In this video we go around the city of Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic and explore all the top things to do and places to go! This video is a great tourist guide for those who are interested in visiting Puerto Plata. We first ride the Teleferico which is a mountain cable car all the way up to El Parque Nacional de Isabel Torres and then explore the park which is at the peak of the mountain. After that we make our way to Downtown Puerto Plata starting with Parque central Independencia and then moving to Umbrella street and pink street! We then take a nice ride down the malecon and end the day with a beachside dinner at La Carihuela! We're excited for you to check it out!

I just came from Turkey, was there for almost a month . I could count with 1 hand people smiling back at me 😒. Im Dominican raised in USA. next time I go to Turkey I’ll wear a tshirt saying in Turkish “Smile, is free”. Now I understand why people like my country Dominican Republic.

@@WyattandReyka Ну путешествовать в любой стране где ты не живёшь интересно. В Турции сервис хороший, море Средиземное тёплое ну и цены на товары ниже . Да и горы тоже красота
We're you in Puerto Plata or Punta Cana Puerto Plata people were very friendly I thought in Punta Cana they don't seem so happy most are not from that area shipped in to work at the resorts so away from families and not thrilled to be waiting on us hand and foot ..Puerto Plata resorts have locals working there they seem to be happier in my experience . Their city is lovely I luv it so much better then Punta Cana
I went on the cable cars had wonderful ride gorgeous day birds riding right beside us .. wonderful views you just got a bad day which isn't the norm I can't say I ever had a bad day in Puerto Plata been 3 times cobfessi vh gran twice .. luv it

😮 for showing me some pictures of Puerto Plata and things to do very interesting we've never been to this Resort or part we've been to put the Canada and Cuba mostly and we are thinking above put the plateau

Depends on who does the rating. I love it there! I think that the only thing that is missing is a modern shopping Center like in Santiago or Santo-Domingo. The one at the golf course (playa Dorada) doesn’t cut it. I’m still considering on moving there in the future.

We stayed in LifeStyles resort, which is a 10 minute drive from there. Very Nice.

Good job! You touched on the nicest parts. My parents owned a gift shop named Casa Blanca right by the "Pink Street." You missed La Fortaleza and some other cool spots but great video overall.

Nice vacation video, you went downtown, used a cable car and went to a restaurant, but was that really 7 separate things to do?

The seven separate things were ride the teleférico, go to Isabel de Torres park, visit the town square, check out umbrella street, go to Doña Blanca (pink street), drive down the malecón, and get food on the beach!
Some things to do are bigger and some smaller but all worth doing 🤗 thanks for keeping us honest! Take care!

So glad this was useful! Oh man, it depends how long you have available. The Christ Statue round trip probably will take around 2-3 hours. Super fun, but idk if it's worth it

Absolutely. As at any cruise port, you will be inundated with cab drivers offering to tour you around. If you have a map, paper or your phone, you can easily walk to the fort and to the most popular tourist areas within 15 minutes. It actually takes longer just to get off the boat and get out of the official port area, than it does to walk to the attractions.

by the way , the teleférico got a new owner am pretty sure and it’s doing a lot better . Also when you come back from teleférico you can go to the Catalina, it’s a restaurant close to the mountain. A very good restaurant

Hey there! 🤗 The Beach is super close to umbrella and pink street. All are walking distance. The best beach, playa grande, which we didn't get around to visiting is probably walking distance or a short taxi ride away. Have a wonderful trip!

We are thinking of taking the cable car just for the views as the cave and lagoon sure don't look worth it. If we get a clear day, would the views be worth it? Also, did you visit Playa Dorada while there?
The cable car was fun and on a clear day I think those views would definitely be worth it!!! 🤗 honestly don’t quite remember if we made it to playa dorada, but I’m guessing all the beaches up there will be pretty nice. Have a great trip 🥰

Probably! It’s easy to stop by an ATM also to get some pesos 😊
