The live band at the pool were excellent. The vocalist reminded me of Gloria Estefan. The Monkey Island cost $25, but it was fun to feed them. i counted 4 parrots at the shopping center. Free chairs at the pool and beach was a plus.
Thank you so much for this video, we are going there on Norwegian Escape in February! The excursion we tried to book only had 1 seat left so we’ve been at a loss as to what we were going to do. My husband can’t swim so any snorkeling or dolphin excursions are out. Are there chairs and loungers on the beach?
Just had a 5 day cruise on RC Mariner of the Seas, and this was a stop. Being my first cruise ever, i was excited to see some exotic places. I honestly didn't care for it, because the vendors and taxi drivers are extremely pushy. We ended up paying $50 for one, because the guy would NOT take no for an answer! We saw some cool stuff, but they drove us to gift shops, and it was so off putting for me, that if i ever cruise again, I'm not going past the off ship area... Heck, even the shopkeepers right off the port were annoying.
Going on my first cruise next year Feb on NCL escape! This is our first port! When you say it was a little cold, how cold was a little cold? Not sure if it would be good to swim in February there. I hope so, though. Thanks for your video.
GREAT video ! So if I am following you showed us what is there for free right ? I mean you can go to the beach and use a pool without paying for an excursion right?
Looks great. I am going on NCL Breakaway in June and counting down already. The beach area you mentioned, Can you go in the water? Regardless the view is nice and so close to the ship too. The pool area you mentioned is Free?
@@Elpipo01 Do I need a cab to get to El Malecon? Is it in walking distance? Any info will be appreciated. Share a link about El Malecon if you have any.
We are coming over from the UK, I like handbags, can you tell me the best place for handbags (reasonably priced, oh and perfumes please :) .. Thank you
Staying in the port area seems quite unproductive to me. We have visited quite a few ports and all of them seem like a big 'money grab' to me. I agree that the drink prices looked reasonable, but on the other hand the ship is only 100 yards away and if you have the drink package already why pay for drinks just to sit at the port? Do you have any insight into perhaps an all inclusive place inland where you can take a taxi and sit/swim by the ocean and have drinks and food delivered to your table? All inclusive perhaps? We are accustomed to visiting the other side of the Gulf where these type of places are easy to find and get to. The daughter was insistent that we visit this side of the cruise destinations this time and to be real honest I'm not liking what I'm seeing. We are going to Peurto Plata, St Thomas and Tortola....everything looks incredibly expensive and scenery means very little to me. Can you help alleviate my down trodden view of things?
Honestly the all inclusive options were ehhh. Change of scenery is why we got off. There are more excursions now because this was a year and a half ago as Covid regulations eased up. What are your other ports in total? Which ship?
once getting off the ship, for 8 hours, only i can go to shopping? or can we do other activities such as going to beaches and swimming and so on? I am not interested in shopping. we want to go to the beaches and do something else.
Nice Video we spent time in PP and it was a great day. The cable car in PP was lots of fun as well.
Thank you, I am going in 2023. So happy that there is a wonderful pool area. Thanks for sharing!
You are very welcome!

We our going on the Monsters Of Rock Cruise in April on Royal Caribbean. Can't wait.

There is some facing the ship. It’s not a traditional beach though.

We enjoyed ourselves ❤️
We are too
This video didn't show the beach. Would you say this port is really just for shopping and the pool?
the area by the pool doesn't have a real beach.
We are coming over from the UK, I like handbags, can you tell me the best place for handbags (reasonably priced, oh and perfumes please :) .. Thank you
Nassau, St. Maarten, St. Thomas!
Does the ship provide many excursions? Can you name a few? Thanks.
The ship did. There was a local tour, snorkeling, beach day.

Is this the same port Virgin goes to?
Can you tell me how to get to pool area.
You just walk right through the one store!
Is the water cool there in early June?
The pool? I would assume it’d be a little warmer.

There are excursions
This video info that I needed. However, it made me diZzy as the camera moved so fast.
