to see!! Glad you found each other then, not often does work and love interest collide hehe. Now I'm definitely sure that every day at work is a happy day. 🤩
Nice car, I cancelled my order as half the features 'don't work' yet but will soon with an OTA. I'm not paying that kind of money to be a guinea pig! Small issues yes, but the lack of CarPlay is a basic
Adaptive suspension was supposed to sense road quality and issues and ADAPT to that. These modern interpretations of adaptive suspension seem to just be several way electronically adjustable compression settings on the dampers, completely ignoring the car's responsibility to sense the road and make immediate changes. Can anyone confirm what's used on a car like this?
Polestar says, "Continuously controlled active ZF dampers with coil spring suspension (CCD) equipped with internal valve and rebound coil springs and external coil springs." Yet you had to select softer setting to get rid of those expansion joint reactions from the car. So where's the magic suspension tech?
It's what Geely has that they feel is ready for "prime time", namely, the U.S. and world market. They definitely will cannibalize sales from each other but they are different enough to, honestly, flesh out a Polestar lineup that is as sparse as a product line could be and still exist: one model in the last five years.
Hi there, fantastic and comprehensive review. Thank you for that. I watched many reviews of PS4 and none mentioned the constant low frequency motor / battery electric humming that is inside the cabin. I did 4 test drives and every time the sound was there. Polestar guys were mixed in their explanations, but the fact is the sound is there and it’s annoying. At least to my ears. Have you experienced it?
@@autogefuehl yes, I guess the sound is always there, but it gets obscured at higher speeds. I appreciate the regulations, but presumably it’s for the pedestrians. Why does the sound get into the cabin? PS3 and 2 does not have this sound, neither BMW i5, Porsche Taycan or Tesla. But good to know, thank you for confirming. Keep up the good job!
they gave away share yes, I didnt want to get so detailed about it, ultimately, they want to cut the ties. You are free to add the details, grateful for that, but dont "dude" me
What will be more expensive, an all-natural Scottish wool sweater or a popular brand sweater made from PET bottles??? The same should go for cars, right???
The rear window situation is just stupid - just a adds more potential points of failure. I guess it's a bit cheaper to manufacture if you'd have the cameras anyway but still.. It doesn't even look good
How are there additional points of failure? The window is gone, the waterproofing is gone, the wiper blade is gone... is just the camera that can fail. Besides that, removing the window allows the C/D pillar to be pushed back farther, in turn pushing the rear seats back farther, creating tons of head and leg room. Not pointless.
Clearly you haven't been in one, driven one or seen one in real life. Because there's less points of failure.. the benefits far outweigh the 'negative' which is just adapting to a rear view camera instead.. and honestly the camera is a positive, especially in harsh conditions haha.. I have driven my car for a week now without being able to look out my back window.. no wiper, nothing.
Good video-thanks🙏 nice to interact Mia more to👍 This car looks best in all black and the rwd is good enough for lots of people. To bad its too expensive here in Sweden😢
Such a shame, I also do not expect this one to sell well. I own Polestar 2 and I really, really like it. I hoped they will iterate on those, but it seems they are getting despret. This is just Zeekr001 with a weird body. PS I have a panoramic roof and I think it is great. I park mostly in a garage, but when i park outside I just turn on the AC on the way to car so it is nice and cold when I am back. When you drive fast the air cool the roof and it does not get very hot, so only in the heavy traffic you can sometimes feel a bit the heat, but again, AC does the job.
Yeah, I'm sure this windowless design will become a trend when full autonomy becomes reality. But, for now, it's just kind of weird design flourish that will ultimately hurt sales.
Additional point. Those aren't capacitive buttons, but push buttons. They have capacitive integrated to both visualise on the display what button your finger is on and for the system to be sure there is a finger on the button pressed and not the palm of your hand as an example. Swiping your hand over the buttons will flicker on the display but not do anything as you still have to physically touch them. Have this experience with my Volvo EX30. Agree though that there are still glitches in the Polestar 4 software
as far as I understand, there is one button per side, and where you press then changes stuff, they dont have multiple button fields per steering wheel side. So its a one-push-button with several capacitive fields on top
@@autogefuehlYou did. Kw/h and Kw are two different dimensions and so one cannot be the gross of another one. They are apple and orange. Gross and net must be used on values with equal dimensions.
Sorry I dont quite understand. I said 100 kilowatthour and 400 kilowatt - I just read what was stated on the sticker, and then I also mentioned that 94 kwh is the net figure of the battery whereas 100 kwh is the gross figure. What is the mistake? 100 and 94 are the figures for the batteries, 400 is the figure for the power. But I didnt say anything else different from that.
@@autogefuehl Good point. Commands like "Turn down the steering wheel heat" - or "Go to Sam's Restaurant" work wonderfully. But I'm not sure about commands that directly control driving functions.
Given how closely you tested this after the Polestar 3, that both were Performance Pack equipped, and that you were able to test them in the same settings, what's your overall preference from a driving experience perspective? Is the air suspension and chassis tuning in the Polestar 3 enough to give it a sportier drive characteristic that's comparable to the lower Polestar 4? And given that Polestar (and Volvo) consistently underrate their 0-60 times, how different do those two feel from each other in acceleration? You also didn't mention anything about the Harman Kardon system in this. It's been getting mixed reviews from those that have taken delivery or gone on test drives. I know the one in our local showroom performs below our Polestar 2 which is also equipped with the HK sound system, even though the Polestar 4 has more power and more speakers.
And also, I really enjoyed the interaction the two of you had on this video (and others). I agree with your comment that it's about being informative, but also you can have some fun while doing it!
Good question. The Polestar 4 has way better efficiency at high speeds, thats what we pointed out. And it is lower in the price. 2 most important aspects. Everything else, especially the air suspension like you mentioned, speak for the Polestar 3 for me. I would always take the P3. You also feel that the P3 is a Volvo, whereas the P4 is a Geely.
@@autogefuehl thank you. I was asking, because we had/have a reservation for a Polestar 4, but Polestar announced that all P4s coming to the US are delayed until April at the earliest, which I think we all know what that means in Polestar-speak. So we now ordered a Launch Edition P3, also with Performance Pack that we should have by next month. It's a shame, because I really liked the P4 and figured it might have more of a sporty/dynamic handling driving experience, since it is more of a saloon/sedan. But the P3 isn't really all that much taller, and it seems like the air suspension, and the rear toque vectoring, really compensates for the added weight over the P4. So maybe in the end they'd be very similar on Alpine style backroads.
I’m worried about the future of the brand, they are trying to compete with Porsche and the brand doesn’t have the same draw, even if the product is as good as if not better in places than Porsche. I don’t know how long Geely will keep them afloat, their next car needs to be something special, more desirable. This is a wonderfully designed car, but this isn’t it.
With more and more cars looking the same, and sounding the same (no sound), one of the few distinctive features will soon be phone-cooling, ambient lighting and screen fonts. Nice! After 2035 car reviews will be pointless. Sorry Guys!
Hi Thomas, as you have the experience with EV driving, I have a question: i need to order a new car and im thinking about a PS4 dual motor plus or a bmw i5 sedan/touring with the m pack and not many more options. What would be the best choice? I am averaging 4000km per month
I d rather go for the i5, easier to control, brand is stable and the 5 Series has great comfort. Get the comfort seat (comfort package) in the veganza seats, then it also has seat cooling and comfort seats are way better than the standard sports seats. Dont take M package and leave it with a more sophisticated look :) You can see the base look also in this video: th-cam.com/video/dX8ooCSJbWg/w-d-xo.html

I love this drive review of 2026 Polestar 4 ❤
Love the sense of humour

So pleased to here someone finally comment on the fixed glass roof that is now so common. I live in the south of Portugal. My Lexus RZ450e has the electrochromatic tint but it still gets very hot inside in the summer. Even with the AC on and pointing up at the roof, when I am driving my head is several degrees hotter than the rest of me. I won't buy a car with this type of arrangement again. Either no pano/sunroof, or at least a proper sun blind.
can just underscore that!
It's crazy that they don't fit the electric sunroof blind.... stupid cost cutting.
@@wezzman1 I'd take a hand cranked one, like an ancient sunroof, even....anything to save my balding head!
They have an optional sun shade that you can install and remove on your own.
You two are so fun to watch 😅
thanks m8 :)
man, polestar is super expensive, comparing to the tesla for instance, yes, materials are better, but chargen network is not there, lower efficiency, for more money they should offer more, but at the end they offer less.
I'm a Tesla owner, but I really like Polestar too. They mak some great cars.
I am told that the reason the rear window was taken out was to move the D pillar further back to give far more roof strength and headroom.
yep thats the official marketing explanation, but I rather work with effective results... as shown in the video
Price at €84k makes me wonder whether I will have more fun with an Alfa, Mini, or Smart at around half that cost.
you re welcome!
Just drove one today .. stunning car!

And I think it's so cool with that camera
thanks so much!
Leah and Thomas, your camera work is the best in the industry. Looks like 8k!
thanks so much !!
Thanks for the detailed review!
I saw the car in the showroom recently, and the interior quality is absolutely top-notch. I compared it to the Polestar 3 and didn’t get that car at all.
The main issue with the 4th model, in my opinion, isn’t the lack of a rear window (I just feel bad for the cars driving behind, they won't be able to look through),
it’s the price with all the options…
cheers !

It is wider than a tesla model x...
Agreed. Such a wide car will be very hard to park in most cities (maybe except American ones). The rest of the car is really nice, though, IMO.

Just let me move my own vents.
ye that was the point but there are plenty of cars with headroom out there which have a rear window, plus this one doesnt have much headroom...
I wish they'd kept the shooting brake/estate roof line of the Zeekr 001 brother, I think that's the real tragedy.
yeah..
Thomas,
Another thorough review. Let’s see what happens?
cheers! Ya the new CEO will bring in some changes quickly
three models, 27 markets with seven more this year, solid owner, I dont worry about the future
Agreed. Ask Tesla 😂
A shade absorbs light and heats up inside the car. A white surface within the glass reflects it.
You can optionally by a shade that you easely click on :)
I think this will be an awesome car when they iron out all the driver assist software bugs and it get a year or two of development. Hope they survive that long so i can buy one. So fair i am happy in my Polestar 2
The lack of rear window doesn’t bother me. I love the design and the uniqueness.
I am in the market for this next year - Absolutely want the uniqueness and have no interest in Tesla. No real alternatives out there otherwise TBH.
Exactly. When I had an issue, the engineers dealing with it were in Sweden, not China.
wow looks great genesis!!
The design is gorgeous 🥰 🎉
I need one ❤
Yes, I think so too. Very nice looking.
Hilarious review. Thanks again :). Interesting car.
cheers !
Damn Lea was ready to go today hahah lovely review as always
cheers m8 !

How is no stalks even remotely "the future"? Car makers 30 years ago could have removed the stalks in favor of normal buttons, but they didn't, it was a choice, and it will be a choice, but not the future :)
Overall impression is good car, from a niche brand, and expensive, not sure but it's not for me, hope they stay alive but it's hard justifying buying this in the current market.
Not sure why people make such a big deal and confused with the car numbering and where its position in the product line?
For the panoramic roof more companies should do like BYD seal and silver coat it. It handles the heat alot better compared to a Tesla for example.
the charger is actually cooled, if you put the phone on the pad, and listen you will hear a fan kick on
Oh interesting maybe that vent is wayyy hidden!
@@autogefuehl Yes I think so, when I first bought the car I tried to look down the thing with a flash light but could see it either, it’s probably in the back. Unless they changed something for the European market, if you get a chance you can try to see if you can hear the fan kicking on to confirm.

They would have to move the rear steel beam in order to fit a rear window. That would result in worse headroom and less inclined seats.

That’s what he said! 😂
Polestar 3 and 4 seem rather similar in size. Dont understand the market segmentation.
It's what Geely has that they feel is ready for "prime time", namely, the U.S. and world market. They definitely will cannibalize sales from each other but they are different enough to, honestly, flesh out a Polestar lineup that is as sparse as a product line could be and still exist: one model in the last five years.
No está en el canal en español!! Esta prueba es muy interesante 🙏
Thank you so much! Please recommend / share our channel and our videos 🙏
U mean when it drives slowly? Then it is a mandatory feature to emit that sound
Indeed. Thats for outside, shouldn’t be that audible inside

Dude, please get your facts straight. Volvo has NOT sold its Polestar shares, they are reducing their share from 43% to 18%.
they gave away share yes, I didnt want to get so detailed about it, ultimately, they want to cut the ties. You are free to add the details, grateful for that, but dont "dude" me
Wow. I think we know what the backseat was used for when the camera was off.
What will be more expensive, an all-natural Scottish wool sweater or a popular brand sweater made from PET bottles??? The same should go for cars, right???
You definitely won't need that wool sweater under this vehicles glass roof. So buy the PET one and keep it in your frunk.
I saw it half year ago and sat into it. I think it DOES look amazing

Also, the rear seats are reclinable which would not be possible without the absence of a rear window.

When you drive fast the air cool the roof and it does not get very hot, so only in the heavy traffic you can sometimes feel a bit the heat, but again, AC does the job.
thanks for the feedback!
should have perhaps mentioned that Volvo is owned by Geely already, so its an internal re-organisation of financial structure...
I said that Geely is the owner anyway, yeah. Still this shows that Volvo wants to get rid of them
Thank you for your effort. Would you add charging speeds for EV tests?
we always mention charging speeds in every EV review!
Some reviewers in 1998: First iMac - oh no floppy drive
Some reviewers in 2024: Polestar 4 - oh no rear window
Yeah, I'm sure this windowless design will become a trend when full autonomy becomes reality. But, for now, it's just kind of weird design flourish that will ultimately hurt sales.
@@cbotten106 i disagree, it is nice with something different and I think it looks great
Very nice car! If only it had a 2 liter petrol engine with around 200PS it would be perfect :)
@autogefuehl exactly. So you still need to physically push it. Capacitive alone won't do anything like VW for example
Bit like the old "Buckel" Volvo that had a tiny rear window and high boot...
Lots of low quality gadgets. No button key fob. Door handles respond on third try, and then you need to wait for them to present. What's the point?
The back is really sexy, the sexist car if you see a real one from behind.
6:25 100 Kw/h is the battery capacity, 400 kw is the energy output equivalent of 536 horse powers.
ya, did I say something else?
Does this Polestar 4 have a 360dec cameras as Volvo does? Then it would not be an issue if rear window or not (Volvo C40 driver here)

I agree with your comment that it's about being informative, but also you can have some fun while doing it!
highly appreciate that!
Yep if thats not a high extra price go for it
I am from China and am looking forward to buying this car. It is generally quiet, right? I am super care for cars NVH 😂
Check driving part!
Sorry Guys!
I know a lot of cars with rear window that’s useless. So this isn’t such a dealbreaker after all. A good camera will do the job better
That's what he said 🤣🤣🤣
Hi Thomas, as you have the experience with EV driving, I have a question: i need to order a new car and im thinking about a PS4 dual motor plus or a bmw i5 sedan/touring with the m pack and not many more options.
@@autogefuehl thanks for the Swift respons. The black rooflining is only on the M pack i suppose? Just to be optional in the past on lux, sport or M
hmm I think so
What is the point of electric fuel / charging point?
I will be thankful when all mirrors are replaced by cameras.
Most likely the former.
Thomas and Leah getting freaky lol
